Lapsing to Analogs When You Can't Charge Your Battery
Tam replied to MistaVapa's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Happy birthday! And what a great gift to yourself: an extra battery. Don't forget to get an extra charger sometime soon. People sometimes think those are infallable but they can also stop working. Nothing sucks worse than to have a handful of dead batteries with no working charger. -
Lapsing to Analogs When You Can't Charge Your Battery
Tam replied to MistaVapa's topic in General Vaping Discussion
This is why it's important to have back-ups. And back-ups for the back-ups. Don't beat yourself up for the analogs, just get back in the saddle and go for it again. It's a good experience that now you know how the analogs feel and what they do to your lungs so you'll be more motivated to get off them for good. -
What is popular these days for the new users?
Tam replied to mse12's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Just a few days ago I tried the VapeOnly Mini BCC and I'm very impressed. It's super simple yet gives off an impressive performance with the least amount of flavor muting I've seen in...probably forever. Good luck! I hope he can get converted. -
Yes, you should always let go of the button as soon as you quit taking each drag.
-
On some mods you can.

Fishermen here? How about a Pic thread?

You exaggerate, Troy. Colorado City's up in the mountains so it's much cooler there, I think it's only going to be something like 103 or 104 today. -
How about EC Blends? They have so many different kinds of flavors. You might like their dragon series. The Dragon's Blood and Dragon's Tear are pretty subtle, yet complex and pretty tasty.

Seriously, I would love a whole CD filled with music like that, put it on repeat and I'd be in heaven.... Chris, you don't happen to also play guitar, do you?

The Veteran Vaper is part of the VT Marketplace...
-
I think that one's my favorite.
-
Ha! You just described a T2.
-
Aw, man! Now you've gone and made me all hungry...and I just finished eating dinner, darn it!
-
You really can't go wrong buying from Brian at The Veteran Vaper. He's probably my favorite vendor hands down, the very BEST customer service I've encountered in a long while. The T2s are wonderful, even after trying a bit of everything that comes out (almost), I still go back to the T2 if I'm not direct dripping.

Hey, Troy, come on down south - - there's a little grocery store in Colorado City, it's on the main "strip" through town, you can't miss it - - they have the very BEST catfish at their deli. They cook it fresh when you order. -
In my opinion? It might be what's in the liquid and how they extracted that flavor, what it is that's in the thing you're allergic to (if that's part of the flavoring that got extracted and used in the juice), but I'm not a medical professional so please take my next comment as my personal experience only and not a general statement of fact. When I turned 18 I developed an allergy to chocolate, it closes my throat and I have a hard time breathing. Very carefully, I tried some chocolate e-liquids and have found some I can vape. Your mileage may vary. I'd be very careful if you're going to try it, keep an epi pen close at hand...

When trying out a new vendor I only buy one or two things to see if 1.) the products are as they're described and actually work and 2.) they have good/decent customer service. Now that I've been around a bit I know who to buy from and who to avoid. I'm really liking Vapor Talk's market where you can buy things from different vendors but they're all in one place. To paraphrase what bcartervol98 said, if it sounds too good to be true... I'd rather spend a little more and get a quality product from a known and tried vendor. Sorry you had such a bad experience with this one.

Um...sort of. There's a tiny bit of wick inside the bridgeless atomizer, do you remove that, too?
-
Thanks, Jeff. And good morning to you!
-
The places that I buy from all use either food grade flavoring that's already out there in things we eat or extract the flavors themselves. If she's concerned she might want to try something from Virgin Vapor. Link is here to their FAQ page where they tell you what's in their juice: http://www.virginvapor.com/pages/frequently-asked-questions

Not always but there are some times when I know what I'm talking about. Those are when should be listened to. Other times? Maybe not so much. I always thought eGo was a brand name that's also used as a way to describe the thread type. I could be wrong.... Any long time veteran vapers want to chime in on this?

I've removed bridges and wicks before, Mike. And I did it successfully, much to my surprise. While I see the advantages of removing the bridge, I'm very curious what the difference would be in removing the wicks. *runs to get tweezers to experiment on wick removal*
-
Oops! Thanks, Kitsune, for the correction. I thought about the 901 but thought I got it right. :-P Hey, I have a question. Why remove the wick fibers in the atty?
-
Some atomizers have bridges, some of them are wider than others while some don't have bridges at all (bridgeless). I think it's just a matter of personal preference. I started out with Joytech 510 1.8 ohm atomizers. You can get those from the Vapor Talk Market here at a very reasonable price. RBA stands for ReBuildable Atomizers, these are ones you can rebuild. Not something I'd recommend to a new vapor, however. Maybe later when you're more used to direct dripping? When you get the atomizer, you'll notice an oily liquid inside the package/bag it comes in. Take the atty out, wipe it down, blow into the opening (make sure you put a tissue lightly over the end that screws into the battery), and you'll get some liquid out. I always do this to get the liquid out -- I think it's just VG to keep things from drying out too much -- and then I put some tissue into the atty for a while so it soaks up the rest. Then, once that's done I put it on the battery, and the first time out you'll need between four and six drops of juice, wait 30 seconds for it to prime and vape. You'll get around four draws the first time around before you need more liquid. You'll taste a metallic, icky flavor that's the indicator you need more juice. Then, put in about 2 - 3 more drops and vape. Once I get past the first time, I usually only use two drops at a time after. http://vaportalk.com/marketplace/joye-510-atomizer-clone.html There. I'd go with the regular resistence, that's usually around 2.0 - 2.2 ohm if I remember correctly. The 1.5 ohm runs much hotter.

Just came in the mail: 29 bridgeless Smoktech 2.0 atomizers from Mt. Baker Vapor. They threw in a bottle of Johnny Chimpo e-liquid but I have no idea what flavor that is -- it's not listed on their website. Waiting on an order from The Veteran Vapor right now. It should be here soon-ish.

All atomizers are "compatible" with direct dripping, but not all atomizers are compatible with your battery. You can get adapters for them, though. That said, if you're using an eGo type of battery or Vision Spinners, the 510 (not the 510-T because that's different from what you're wanting), 901s and 306s will fit without having to get an adapter. Since you're just starting out I would recommend you go with a 510 atty. You can change flavors but I would also suggest that you go with one type of flavor per atomizer. Fruit flavors in one, bakery flavors in another, stronger flavors like coffee in still another different atty. Each flavor will linger for a while even after you put a different flavor in, which is why, although you can change flavors much easier than when using a clearomizer, you don't want to taste something like coffee, blueberry cheese cake, menthol tobacco, peanut butter all at the same time...or maybe you might like it.
