My review for the Blu Magnificent Menthol Disposable.
Tam replied to willmon22's topic in e Cigarette Reviews
Do you mean the 900 mAh? I have five or six 650 mAh pass throughs that I loved before getting my first 900 mAh Spinner. The 900 keeps me from having to charge so often yet it's still thin and easy to take with me everywhere. The 1300 keeps its charge for longer but that also means it takes longer to recharge. It's wider around, heavier, and for some reason I can't seem to find my sweet spot like I can with my 900s even if I set them both at 4.0 volts. That might just be this 1300, it could be me, or all of the above. Just partial to the 900 as it hits all the right buttons with me on all kinds of different levels. -

As much as I love not having to charge as often with my Spinner 1300, I'm really partial to the Spinner 900 mAh. Now, I'm just waiting for them to get back in stock so I can order a few different colors. You'll have to tell all about how you like your new Twist and Spinner once they come in and you get a chance to play with them a bit, Lyrical. -
It's because of Kitsune that I got the courage to try dripping. She was a great source of information and encouragement.
-
In a brand new atty I use around six drops then about three to four drops after that. I'm a terrible over-dripper, which is why the drip shields are so wonderful. They're very forgiving that way.
-
Yeah, that's pretty much been my reaction to them too. Did you by chance also get a drip shield to go with the atomizer?
-
Not only that, but if all of our vaping supplies could be purchased from a brick and mortar store like analogs I doubt we'd all be storing our back ups of back ups.
-
My arm's too short to reach the button and I don't play well with others so having someone else push the button was out of the question.
-
Welcome! Looks like you made some very good choices, in my opinion anyway. I love the Vision Spinners and Kangor makes some really good clearomizers. I hope you like your choices in juice. ECBlend has been very good for me.

dct tank is leaking and gurgling. how do you fix that
Tam replied to ashleyylynn's topic in New Vapers Forum
Unscrew the tank off your battery. Place a tissue lightly at the bottom of the tank and blow gently into the mouthpiece to remove excess liquid in the center post. Blot. Repeat. Put the tank back on and it should be fine. -
For some odd reason the Spinner blinks like that when it's almost fully charged. I usually go by the light on the charger (a/c adapter). When it goes a solid green then I know it's fully charged.
-
Paranoia.
-
Yes, the light stays on while charging. Also, another nice thing about the Spinner vs. Twist is that when you get the 15 flashes from the button telling you your battery's dead? On the Spinner you can click it five times to turn it off. On the Twist...it's deader than a doornail and won't let you turn it off to charge...

When you get the drip shields I'd be interested to hear your thoughts and if you like them or not. New stuff seems to be coming out every day. The members of VT help to keep up with it all. So far I haven't decided if that's a good thing or not. lol

Here's an update on this fundraiser. I received a reply to my email from Mt. Baker Vaper's owner, James Thompson, and he said, "Since that fundraiser was over we have been donating to other breast cancer foundations now. It is based on net profit per sale."
-
Nope. Somehow it loses something without the cool lights and sound effects.

Aaahhh, when you chain vape with those it seems like the wicks can't absorb the liquid quickly enough. At least that's been my experience. I'd suggest you try a bottom feeder like the Vision Nano, T3 or MT3. Those seem to eliminate the dry hits because the wick is on the bottom and is always saturated.
-
Sorry that I kept missing the mark! I should step away from the keyboard while I'm behind. Lol. I do agree that once you try the Spinners you'll be very happy with them. I do have a question about your menthol comment. Why do you say that clearos don't like menthol? Just curious.

Starter Kits vs "Custom" Set Ups for a New User
Tam replied to Nawzlew's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Yes, just empty the tank of all old juice (don't put it back into the bottle of the new juice as that will contaminate it), rinse and I'd let the wick dry overnight or blot well. The wick may retain a little bit of the old flavor, but if it's compatible with the new it won't be unpleasant and shouldn't last very long. I've dry burned a few coils but find that you risk getting a burned flavor with the new juice. It doesn't always happen but it does on occasion as per my experience. Normal wear and tear usually doesn't require the gunk to be burned off as long as you're not trying to use a juice that's super high in VG. -
The Spinners are not a "mod" type of battery so the 18650 batteries wouldn't be compatible, if I understand what you're saying correctly. Others here who are more experienced with various mods will be able to give you more information on what other brands would take that type of battery.

1) if I were to get a vv that would fit the batts and charger that I have from the Ego mod, what would anyone recommend? The charger and all of my clearomizers, atomizers, etc. for my eGo 650 pass throughs all work for the Vision Spinners, which are variable voltage. The clearomizers include the Kangor T2, T3, MT3, Vision Nano, Vision Stardust, Vivi Nova Mini as well as 510 cartomizers and atomizers. 2) what is the difference between the ego cone vs a drip shield? Would that, maybe, make a difference in how tight the draw is? (I'm thinking I could maybe salvage the ego mod if I found the right set up for it.) An eGo cone doesn't have the O-rings inside to keep it from leaking. It also lacks the air holes (anywhere from two to four) to prevent a hard draw. If you're going to get a drip shield for your eGo batteries I highly recommend Empire Mods and the ones that say "eGo" in the name/description. Although there are many that will "fit", only the ones with "eGo" in the name cover the battery threads so they don't show.

The lovely thing about drip shields is that it's very forgiving to people who consistently over drip like I do. I can put six drops in and, although it gurgles a little, it vapes for more than just a few hits. When it seems to be going dry I just suck without pushing on the button to draw the excess liquid back into the atomizer so I can continue for several more hits before dripping again. You'll love shopping with Brian and The Veteran Vaper. Anything you need, you just contact him and he's there.

Oops. No. Sorry! I got this thread confused with the direct dripping one. These are direct dripping atomizers. Brian has the 1.8 ohm Vivi Nova coil here: http://www.theveteranvaper.com/vision-vivi-nova-long-wick-replacement-coil/ The Veteran Vaper store is excellent and the customer service is even better! Sorry about the mix up but are you sure you don't want to try direct dripping? You can actually change flavors easier this way.

Okay, let's see if I can do this right. This first pic is (from left to right), Vision Spinner 1300 mAh with Empire Mod drip shield, universal drip tip with a regular drip tip on top. The next two are both Spinners of the 900 mAh and same set up. The blue one is an eGo 650 pass through and same set up. The black drip shield is a new addition from Empire Mods that I just got. This next pic is without the drip shields or drip tips And this one has two drip tips The second from the left's atomizer is a 1.8 ohm 510 atomizer that I got from my local brick and mortar store. All the other atomizers are the Boge 2.0 ohm from Vapelite. As you can see I'm a little partial to the Vision Spinners. I do have a 1100 Twist that I use on the go but prefer the Spinners for direct dripping because I can actually see what volt I'm at without having to go to extreme measures. Oh. And the first two from the left I'm using ECBlend's Feels Like a Nut flavor alternating with their Chocolate Malt, Vanilla Malt and/or Dulce de Leche. The Spinner with the blue drip tip is the blueberry flavor alternating with Strawberry Shortcake. The blue eGo battery is the tropical punch alternating with Dragon's Blood.

I don't see why not. Or you can also get my favorites, the Boge 2.0 ohm atomizer here: http://vapelite.info/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=22_47&products_id=62 That's a bit closer to the 1.8 ohm.
