From your picture it looks like en eGo battery -- 650 mAh from the length and I agree with mse12. That looks to be a T2 changeable coil long wick. If we're right, then you've got yourself a good setup. On the T2 I've found that sometimes you get a bad atomizer (the thing you change inside the tank once you unscrew the tip and take it off), although I'm unfamiliar with the long wick version. That might be the problem? If you have extra atomizers/wicks you might try changing that out. Tip a little to thoroughly wet the wicks and let it sit for a few minutes so that the liquid soaks through before vaping. When I've gotten in a hurry and started vaping right after changing the atomizer -- it has given me a burned taste that didn't go away until I changed to a new atomizer. Once it's burned...it's toast.

Hmmmm. Sounds like you might be ready to try direct dripping.

My review for the Blu Magnificent Menthol Disposable.

For me the KISS method works best (Keep It Simple, Stupid). That's why I stick with the eGo batts. The Vision Spinner and eGo Twist is about as fancy as I want to get -- for now. -

How funny! A couple of days ago when I was in a convenience store I saw they had Blu brands and wondered how they stack up to eGos... -
Tam's Review of EC Blend's Roast Beef with Worchestershire Sauce
Tam replied to Tam's topic in e Liquid Reviews
You know, McQuinn, if you're feeling that adventurous PM me your address and I'll be happy to send it your way. Better than to throw it out because I won't be vaping it ever again anytime soon. Believe me, it took several months for me to get the nerve up to even consider ordering it! Sweet-Vapes.com has a mean black cherry that I like. And I don't even like cherries unless they're fresh. -

*in best Elvis Presley voice* Why thank you. Thank you very much. *fails miserably but falls over laughing anyway* As an aside, when they tell you that the "aroma" is strong? Take their warning seriously. There's snow on the ground outside but I have the window open about two inches, there's a fan blowing the air OUT of the room, it's nearly an hour later and this place still smells of roast beef. Either that or I can't get it out of my nose. *sniffs* -

*shudders in horror* I shouldn't hog all the fun in trying new flavors so I'll let you have the honors, Rixter! -
Okay, I know that everyone has different preferences in e-liquids and there's no such thing as a "bad" or "good" or even a "great" juice for everyone. Taste is subjective and one size/flavor does not fit all. We like what we like, and what I like may taste awful to someone else. That disclaimer out of the way... Ever since I first landed at EC Blends I've been curious about their savory flavors but never had the courage to try one. Until now. Recently I ordered the roast beef with an added splash of Worchestershire sauce. When I got the small sampler bottle (5 ml, 6 mg nic, 50 PG/50 VG), I let it steep for a while like instructed. Tried it today and...I had to go brush my teeth and tongue to get the taste out of my mouth. Bleh. Now don't get me wrong, it really does taste like a decent roast beef with just a splash of Worchestershire sauce. It's that I've just now learned that savory flavors, vaping and me do not mix. Curiosity is no longer in the equation. I will now stick to the sweeter flavors that I've come to love from this vendor. Live and learn.

An extra long drip tip is not "necessary" per se but it's pretty wonderful. One of the little annoyances with just a regular drip tip is that if you draw too hard you can suck up some of the juice into your mouth. That's pretty unpleasant and not at all delicious. I love using a drip tip with the universal because I never have that problem with the longer...length. Keith at Empire Mods is wonderful to work with. His customer service is stellar! Why, thank you for the kind words. I'm just happy to help another vaper get into direct dripping.

The Delrin 306 XL Drip Tip won't fit your 510 LR atomizer, ninjabat. You need a 901/510 drip tip. Get a hold of Keith at Empire Mods and ask that it be changed otherwise you're going to be frustrated when you get your order. If you want the extra long drip tip so you don't get juice in your mouth I'd get the universal drip tip and a smaller drip tip like this to put in it. You can use the universal by itself but I prefer something smaller in my mouth. http://www.empiremods.com/product_p/chrryuni.htm http://www.empiremods.com/product_p/driptc.htm

Only if you get really mad at them and they don't behave... And the real answer is...no. You get them, fill them with e-liquid, wait a bit and then enjoy.

My vote goes with mse12 on the Boge LR 2.0 ohm cartomizers! I'm using one now and it's yummy.

