  1. For the past two weeks or so it's been EC Blend's "Feel Like a Nut" flavor with double extra sweet. This tastes just like Almond Joy, with the extra sweetener added it really tastes the same!
  2. If you'll notice the dates this is a fairly old thread. So many new products have come out since then. As far as many of the members of this forum have attested eGo batteries, on the whole, are good, dependable ones. It's the tanks/clearomizers on top that can get finicky. The T3 and MT3s have been getting a lot of positive reviews. These are "bottom feeders" where the liquid goes through the bottom instead of a wick on top. The Vision Nano is also a bottom feeder that holds only 1 ml of juice. I've had the best of luck with all three. Patience and trial and error is what's needed when you're new to this. Perseverance is also good. Ask around and you'll find that you'll get lots of good advice from the experienced vapers around here. Edited to add: Vapor and throat hit are juice related, not anything to do with the battery or cartomizer/clearomizer that you're using. More VG (vegetable glycerin) = more vapor. More PG (propylene glycol) = more throat hit. If you're new to the VG/PG ration I'd suggest go with 50/50. That gives me a lot of vapor and enough throat hit to satisfy.
  3. Do you know what percentage of PG/VG you're vaping? I'm wary about prefilled carts because I don't know what's really inside them. The dry mouth is easily explainable as vaping will dehydrate you. Drinking LOTS of water/liquids helps with that. If you're vaping less than you were smoking that might have something to do with it too. This is just me but if you want to stay away from analogs I'd go with a better battery (eg. eGo style), and a couple of clearomizers. Those are the easiest to deal with for someone new to vaping. You take off the top mouthpiece, tip to the side just a little, fill with juice, wait a few minutes and then vape. I'd suggest something like either a T2, Vision Stardust or a Vision Nano as those might be the easiest to start out with. After you get used to those then we can talk T3, MT3 or Vivi Nova, Vivi Nova mini...
  4. I wonder if you could use regular atomizers and direct drip it? Also, does it have 510 threading...?
  5. No clue if you'd wind up with leaking or if it would work at all. I try to keep the same brand names together so that's not a problem. Since Tobac is a knock-off of the Kangor product there could be some minute differences to the fit.
  6. Tobacs brand is...okay but not as good as Kangor. Originally I bought a box of five Tobacs and wound up giving the rest away because their performance was not up to the Kangor quality that I was used to. YMMV. I'd stay with the Kangor brand although you also might want to read this story first. http://tasteyourjuice.com/wordpress/2013/01/09/will-the-real-kanger-t3-please-stand-up/
  7. 2 each of lilac and blue: Swirl Ice CE4 mouth piece from GotVapes These are essentially just color versions of replacement mouth pieces for the CE4 (Vision Stardust). They're much prettier now and I might need to get a few more of their colors. It's so much more fun than just the normal black ones.
  8. Good luck! Let us know if this helped with the gurgling or not?
  9. From my experience I have yet to find one place that sells everything I need/want. I usually get my juice from one place, hardware from another.
  10. Hmmm. Doesn't sound like it would be. It could be the cart itself, something in the filler material, the PG/VG mixture, or all or none of the above. Trial and error seems to be the best thing to see what's causing your headaches. It could also possibly be symptoms of getting off all the carcinogens from traditional analogs. From all the things I've read we've all suffered a few weird symptoms when we got away from cigarettes -- at least the first few weeks in anyway.
  11. Remove Vivi Nova from the battery. While holding a tissue or paper towel very loosely at the battery connection end of the VN, blow gently into the mouth piece to remove excess liquid inside the center post. Blot the battery connection end to remove liquid as well as the battery. Replace VN onto battery and vape. You're probably tipping the VN too much when you're trying to wet the wicks and it's making the liquid go into the center post. Try not filling it to the top of the line and watch the liquid when tipping/wetting the wick so only the wick is getting wet. Don't turn the battery completely upside down. Hope that helps and your problem is solved.
