  1. Aw, man, that sucks! I'm so sorry to hear about your dead twist. I'm really looking forward to playing around with mine when it gets here. Everyone has such good advice!
  2. I've been using 1.5 to 1.8 mAh in the CC clearo. Will play with those a bit before getting different ones to try. As for trying to read the numbers on the dial... an idea came to me while I was reading your comment: a little dab of blue nail polish on the lowest setting and a dab of red on the highest. That might help so I know where it's at without having to break out the microscope. Great advice. Thanks!
  3. Sweet spot. Check. Got it. Thanks for the help!
  4. Sounds like some very valuable but easy to remember advice. Thanks, Blu! The CC clearo I use has the ability to change out the atty at different Oohms so I'll get a few in a wide range to see what works best.
  5. That all makes sense, thanks! The twisty "boost button" is a good way to remember it, too. I think I read somewhere that some attys, carts, and/or clearos work better with certain juices and certain volts but I can't remember where that was. Good grief, there's so much to learn but it's kinda fun doing it.
  6. From the beginning I've been using ego T2 650 mAh pass throughs. My favorite is using an ego CC (changeable coil) 2.4 ml clearomizer or a Stardust V2. I just recently purchased an ego C twist that should be here any time now (thanks, Brian!). I've seen that it's really popular with many of you so could you give some tips to a new user? What voltage gives cooler or warmer vapes? I don't even know enough about this to figure out what questions to ask... Help?

    Help!

Hi Laurel. I'm new here, too! *waves* My set up is an ego 650 pass through, that means you can plug it in and continue using it while it's charging. The 650 mAh works all day for me, I used to smoke about a pack of analogs a day. Just ordered a 1000 mAh ego C twist from Jeff...er...um... Brian the other day and I'm waiting for it to get here. Should be any day now. The clearomizer/cartomizer/whatever they're called that Mike... it is Mike, right? linked to above is what I use on the ego. They are wonderful, in my opinion, and very user friendly. Everyone here is very friendly and helpful, even though it's hard to keep from mixing up names.
  8. Whee! Welcome and good for you that you switched to vaping!
  9. Hi Emily! I'm new here, too.
  10. In my short time of being on e-cigs I think I've tried every version of the Stardust out there. The idea of the Stardust and not having to refill all the time was what had me keep trying but I ran into the same thing although now that I know what not to do it's much better. Still, there are better alternatives out there.
  11. When that happens on any of my clearomizers I just unscrew the thing, carefully wipe the battery connection end to get the extra e-liquid out and dry. Then, with a tissue, I blow into the clearmozier (gently but firmly) to get as much of the liquid out and dab a clean corner of tissue into the end of the clearomizer. Screw on and vape. The gurgly sound usually happens when I over tip the thing... Hope that helps
  12. Thank you muchly for the information, Chris. Um... I did see this video you made. I think about 30 seconds in I was so busy being in awe of the wide array of e-juices behind you that I totally forgot to pay attention to what you were saying. Then, when I finally got it back together I was sidetracked by the bird chirping in the background. What kind of bird(s) do you have? Honestly, my attention span is... *wanders off toward another shiny thing*
  13. I'm not sure if my battery is set up for a 510 or not. It's an eGo T2 pass through at 650 mAh if that makes a difference? I keep reading that direct drip gives the best "true" flavor of the e-liquid. I'll pick up some supplies and go looking for Chris' instructions. Thanks! Cartridges and I didn't get along well at all so I gave them up rather quickly. As for fool proof... I seem to have a knack for proving people wrong on that point. *sighs* :P
  14. No problem, I appreciate your help. I'm still such a noob and am stumbling around trying to find something that will work for me long term. This CE4 just came in the mail today and I'm not very happy with it so I'm back to my usual. I'm rather curious about this dripping I've heard so much about but don't have a clue how to go about it... You wouldn't happen to be in Southern Colorado, would you?
  15. Thanks for the information, Birddog. I don't know if this makes a difference or not but when I Googled CE4 to pin down the exact one I have, there are so many different versions. The one I'm talking about is this: http://www.ecigbestsave.com/CE4-Clearomizers-p/ce4.htm Of everything I've tried so far, it's by far the harshest draw I've ever experienced. It doesn't seem to matter if I hit it lightly or pull hard. *gags* :P
  16. Does it matter if you're using the direct drip, cartomizer, atomizer or a clearomizer? I just got my CE4 clearomizer and it seems to make the e-liquid harsher than I'm used to. Could be that I'm doing something wrong. *coughs*
  17. Thanks for the post and the name of the glass bottle store, Chris! I've been wanting to transfer my e-liquid into glass bottles for some time now. Just ordered a bunch. Thanks again!
  18. Thanks for the welcome! So far I think I'm in the "spend roughly the same amount as analogs and have a plethora of awesome devices and toys to play with" camp. *looks over at growing stash of ecig stuff* I think I'll need an intervention soon. Lol.
  19. Somehow I'm not having any trouble discovering the new stuff to buy, OMG. Just ordered half a dozen new e-liquids tonight and then stumbled onto a new clearomizer and... and... *sighs* Still, it's not as expensive as when I was still on the analogs. So far. XD
  20. Thanks! And so I've been finding out. At first I thought there were too many different brands until I started looking at each manufacturer to find too many different models, lol. Now, it's off to try to wade through the different e-liquids and various stores and... :P
  21. Why, thank you, Ron. *raises glass*
  22. What I like with my eGo T2 passthrough and eGo C passthrough is the eGo 2.4 ml changeable coil clearomizer. It holds a lot of liquid, the inside coil can be changed, there are different ohms to choose from and I can vape on this all day. Once the e-liquid gets dark and... icky (usually near the end of my chain vaping episodes), I just take the top off, unscrew the atomizer, rinse everything with warm water and let dry overnight. Once the atomizer doesn't work like I want, I just replace that part only. I think most places sell packs of five atomizers for around $3.99?
  23. Thank you, kitsune! I like your "name" by the way. From every post and thread I've read here so far this seems like a wonderful place full of happy, friendly people. I think I'm going to like it here.
  24. And I'll just bet Pink has you rushing to do her bidding, too! Maltese are a wonderful breed. We used to have a male puppy mill rescue, Mikey, but he had to be put to sleep last year. He made it 14 years though, which is a long run for the kind of start he got. Pink is lucky to have found you and your family. :smiles:
  25. Thanks, Mike. I just wish I would've found this forum when I first started. It would've saved me the steep learning curve I went through initially. Since you're experienced with ecigs, have you ever heard of an eGo T2 pass through upgrade battery? That's what I've been using but haven't seen them anywhere else other than the store where I bought them. I'm told they're original and come from the manufacturer, they have all the logos and everything... maybe this is a question I should put up in another thread?
