  1. The 1000 mAh batteries are a bit on the long side, about 5 inches and that's just the battery itself. The kit Jeff linked you to has the 650 batteries that are about 3 inches long and much more portable. The 1000 mAh will last longer (by a couple of hours or so), but with two 650s fully charged, that should be more than good.
  2. Welcome! So, are you taking orders for the free Thai food now? Or should we wait just a little bit until you find your footing here?
  3. Before I say anything, would you mind giving us a link to the starter kit for $79.99? Without getting more details of what it comes with and what it is, it would be too hard to tell you if it's a good deal or not. Welcome and glad you're asking questions!
  4. I have a Vision Vivi Nova Mini (the 2.5 ml) version. It's still a bit on the bigger side even on my eGo 1000 mAh. Right now I'm waiting for some sleeves to hide the threads when I use it. It works great, though. Have you ever tried the T2? I like those better than the Stardusts. You can get the Vivi Nova, Vivi Nova Mini and the T2 from Brian at The Veteran Vapor store. Hopefully, you can stick around here for a bit after your next training. I've missed seeing you around.
  5. Try a Vision Nano. It's small so it'll work on your eGo mini. It only holds 1 ml of juice, is a bottom feeder and so far it's worked perfectly for me. I've had two for over a month now and they still work well. Just be sure not to use something with too high a VG content (too thick), and let it set for a few minutes before using for the first time. Glad to see you back, Blu!
  6. From my personal experience vaping instead of smoking has made a huge difference in my lungs. I got a gym membership and contracted with a personal trainer a month before I switched from analogs to vaping. At first I could barely stay on the treadmill at a very low speed and no incline for more than five minutes. About 2 - 3 weeks into vaping I got up to nearly half an hour at the highest incline without feeling like I was going to pass out from lack of lung power at a much faster speed. I don't have to stop at the top of the stairs anymore to try to catch my breath. In the past I sounded like I'd run a mile I was so winded. So yes, my lungs like me a lot better these days, but that's just my experience and I started vaping in May of this year. Your mileage may vary. Good luck with your fitness test!
  7. When I use the tiny stealth adapters I generally have a hard time getting them off the atomizer. When they get stuck I use a small piece of rubber shelf liner to help get a good grip on them. Just cut a small square off and it works great for me. http://www.amazon.com/Grip-Shelf-Drawer-Liner-Black/dp/B000KFSOFI
  8. Hey, no problem. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong with them. Found some thread covers and they're on the way so that should be taken care of soon.

    Ec Blend

I really appreciate your rec, Rixter!
  10. PG is propylene glycol, it carries the flavors better and is much thinner than VG (vegetable glycerin). More VG = more vapor, thicker liquid. Many of the e-liquid vendors (but not all) give you a choice of PG/VG ratio. Personally, I'd recommend a lower resistance atomizer (1.5, 1.8 or 2.0 ohm) and start with a 50/50 ratio of PG/VG liquid. I love the Boge brand of atomizer at 2.0 ohm and either a 50/50 or 60 PG/40 VG e-juice if I'm wanting a lot of vapor. Also, the lower the nic level, the lower the throat hit and more flavor. On one site I saw that they listed 24 mg of nicotine is like a pack of full flavor cigarettes (like a pack of Marlboro reds). 12 mg = lights and 6 mg = ultra lights. I use those numbers loosely but it's a good guideline. Most sites that give you a choice will list the ratio as 60 PG/40 VG or 40 VG/60 PG. If you take a look at the sticky posts in the noobie section of this forum, there's a lot of information there. Also, if you go on the EC Blends site and look at their FAQs, you'll find more information than you could ever want. Good luck!
  11. Dayvape, is the 901 drip shields not supposed to cover the eGo battery threads? I've bought several 901 drip shields and while they go over the atomizer just fine, they sit on top of the threads and looks...unfinished. The drip shields that say they are specifically made for eGo batteries cover the threads and look better.
  12. http://www.empiremods.com/product_p/emegodrip.htm The link above is to the drip shields that are made especially for the eGo type of batteries. So is the link below: http://www.empiremods.com/product_p/egodc.htm The others will...work with an eGo battery but they don't cover the threads like the two links I've posted here. I have several of both types and love them! 510 drip tips (not the 306s) will work with the 510 threaded atomizers. This link: and the comments give information about direct dripping. It's what helped me to get hooked. This one here: talks about the drip shields and what NOT to buy for an eGo battery. Personally, I can't imagine not using a drip shield. It keeps things from getting messy and is very forgiving of people like me who constantly over-drip.
  13. Bill45005, have you read this forum and the various threads in it? If you did, you would know that no veteran vapor on this forum would ever recommend a rebuildable cartomizer to a noobie. That's way too advanced for someone just starting out. When I first got onto Vapor Talk I found a wealth of information given to me from the veteran vapors you so carelessly criticized. They were very careful to give me, a noob of just a few months' vaping experience, a lot of easy to understand instructions, sound recommendations to reputable vendors, and the support I needed to stay off analogs. Whenever I had questions, they answered them in such detail that even I could understand the concepts. Many times I had to ask a lot of questions but they never once lost patience with me and also gave me information with caveats that some things might be above my experience at the moment. Please take a few hours and read through the new vapors threads. Also, the help it broke and general e-cigarette discussion threads. Then, after you do that, feel free to criticize the veterans of this forum.
  14. Seriously, with a 900 mAh device you should be getting much longer vaping time. My 900 mAh Vision Spinner lasts easily 6 - 8 hours of constant chain vaping. http://www.theveteranvaper.com/joye-ego-c-twist-1000mah-battery-matte-black/ I have one of these and it lasts the whole day and then some. Brian, the owner of this store, gives excellent customer service and is very knowledgeable about all of his products.
  15. Welcome and congrats on switching! Like Dayvape said, there are a lot of knowledgeable people here to answer any question you might have! Also, I'd recommend checking out the posts in e-liquid reviews and general supplier reviews.
  16. Even chain vaping on my eGo 650s I still get a little more than three hours of charge. My 650s are also pass throughs so I can just plug it in and continue to vape while it's charging. You say you don't get enough vapor. What VG content are you using in your e-juice? Higher VG means more vapor without having to hit it so often. At 50 VG/50 PG, that puts a thick cloud of vapor around my head...
  17. Others with more experience than I possess will most likely chime in with advice about your other questions. I just wanted to ask...in your e-liquid, do you know what the ratio of PG/VG it is? The higher VG (vegetable glycerin) that is in the e-liquid, the more vapor it will produce. Also, I suspect the 3.0 ohm atomizer might hinder the vapor production but I'm not too sure about that. If it is the higher ohm atty, you might want to go to a lower resistance like a 2.0 or 1.5 ohm. On my variable voltage eGo batteries I find myself swimming in vapor at a lower voltage (3.3 or 3.7) if I'm vaping a 50 PG/50 VG ratio. Welcome to Vapor Talk!
  18. I second the rec for Empire Mods and the universal drip tip. Not only does this funny looking over-long drip tip keep you from getting juice in your mouth, it also helps to cool the vapor a bit. I don't care for warm vapor, especially when I'm chain vaping using the direct drip method.

