In one of me T2s I have a blend of 30% Starbuckets Mocha (6 mg nic, 50/50 PG/VG) and 70% Dulce de Leche (6 mg nic, 70 PG/30 VG). Lately, I've really been stuck on the Dulce de Leche flavor, it's really mellow but addicting. These are both from Sweet-Vapes. Other flavors that I switch off to are cranberry from The Vapor Room (12 mg nic, 75/25 PG/VG) and Vanilla Malt and the Chocolate Malt from EC Blend (both at 6 mg, 50/50, extra flavor). As time goes by my tastes change and I'll go back to flavors that I didn't think were so great at first and find them wonderful. Other flavors that I chain vaped at first might not appeal as much but could make a come back later on. Then, you'll also find that flavors themselves change with how long they steep. Next, we'll get you direct dripping. You'll notice a difference in how everything tastes... *whispers* Hey, Kitsune! Am I doing this recruiting to direct dripping thing right? ^_____^

First, welcome and congratulations! From what you wrote, you probably had the best jumping to e-cig experience anyone could ask for. I wish I'd found Vapor Talk before I made the switch. -First question. After a few hours, my throat feels a little sensative to the hits and feels like it would if I were smoking way too much. Is that a normal thing and will it subside or stay with me. Would a different PG/VG ratio, say 50/50, make it better? What Mike said makes a lot of sense. Also, what flavors are you using? In my experience, limited as it may be, I've found that different flavors affect me in different ways. There are days when the citrus of the Mojito is just what I'm wanting and others when it's almost a burning sensation in my mouth and throat. There are times when the sweet coffee flavors go down oh so smooth but other days when it's too heavy. In my quest as a noobie to find what juice works for me I've amassed everything from 70 pg/30 vg, 50/50, to 100% VG and in nicotine levels from 0 to 24 mg. It's different for everyone and you'll have the pleasure of discovering what works best for you. And it changes as your body recovers from the analogs, too, I've found. Second question. When I first turn on my ego and take my first drag, I hear a popping sound. Is that the batt connection or something else making the noise. You didn't mention what you have on your eGo battery. Is it a clearomizer, cartomizer, atomizer...? Assuming it's a clearomizer like the Stardust or T2, just unscrew it from the battery and blow into the mouth piece into a tissue. See if any liquid comes out. Dab a little into the bottom near the air hole. If you see some liquid there, keep blowing gently for a while. Also, dab a corner into the top of your battery to clear any liquid there. If there's liquid in either or both those places when I start, I usually get a popping or crackling noise for a bit. Third question. I went with the 12 mg juice because all were saying the ultra-lights were equivilant to 6 mg juice. Really didn't seem that way to me. After a few hours the second day, I could tell I was getting a lot less nicotine than normal. Does that match with everyone else's experience? I didn't notice, but then I was pretty distracted trying to figure out the battery, clearomizers, juice and vaping in general all by myself. Anyway, sorry for the long reply but I'm glad you're off the analogs. Keep it up, you're going to feel even better than you do right now!

Three years... wow. That's amazing, Mike. Congratulations!

All your working life you've paid into Medicaid. Now, you're taking some of it out. Once you graduate and get a job making more, paying more, you'll pay back what you take out while you're in school. That's not taking any "handouts" in my book. You say that you're covered through the VA, which means you were in the military. I just want to say thank you.

If you're starting college soon have you checked to see if there's a clinic on site? I know it's not the same as health insurance but it's something. Many colleges and Universities that do have clinics have the fees set into the student fees so you won't have to pay when you see the doc, get low cost tests, discounts on prescriptions... it's worthwhile to check it out. Just a thought. Good luck with school!

What Drains A Battery Faster: High Voltage Or High Amperage?
Tam replied to Rixter's topic in General Vaping Discussion
It's the one where I'm chain-vaping... Sorry, no help here. -
If I remember right, the first several weeks was filled with some coughing stuff up, a little tightness in the chest, feeling tired, achy and just out of sorts. Then, after getting through that, I can now breathe easier, deeper, feel more energetic, and just better all around. Hang in there, you're doing good!

