  1. Welcome to Vapor Talk.
  2. Yay.... sales! The more things go on sale, the more I give a whole new definition to "...get back ups. And back ups of back ups and back ups of those..."
  3. I've got such a stock pile of "back ups" that I should be okay for quite some time (read: years). The only thing I haven't got in huge supply is the e-liquid but that should soon be rectified. Other than that, not doing much else but taking a wait and see approach.
  4. Adding to all of the above, take a Q-tip and wet it just a bit with rubbing alcohol. Use this to clean the center pin on your battery and also clean the center pin on your charger. Those can get pretty gunked up too.
  5. Only 11, silly. Still, you're probably right that if the need arises, I can sell these puppies for a mint!
  6. The UK is going forward and embracing vaping as the good thing it truly is while the US is doing just the opposite and vilifying it. I don't understand how so-called "intelligent" people can follow bad and biased research like sheep and make such unimaginably bad choices for regulation. I'm all for sensible regulation like not letting kids vape and setting a minimum age, making sure the quality of hardware and liquids are up to a certain standard... but this... this is not sensible at all. It's more a blatant attempt to wipe out an industry that has done so much good for so many people and instead set things up in favor of large companies that really don't have people's good health in mind but rather profits and greed.
  7. The more I see, the less anything makes sense anymore, Bebop. If you read further on the TSA website you'll see all the things that are prohibited to take onto a plane. You've gotta know that some wit tried to bring those things aboard at one time or another for it to be on that list. The one that got my attention is the listing for "hand grenade." Seriously? And they had a problem with my tiny Bic mini lighter back when I was smoking and removed a couple of extra packs of safety matches because it was too many and over their quantity limit?
  8. Aw, you're sweet to say, Jason, but you made it so easy. I'm glad you decided to delurk and become one of the most knowledgeable and trustworthy members to go to for battery advice on VT.
  9. According to the TSA website: https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/prohibited-items Batteries and mods and tanks and such can still be in your carry on (not in checked). I'd also double check with the to and from airports just to be sure of what they allow.
  10. The last time I flew was a couple of years ago and I just put my juice into the 1 quart baggie with the rest of the liquids. The mods and such were no big deal. Too much time has passed and I'm sure the rules have changed much since then. Sorry, no help here.
  11. Psst! It's actually 4400 mAh, but when you get that high, the other 200 mAh is pretty irrelevant. I just got two more in today -- this time in silver because they were out of black.
  12. Your knowledge well surpasses mine these days... you've done so well and helped so many others in turn. You're amazing, Earthling! And I want to add how proud I am of you spending other people's money and making them like it. Yes, four whole years. I couldn't believe it when it was just one...
  13. Thanks, Bebop. You're one of the reasons why it's so much fun.
  14. Thanks, BirdDog. Couldn't have done it without you.
  15. I've learned from some of the best. Thanks for all your patience, Jeff!
  16. ... I picked up my first e-cigarette. It was an eGo 650 mAh topped off with a CE4 that was quickly replaced the next week with a T2 (short wick) that had just come out. Four days after that, I gave up the analogs altogether. Fast forward six months and I discovered Vapor Talk. The friendly and knowledgeable folks here helped my new found obsession grow. More friendly folks also worked hard to help me spend my money on new shiny things. With all the support and fun on Vapor Talk, four years have passed. I want to thank you all for making the journey so much fun!
  17. Aloha and kipa hou mai.
  18. So many outlandish changes all at once is just too much to take in. Thanks, Chris, for the summary of the long document full of legalese.
  19. Even with taking it up to 570F, it still did nothing. VapeNW has asked me to either send them pictures of what it's doing and/or video so they can "justify" the refund request.
  20. The temperature I started at was 300F but I went all the way to 570F with no joy. I love Kanger products and would have no problem changing to a different mod. Thanks for the rec, I'll keep it in mind. Where did you get yours?
  21. So... I finally jumped in and got a temperature control device and the nickel coils to go with my Triton 2. They all came in this week but I waited for the weekend so I could have time to play with it. Put the .15 ohm coil into the Triton (primed it first), waited a few minutes for the wick to get thoroughly saturated. Put the iStick 40W into temperature control mode. Locked the resistance in at .16 ohm, set the temperature to 200F to start. Nothing. It's not firing. When I check the resistance, it's now reading at 0.06 ohm. This is why it's not firing as the iStick 40W only goes to 0.15 ohm in TC. Changed to a different coil. It reads 0.16 ohm (both on the iStick and on an independent ohm meter). Let it sit for a bit. Take another look and it's back at 0.06 ohm and won't fire. I've put in an email to VapeNW for an exchange as I think I got a bad one, but probably won't hear back from them until Monday. In the mean time, for those of you who are more experienced in TC, do you have any suggetions?
  22. No biggie. I still think one coil at a time works best for me.
  23. Thanks for the information, Earthling, I know I can always count on you. Man, but that would suck if you thought you had two coils with the same resistance and they weren't built right... One coil at a time if more than enough for me.
  24. TWO??? Do you know how long the coils last, Earthling? With the dark, sweet juices I vape, that could get very expensive very quickly.