    Ec Blend

My first introduction to EC Blend's site was from Rixter. He raved about the chocolate malt flavor from this vendor. Even though I have an allergy to chocolate (yes, I know. It's a terrible thing), I decided to give it a try to see if I could vape it. My first order was for a 15 ml bottle of chocolate malt and the same of vanilla malt (6 mg nic, 50 PG/50 VG, extra flavor). They arrived very quickly and I tried the vanilla right away. It was very good, but after letting it steep for a week or so (as recommended on the flier sent with the liquids), it was even better! The chocolate malt was tried very carefully as I didn't know if it would produce a reaction. What a wonderful surprise to find I could vape this!!! Since then I've been ordering all kinds of different flavors...in all nearly three dozen different flavors. Nearly all of them in the 5 ml bottles to see what I liked. There have been only two flavors that didn't taste good to me but all flavors, no matter who the vendor, is very subjective. When I find a flavor I like I order bigger bottles. Pineapple and Dragon's Tear were ordered in 30 ml bottles. Did I mention that EC Blends ships their e-liquids packed inside TWO sealed plastic bags? Good thing, too, because these two separate orders did indeed leak. Not much but just enough to smear the labels. So I emailed them to ask for replacement labels. I keep empty glass bottles with drippers around so it was easy to transfer the liquid. I just wanted the original labels to put on them for reference. They replied that they were aware of the problem with the bottles, changed the types of lids they were using and were sending replacements. Cool. Not only new labels but new bottles to boot! Imagine my surprise when the replacement bottles came filled with e-juice! Now that's great customer service. Their website is full of really good, useful information. They believe in transparency in their business model so you know what they use. I really like that you can also request custom blends at no extra charge. There's a lot of different options you can choose in every flavor. Sometimes it can be a little overwhelming, but on the whole, it's a very nice touch. Their prices are comparable to other vendors, more often on the low side. The choices of flavors is amazing! They even have roast beef, pizza, butter, pepper, Worchestershire sauce and a variety of other...unusual...flavors. I haven't been brave enough to try those yet. Maybe someday. All in all, I can't recommend their site enough. There's oodles of information about nearly everything e-liquid related on their site and their customer service is just amazing. If you decide to try them out, I'd love to hear your experiences.
  20. Rixter recommended Boge brand atomizers to me for direct dripping and I've been stuck on them ever since. They consistently just...work. Some of the other atties I've tried are more a hit or miss, for me anyway.
  21. Sorry, I haven't tried them yet. Although I've tried many different vendors I always seem to come back to Sweet-Vapes.com or EC Blends. More the EC Blends in the past few months. Out of easily over two dozen different flavors from EC Blends I think there's only two that I didn't care for. Their customer service is about the best there is that I've experienced from e-liquid vendors to date.
  22. That these little things don't hold much liquid is one of the perks. I never would've thought I'd feel this way, it's always been more about how much juice a clearomizer will hold so I don't have to keep refilling but...
  23. Was your box wrapped up like a mummy?
  24. Welcome to VT, Deckyon! Just by reading the posts here I've learned so much, I'm sure you'll do the same.