So sorry to hear about this. It sucks anytime to be off work without pay but even more so during the holidays. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it's not any longer...
-
Thanks for all the additional information! I'll keep it in mind should I want to explore the 306s.
-
Thanks for the info. Now, I have another question. Why do you need to use the 510 to 510 adapter in order to use the drip shield? :P
-
In order to use the 306 atty on an eGO battery, do you need some kind of an adapter?
-
When trying new flavors I buy 5 ml bottles. Once I know I like it I'll go to the 15 or 30 depending on how much I like the flavor. As for nicotine strength... I'm all over the place and have everything from 0 to 24 mg, it just depends on what I feel like at the time. Still too new to be able to pin it down to just one or even a few.

Need Help Chosing My Next Rig (Have Ego-C 1000Ma)
Tam replied to SmoothSmoke's topic in New Vapers Forum
If you want a variation of the eGo twist, try the Vision Spinner. It's essentially the same as the variable voltage twist but with the numbers on the bottom much clearer and easier to see. http://www.gotvapes.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1192&zenid=0947d4c03f545b503ca7054574319c3d I just recently got the 900 mAh version and it's so much easier to see where the voltage is. You can turn it up for a warmer vape, turn it down for cooler. For the best flavor I'd recommend direct dripping. For that you'd need an atomizer (get the lowest ohm rating for hotter vapor... 1.5 ohm I think is the lowest). If direct dripping you'll want the atomizer and a drip tip. A drip shield is needed to keep it all from being messy. For clearomizers, I love the eGo 2.4 ml CC (changeable coil). It holds 2.4 ml of liquid so you don't have to keep filling it all the time and it's the next best thing to dripping as far as flavor goes, imo. You can get those at The Veteran Vapor: http://www.theveteranvaper.com/ego-2-4ml-cc-long-wick-changeable-coil-clearomizer-clear/ You can get the replacement coils in different ohms (I think they have 1.5, 1.8, 2.0, etc.) Check with Brian and he'll be able to tell you more of what he has in stock. Good luck! -
You don't have to convince me, I'm already converted to direct dripping.
-
Kit, aren't you using the new ones with the longer wicks? I'm still using the short wicks I think I nearly bought Brian out of them. There's a little bit of muting on the flavors from direct dripping but it's not enough to make much of a difference.
-
I've tried the rebuildable Vision clearomizers and they were... okay. I much prefer the eGo CC clearos like Jeff recommended. He also linked you to Brian's site. You won't find better customer service anywhere! Those are my main ones if I'm not direct dripping. They're very easy to clean and you can just change out the atomizer if you change flavor. Personally, I like to keep several filled with different flavors so I just change the clearos. No wasting liquid that way.

You must have back ups for your back ups. The only thing I can comment on is the tips. You'll want to try different kinds of tips to find what works best and feels most comfortable for you. I've got several different kinds of tips that I like to switch off to. It just depends on what I feel like that day -- and what color battery I'm using. It's prettier when they match. ^____^ If you're going to do the direct dripping thing into the atomizer you'll definitely want to get a drip shield to keep the liquid from oozing all over. Then, you'll want to get different colored tips to match the color of your drip shields and...

What you can smell once you start with the ecigs is pretty amazing. I found one draw back of sorts. I'm very allergic to perfumes, colognes, scented... anything, and now I can smell them so much better. Lol! You're doing good, Suzi. Keep it up! But if you feel the need for an analog every once in a while, don't beat yourself up over it, just get back to vaping when ready.
-
Yep, what Jeff said. When I started my main concern was that I didn't want to give myself an excuse to go back to analogs. A dead battery that I couldn't use because it was charging would've been a prime example so I got a pass through. They work great.
-
What kind of battery are you currently using? That might be the culprit... maybe. My tried and true are the eGo T 650 mAh pass throughs although I do have a couple different twists. eGo 650s are pretty inexpensive and very good work horses imo.

I Thought I Would Feel So Much Better Than I Do
Tam replied to Suzicube's topic in General Vaping Discussion
After smoking for so many years it's going to take more than one week before you start to feel better. Hang in there, Suzi! Your body's working through quite a few changes. While this is happening you're going to feel tired, cranky, sore all over, and generally just... not well. If you stick with this, it really does get better like everyone's said. I think we've all been where you are now and we all sympathize with you. -
I second the Starbuckets Mocha from Sweet-Vapes.com. You might also check out Virgin Vapors' site. They have a Kona Milkshake that's just wonderful. I got that at 12 mg, 100 VG.
-
Welcome! I think you're going to like it here.

When vaping you might also try to open your mouth and also exhale through your nose. I hated doing that with analogs because it burned, but it doesn't hurt with vaping, it helps me to taste the juice a bit better.
