  1. Three drops seems to lessen the gurgling but it's still there -- just less. I'll try cutting it down to two. Thanks for the help!
  2. Probably should've noted that I was using the twist at the lowest setting in the original post. Sorry for the omission. Once I drip the juice in I usually hit it until I get a slight burny taste like I read in other threads. Am I hitting it too often? Thanks for the advice, Blu! I'll give that a try.
  3. 1.5 -- that's all they had at the brick and mortar store I frequent. Would you suggest I use a different resistance? Which ones would be better? I thought four drops would be okay and it shouldn't be flooded with that.
  4. Got some Joyetech 510 B type attys for direct dripping. So many people here recommended them so much for better tasting the e-liquids that it got me curious. I'm looking at you, Kitsune. Now I have some questions. Sometimes when I'm drawing on it the thing makes a gurgling sound. There's only four drops of liquid in there. Am I doing something wrong? Drawing too hard? Do I need to wait a bit between dripping and taking a hit from it? How hard or softly do I draw from it? Does it matter? Which atty (brand, ohm, whatever) do you prefer? I'm using this on the ego C twist. Would the 650 passthrough be a better battery choice? There are so many choices I'm really confused. Sorry for all the questions but I'd really like to make this work. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
  5. Got home from work tonight and found that my new Ego C Twist arrived. I should've bought this some time ago. OMG. Someone said that the numbers were very small and hard to read in another thread. Boy, were they ever right! My eye sight isn't the best anymore anyway so without bright light and some squinting I couldn't make out which way was lower or higher. Finally got it set and gave it a try... This 1000 mAh is nearly 1 1/2 inches bigger than my 650s but it's not bad. I think I just need to get used to the extra length. lol. So far I've got it set at the lowest setting (3.2?) and loving the cool vape. The flavor of the e-liquid comes through stronger than I've ever tasted before (using a Stardust V2 right now). Eventually, I'll probably play with the settings but I think I've found my "sweet spot" already. And talk about great customer service! Brian also included two bottles of e-juice in my order. Thanks, Brian, for not only a great product but also a great shopping experience. You've got a new return customer.
  6. Like McQuinn said above, I highly recommend the Stardust. It's pretty maintenance free and easy to use with good vapor output and gives a lovely flavor of whatever e-liquid you're using.
  7. The stardust clearomizers with the long wicks give off the best tasting vapor and user friendly of nearly everything I've tried so far. Even as a noob I've managed to try quite a few clearos. Just be aware that once in a while you'll hear gurgling while pulling on a stardust. All you have to do is unscrew it and dab a tissue in the battery connection to get the excess e-liquid out, blow INTO the stardust (with a tissue under the thing to catch liquid) and then dab the bottom to dry. Screw back on and continue to vape. For some reason every now and then some juice will get into the center post and make it gurgle. Not a big deal but something to keep an eye on to get the best use of these things. ^___^
  8. I can't speak for anyone else but what I did was... when I wanted a cigarette, I just had one. Then, I went back to vaping. By doing that it took the pressure off and by the fifth day I was totally off the analogs. The good thing about vaping is that it's not an all or nothing choice. Good for you that you're working on it though. Welcome and good luck!
  9. Aw, man, that sucks! I'm so sorry to hear about your dead twist. I'm really looking forward to playing around with mine when it gets here. Everyone has such good advice!
  10. I've been using 1.5 to 1.8 mAh in the CC clearo. Will play with those a bit before getting different ones to try. As for trying to read the numbers on the dial... an idea came to me while I was reading your comment: a little dab of blue nail polish on the lowest setting and a dab of red on the highest. That might help so I know where it's at without having to break out the microscope. Great advice. Thanks!
  11. Sweet spot. Check. Got it. Thanks for the help!
  12. Sounds like some very valuable but easy to remember advice. Thanks, Blu! The CC clearo I use has the ability to change out the atty at different Oohms so I'll get a few in a wide range to see what works best.