Do you think it's the thicker juices that cause the wicking problem, Kit? My chocolate malt seems to be a little hard on the T3s but the cranberry is doing okay so far. Hmmmm

Hey, Uma, when I got the email notification for your comment -- there weren't any asterisks. No assterisks either on the quote until I hit post...

Actually, it kinda is. Many of us have found that we vape (even chain vape) a LOT more than we ever smoked. Most of us go with a low nic level when we vape that much so as to not over do it and get a nicotine overdose...

Discount Vapers has an eGo C Twist 650 mAh in pink at $18.99 http://www.discountvapers.com/ego-twist/ Oops. Not made by JoyTech but I've always gotten quality stuff from Discount Vapers although I haven't bought any batteries there before.

Teflon Drip Tips - Liquid Splash Protection

As many times as I've gotten juice in my mouth I, too, prefer to just remove the drip tip and drip directly into the atomizer. Especially using the long universal drip tip, it's easy to take off the tip to drip... -
Just a thought but the battery might not be getting a solid connection to your Vivi Nova. If you look at the bottom of the tank where it connects to the battery you'll see a small round thing. Using a flat head screw driver (one of those that work with the screws on eye glasses are great), very slowly and carefully push up just a little at a time while rotating the tank so you do it evenly. You can also do this with the round battery connector inside the battery. That might help? Good luck!

The liquid inside the atomizer will leak out of the bottom ventilation holes, it's a very small amount unless you over drip. That's why you'll want to get a drip shield. You don't have to have one but if you don't, you'll have to wipe the bottom portion of the atomizer every now and then or the juice will start to accumulate and then eventually ooze down the battery, your fingers... Not totally necessary but I like to rinse the drip shield in warm water periodically to rinse off the juice it caught and then allow it air dry. That's my first foray into direct dripping. As you can see I ask a LOT of questions. The folks here were wonderfully patient with me. lol This next link is about drip shields: I think you'll find some helpful information in the comments.

You're very welcome, Ninjabat. I got a lot of help when I first tried dripping. It's only right that I help others now that I can. The drip shields are a must if you don't want to constantly have to wipe the juice that oozes out of the atomizer while dripping. It looks like the Empire drip shields are out of stock at the moment. http://www.empiremods.com/product_p/emegodrip.htm These drip shield cones are finally back in all colors. I prefer these because they have extra air holes compared to the two in the ones in the first link. http://www.empiremods.com/product_p/egodc.htm The draw is much lighter using these -- or so I've found anyway. YMMV. When you get the drip shield, don't worry if you have a hard time getting them to snap into place all the way down. Sometimes they do that. Just take it off and put it on again. It may take a little bit of strength to get it all the way down over the threads but it will go. I sometimes put a little juice onto the O-rings inside to lube the way the first few times. Yes, that's my Maltese female, Tenacity. Teni for short. She's my fuzzy kid...who needs a bath and haircut in the worst way right now.

Teflon Drip Tips - Liquid Splash Protection

Why wouldn't you be able to drip with this? All the holes are there...as a matter of fact there are more holes in this than an average drip tip. -
Let me see.... Before attaching the atomizer to the battery take a paper towel or tissue and hold it very loosely to the end that will be screwed onto the battery. Then blow through the top to blow out anything there. Do this several times, you don't have to worry about being too gentle here. Another thing is to remember this move when you flood the thing by putting too much juice in that it gurgles and won't really give up any vapor. Blow it out and start with a couple of drips. I'm a terrible dripper and used to consistently flood my atomizer for a good long while when I started. The first time you need to drip in four to six drops of liquid. I like to let it sit for 10 - 15 seconds to absorb the first time. Then vape. You'll know when you've run out of juice when you get a really harsh throat hit that tastes like chemical or something that's definitely NOT your e-liquid. Have you gotten a drip shield? I believe those make the direct dripping experience so much better. When I first started I had an eGo cone. Those were okay except for the tight draw due to no air holes. You can get the eGo drip shields at Empire Mods. There are only two styles that have eGo in the name of the drip shields. These will cover the threads of your battery. The other 510 compatibles will also work but the threads will be visible unless you get a separate thread cover or don't care about it. Good luck!

The Nanos are still kicking butt and taking names but my true love is direct dripping. There's a bit of a learning curve to it but it's sooooo worth it when you get the hang of it. The flavor of the e-liquid just...POPS in comparison to any cartomizers, clearomizers or tanks. I even drip and drive. Well, I only drip when I'm stopped at a light and can do so safely.
