Teflon Drip Tips - Liquid Splash Protection
Tam replied to Rixter's topic in Share the Latest Vaping Products
As many times as I've gotten juice in my mouth I, too, prefer to just remove the drip tip and drip directly into the atomizer. Especially using the long universal drip tip, it's easy to take off the tip to drip... -
Just a thought but the battery might not be getting a solid connection to your Vivi Nova. If you look at the bottom of the tank where it connects to the battery you'll see a small round thing. Using a flat head screw driver (one of those that work with the screws on eye glasses are great), very slowly and carefully push up just a little at a time while rotating the tank so you do it evenly. You can also do this with the round battery connector inside the battery. That might help? Good luck!

The liquid inside the atomizer will leak out of the bottom ventilation holes, it's a very small amount unless you over drip. That's why you'll want to get a drip shield. You don't have to have one but if you don't, you'll have to wipe the bottom portion of the atomizer every now and then or the juice will start to accumulate and then eventually ooze down the battery, your fingers... Not totally necessary but I like to rinse the drip shield in warm water periodically to rinse off the juice it caught and then allow it air dry. That's my first foray into direct dripping. As you can see I ask a LOT of questions. The folks here were wonderfully patient with me. lol This next link is about drip shields: I think you'll find some helpful information in the comments.

You're very welcome, Ninjabat. I got a lot of help when I first tried dripping. It's only right that I help others now that I can. The drip shields are a must if you don't want to constantly have to wipe the juice that oozes out of the atomizer while dripping. It looks like the Empire drip shields are out of stock at the moment. http://www.empiremods.com/product_p/emegodrip.htm These drip shield cones are finally back in all colors. I prefer these because they have extra air holes compared to the two in the ones in the first link. http://www.empiremods.com/product_p/egodc.htm The draw is much lighter using these -- or so I've found anyway. YMMV. When you get the drip shield, don't worry if you have a hard time getting them to snap into place all the way down. Sometimes they do that. Just take it off and put it on again. It may take a little bit of strength to get it all the way down over the threads but it will go. I sometimes put a little juice onto the O-rings inside to lube the way the first few times. Yes, that's my Maltese female, Tenacity. Teni for short. She's my fuzzy kid...who needs a bath and haircut in the worst way right now.

Why wouldn't you be able to drip with this? All the holes are there...as a matter of fact there are more holes in this than an average drip tip. -
Let me see.... Before attaching the atomizer to the battery take a paper towel or tissue and hold it very loosely to the end that will be screwed onto the battery. Then blow through the top to blow out anything there. Do this several times, you don't have to worry about being too gentle here. Another thing is to remember this move when you flood the thing by putting too much juice in that it gurgles and won't really give up any vapor. Blow it out and start with a couple of drips. I'm a terrible dripper and used to consistently flood my atomizer for a good long while when I started. The first time you need to drip in four to six drops of liquid. I like to let it sit for 10 - 15 seconds to absorb the first time. Then vape. You'll know when you've run out of juice when you get a really harsh throat hit that tastes like chemical or something that's definitely NOT your e-liquid. Have you gotten a drip shield? I believe those make the direct dripping experience so much better. When I first started I had an eGo cone. Those were okay except for the tight draw due to no air holes. You can get the eGo drip shields at Empire Mods. There are only two styles that have eGo in the name of the drip shields. These will cover the threads of your battery. The other 510 compatibles will also work but the threads will be visible unless you get a separate thread cover or don't care about it. Good luck!

The Nanos are still kicking butt and taking names but my true love is direct dripping. There's a bit of a learning curve to it but it's sooooo worth it when you get the hang of it. The flavor of the e-liquid just...POPS in comparison to any cartomizers, clearomizers or tanks. I even drip and drive. Well, I only drip when I'm stopped at a light and can do so safely.
-
It was...okay. Not great for me. I prefer the 2.0 ohm Boge atomizer on either my eGo Twist or Vision Spinner variable voltage batteries.
-
How did you fill these? Did you use the condom method and then let it sit for a while before vaping? I've found that I fill from the bottom and top and let sit for 30 minutes before vaping. I don't get the burnt taste that way.