  12. Although I'm not a health professional I'd wager a guess that your light headedness could be from too much nicotine. You might want to either vape less or get a lower mg e-liquid. 100% VG is not a good mix with cartomizers prefilled or otherwise because VG generally is too thick to wick properly. Before going 100% VG I'd try the lower nic level first. Some good places to go for this would be EC Blends, Sweet-Vapes.com or The Vapor Room. They all make their own juices. The first two sites I've recommended allow you to make quite a few customizations to your juice. As for a good kit, head over to The Veteran Vaper's site. Brian has several great kits for beginners, competitive prices and great customer service. http://www.theveteranvaper.com/joye-ego-kit-matte-black/ I would also pick up a couple of clearomizers like the Vision Stardust (CE4) http://www.theveteranvaper.com/vision-ego-clearomizer-ce4-long-wick/ or the Vision Vivi Nova Mini http://www.theveteranvaper.com/vision-vivi-nova-mini-tank-2-0ml-long-wick/ I've found these to be better than a cartomizer with less fuss because you don't have to keep filling as often. Hope some of this helps.
  13. Congrats on one month, that's a great accomplishment!
  14. For the Vision Nanos I got mine (the 2nd order) from Altsmoke. They have a "buy 5 for $2.49" and their shipping is decent. http://altsmoke.com/review/product/list/id/1641/category/12/ The Veteran Vaper, GotVapes.com, VapeLite, Discount Vapers are all places where I got good prices, good product and great customer service. The majority of my juices I now get from EC Blends. They have the juices that I like most consistently, of course YMMV. I have tried too many different vendors but the others have been hit and miss for me. Hope that helps. Congrats on getting your buddy off the analogs! ETA: Forgot to add Empire Mods, but you know that already since it was you who recommended that site to me.
  15. Sorry to hear that, but I'll bet you won't be caught off guard anymore...
  16. Back ups. And back ups of back ups. You can never have too many!
  17. 12 more Boge 2.0 ohm atomizers from Vapelite. Um...in case anyone else wanted some...they're now out of these for a bit...
  18. The higher the mAh (milliAmp hours), the longer your battery's charge will last. I've got two Vision Spinners at 900 mAh and one at 1300 mAh. The 900s look exactly like the eGo batteries I have although the Visions are a very pretty purple. The 1300, instead of being super long like the eGo 1000 or 1100, it's about as tall as the 900s but a little thicker around. Now that I've tried the 1300 I'm eager to get more just for the long battery life. Yes, everything I have for my eGo fits just the same on the Spinners. They're almost exactly alike except you can see the numbers on the bottom better. http://www.gotvapes.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1192&zenid=0947d4c03f545b503ca7054574319c3d
  19. Congrats! One more tip now that you're a direct dripper...if you're sampling new flavors it's best to use one atomizer with like flavors that compliment each other as you'll get a little bit of the old flavor mixed with the new the first few draws. I like to keep the bakery stuff with one, fruit flavors with another... As you delve more deeply in direct dripping you'll find what works best for you.
  20. Nope. Shouldn't be a problem at all. I've found that 4.0 is my sweet spot for quite a few of my favorite juices. Now that you've tried a Twist, you really need to try the Vision Spinner. That's identical to the Twist except you can actually see the numbers much easier. Also, the Spinner goes up to 1300 mAh.
  21. Okay, they really need to stop coming up with so many cool toys now! This one as well as a couple of others I saw from today's Vapelite newsletter all seem to have the easy to replace outer wicks. It was a real trial for me not to click "add to cart" today.
  22. When the draw becomes too tight and you don't get any vapor/hit from it is a good indication. Usually, when it starts going out you'll notice that it's not working as well as it did before. Some will just quit while others will slowly dwindle in performance. As for what I've experienced, most of mine lasts several weeks to a month or more depending (if it's not a dud). Sorry, I know that's not much help but it depends on the part itself. Asking questions is good. That's how we learn.
  23. You know...if you don't want to jump in at the deep end of DIY, like Rixter suggested above, try EC Blends. They allow so much customization of their juices that it could ease you into it without having to buy all the supplies a la carte. Their $2.50 for 5 ml is very reasonable for trying new flavors and their shipping is very low.
  24. Atomizer + drip shield + drip tip + favorite juice flavor = direct dripping at its best.
  25. From your picture it looks like en eGo battery -- 650 mAh from the length and I agree with mse12. That looks to be a T2 changeable coil long wick. If we're right, then you've got yourself a good setup. On the T2 I've found that sometimes you get a bad atomizer (the thing you change inside the tank once you unscrew the tip and take it off), although I'm unfamiliar with the long wick version. That might be the problem? If you have extra atomizers/wicks you might try changing that out. Tip a little to thoroughly wet the wicks and let it sit for a few minutes so that the liquid soaks through before vaping. When I've gotten in a hurry and started vaping right after changing the atomizer -- it has given me a burned taste that didn't go away until I changed to a new atomizer. Once it's burned...it's toast.