  13. That all makes sense, thanks! The twisty "boost button" is a good way to remember it, too. I think I read somewhere that some attys, carts, and/or clearos work better with certain juices and certain volts but I can't remember where that was. Good grief, there's so much to learn but it's kinda fun doing it.
  14. From the beginning I've been using ego T2 650 mAh pass throughs. My favorite is using an ego CC (changeable coil) 2.4 ml clearomizer or a Stardust V2. I just recently purchased an ego C twist that should be here any time now (thanks, Brian!). I've seen that it's really popular with many of you so could you give some tips to a new user? What voltage gives cooler or warmer vapes? I don't even know enough about this to figure out what questions to ask... Help?

    Help!

Hi Laurel. I'm new here, too! *waves* My set up is an ego 650 pass through, that means you can plug it in and continue using it while it's charging. The 650 mAh works all day for me, I used to smoke about a pack of analogs a day. Just ordered a 1000 mAh ego C twist from Jeff...er...um... Brian the other day and I'm waiting for it to get here. Should be any day now. The clearomizer/cartomizer/whatever they're called that Mike... it is Mike, right? linked to above is what I use on the ego. They are wonderful, in my opinion, and very user friendly. Everyone here is very friendly and helpful, even though it's hard to keep from mixing up names.
  16. Whee! Welcome and good for you that you switched to vaping!
  17. Hi Emily! I'm new here, too.
  18. In my short time of being on e-cigs I think I've tried every version of the Stardust out there. The idea of the Stardust and not having to refill all the time was what had me keep trying but I ran into the same thing although now that I know what not to do it's much better. Still, there are better alternatives out there.
  19. When that happens on any of my clearomizers I just unscrew the thing, carefully wipe the battery connection end to get the extra e-liquid out and dry. Then, with a tissue, I blow into the clearmozier (gently but firmly) to get as much of the liquid out and dab a clean corner of tissue into the end of the clearomizer. Screw on and vape. The gurgly sound usually happens when I over tip the thing... Hope that helps
  20. Thank you muchly for the information, Chris. Um... I did see this video you made. I think about 30 seconds in I was so busy being in awe of the wide array of e-juices behind you that I totally forgot to pay attention to what you were saying. Then, when I finally got it back together I was sidetracked by the bird chirping in the background. What kind of bird(s) do you have? Honestly, my attention span is... *wanders off toward another shiny thing*
  21. I'm not sure if my battery is set up for a 510 or not. It's an eGo T2 pass through at 650 mAh if that makes a difference? I keep reading that direct drip gives the best "true" flavor of the e-liquid. I'll pick up some supplies and go looking for Chris' instructions. Thanks! Cartridges and I didn't get along well at all so I gave them up rather quickly. As for fool proof... I seem to have a knack for proving people wrong on that point. *sighs* :P
  22. No problem, I appreciate your help. I'm still such a noob and am stumbling around trying to find something that will work for me long term. This CE4 just came in the mail today and I'm not very happy with it so I'm back to my usual. I'm rather curious about this dripping I've heard so much about but don't have a clue how to go about it... You wouldn't happen to be in Southern Colorado, would you?
  23. Thanks for the information, Birddog. I don't know if this makes a difference or not but when I Googled CE4 to pin down the exact one I have, there are so many different versions. The one I'm talking about is this: http://www.ecigbestsave.com/CE4-Clearomizers-p/ce4.htm Of everything I've tried so far, it's by far the harshest draw I've ever experienced. It doesn't seem to matter if I hit it lightly or pull hard. *gags* :P
  24. Does it matter if you're using the direct drip, cartomizer, atomizer or a clearomizer? I just got my CE4 clearomizer and it seems to make the e-liquid harsher than I'm used to. Could be that I'm doing something wrong. *coughs*
  25. Thanks for the post and the name of the glass bottle store, Chris! I've been wanting to transfer my e-liquid into glass bottles for some time now. Just ordered a bunch. Thanks again!