Looks interesting. Have you tried these yet? -
Feel free to ask lots of questions! Someone will answer. Usually, we give more answer than you'll know what to do with.

Got some Irish Cream from my favorite vendor and it tasted like a soured dish rag no matter how long I let it steep. All the other flavors (and I have way too many) from them are wonderful so far. Good luck trying out all the different flavors! That's half the fun of vaping...
-
So far I've found Boge atomizers and cartomizers to be the most consistent. Even so, I've still run into the occasional dud. It's all part and parcel of this vaping game.

Okay, what is that? Is that a flashlight on the end of the battery?

Ego V Pass through Revolution II 1200mAh
Tam replied to Rixter's topic in Share the Latest Vaping Products
This past two months with as unpredictable as my days have been I've just taken to carrying six batteries with me at all times so I can switch them out when one dies. That's probably why my purse weighs so much! Yeah, I can definitely see benefits to carrying only one or two batteries but knowing how much of a charge is left in the main. -
Have fun but stay safe, Mike! You know, living here in Colorado you would think we'd get more snow than the teasers we've gotten so far this winter.

Just got an extra charger and AC adapter from The Veteran Vaper. Jeff? If you're reading this I just wanted you to know that Brian added a handwritten note on my invoice. A red, purple, blue and grey eGo drip shields from Empire Mods. Keith added two LED light/key chains for free. From EC Blend: 5 ml bottles, 50 PG/50 VG, 6 mg nicotine Caramel Apple Dragon's Brew Fluffy Spun Sugar Roast Beef with a flavor shot of Worchestershire Sauce Vanilla Gorilla 15 ml, 50/50, 6 mg nic - Vanilla Cupcake 50 ml, 60 PG/40 VG, 6 mg nic - Strawberry Shortcake I finally took the plunge and ordered the small sampler bottle of the roast beef with Worchestershire sauce but I'm still afraid to try it. LOL.

Congrats! Here's to many more months and happy vaping! I still have five packs of unopened Marlboro Lights in my fridge as a reminder of how much I love vaping instead. Lol.

You can't get better customer service than The Veteran Vaper. You've done your homework well. The 1100 might be a bit on the long side if you plan to put it into a pocket, especially once you've put the Vivi Nova on it. Just sayin'. My 1100 with the Vivi Nova MINI measures out at 7.25 inches. If the regular Vivi Nova is a little taller and I don't know if it is or not, it could go about 7.5 inches. My 900 mAh Vision Spinner measures at 4.25 inches. With the Vivi Nova mini it would be around 7 inches. With the eGo 650 and the Vivi Nova mini it's 6 inches total. Whatever you decide to get, you'll love dealing with Brian at the Veteran Vaper. I just got a package from him today. You may see some drama once I tell Jeffb that I got a handwritten note from Brian in my package though! People on this forum are wonderful and very helpful too. All perversions (virtual and otherwise) aside. Welcome!

Ego V Pass through Revolution II 1200mAh

My only gripe about the eGo twist was that I could never see what voltage I was at without a bright light and magnifying glass. With this that problem is solved. Everything else on the twist just works so well. Rixter, how much of a change/benefit is it to be able to see how much time you have left compared to other batteries where you don't? -
And having the last post of mine above be the 500th post I've made here is so appropriate.
-
Congratulations on your first year. May you have many, many more!

Ha! I'm verifiable without making over 20 posts...anywhere! Sorry. Off topic.

Oh for crying out loud, Rixter. You just had to go and post this, didn't you. *sighs* What did I do to tick you off, huh? -
Just got ten Boge 2.0 ohm atomizers from VapeLite and 16 purple Vision Nanos from AltSmoke. Unfortunately the first Nano I tried from this batch was a dud. Still, at $2.00 a pop, it's not a big loss.
