Your Twist should be more than good with a decent clearomizer, cartomizer, tank, or atomizer. The popular ones I see people talking about on Vapor Talk are the CE4, Kangor T2 (aka eGo 2.4 ml CC changeable coil), MT3, EVOD, and Pro Tank. Then, if you want more vapor, you'll want to increase the VG content of your juice. Be aware that more VG means less throat hit and it could gunk up your clearomizer because the juice is usually thicker. A 50 VG/50 PG or 60 VG/40 PG should be more than fine to swallow you in a cloud of vapor.

If you feel like something's missing that might mean you aren't getting enough nicotine. What is the mg on nic in the juice you're using right now? Also, that maple taste? That *might* be too much VG in your liquid. I'd go with a higher nic -- try 24 mg or so -- and lower the VG ratio, more PG. My favorite juice vendor is EC Blends. They allow you to make all kinds of customizations to your juice. Try the 5 ml bottles at first so you can find what you like. At $2.99, it's a great way to experiment. As you get into vaping more you'll more than likely grow out of wanting something to taste like the analogs you left behind. At least that's what's been reported by quite a few of us.

Which one did you get? Was it the Vision Spinner at 1300 mAh? If so, you might want to go down to a 900 mAh. Those are thinner/smaller around than the 1300, more pen-like but still gives you a nice long charge.

Can't you also use adapters to fit them to a 510 threaded clearomizers?
-
That's what I thought but wanted to make sure. Great way to describe them, Joe. Thanks!

Hey, Uma, what's the difference between an 808 and a 510 thread? Is it the thread diameter or something else?

You're welcome. Always happy to help a new vaper! Sadly, I haven't ventured that far yet other than to customize the bejesus out of the juices I order from EC Blends. Kitsune is the Godess of DIY. If you go to the DIY thread you'll find lots of information as well as recs on where to get the stuff you'll need. -

With your Twist you should be able to dial it down a bit so it's not so harsh for you. Once you get into vaping you'll probably want to try some of the online vendors. If you're not sure about using your credit card with any of the sites just get a prepaid one that you use only for these shopping trips. With your Vivi Nova mini, just keep in mind that the more VG is in the liquid, the thicker it is (usually), and that could gunk up your wick to give you a burning taste and/or harsh vapor. If you wind up buying online there are quite a few places that let you choose how much PG/VG you want. I'd start with 50/50 and go from there. That's thin enough that it won't impede wicking, gives a decent throat hit without being too harsh and loads of vapor. -

Good choice. I've ordered from Liberty Flights before and they've been a good company for me. I think you'll like this set up that you've ordered. What's the PG/VG ratio of juice you're using? Nicotine percentage? -

http://vaportalk.com/marketplace/adjustable-voltage-en/ Try the above link instead. These vendors are tried and have excellent customer service. All of the batteries you see are variable voltage. With so many different things out there it can make your head spin when you're new. -

In a 1000 mAh battery, the charge will last longer than a 650 mAh so you'll have to charge it less often. I would still strongly recommend a variable voltage instead. The batteries you're considering have only one voltage while variable voltage will allow you to turn it up or down depending on what kind of juice and/or clearomizer you're using. Some juices will taste better at a higher voltage while others taste better at a lower one. Also, the ohms of the coil will make a greater difference at a fixed voltage. Just my two cents. -

Have to disagree with you here, Steve. More vapor would mean more VG. More VG would be less throat hit, smoother vape. More PG would give you more throat hit and less vapor. -

As someone who is new to vaping simplicity is probably the way to go. You can branch out later. I'd suggest a Kangor T2 (aka eGo 2.4 ml CC changeable coil) or a Vivi Nova. The T2 comes with a stock 1.8 ohm coil if I remember correctly. Either a 1.8 or 2.4 ohm coil on the Vivi Nova. I could be off just an ohm or two but it wouldn't matter with a variable voltage device. Juice is an extremely personal thing. What tastes great to one person will be vile to another. My personal favorite site for juice is EC Blends. They have over 400 different flavors and ways to customize each one in quite a few different ways. Their prices are low and customer service excellent. Others on this forum love Mt. Baker Vaper and Vape Dudes. The Vapor Room and Sweet-Vapes.com (make sure to use the hyphen), are also very popular sites for juices. -

The eGo Twist and the Vision Spinner are nearly identical except the Spinner has numbers that are much easier to read. Just an FYI... -

On my variable voltage Vision Spinner batteries, whenever I have the voltage cranked too high I get a very harsh vape. Dial it down a bit and it smooths out. My advice to you would be to get a device that's specifically made for vaping like an eGo Twist or Vision Spinner. I'd also get a real Vision Stardust V3 or a different clearomizer that's not a knock off with a house brand name slapped on. You can get all of that here at the Vapor Talk Market Place. Brian, owner of The Veteran Vaper, has a presence here with a 1300 mAh Vision Spinner. Add to that a Vivi Nova, Vivi Nova Mini, Kangor T2 (aka eGo 2.4 ml CC changeable coil clearomizer), and you'll be all set. As for juice, keep this in mind: more VG = more vapor, slightly sweeter flavor, less throat hit, thicker juice (too much VG tends to clog the wicks) more PG = better flavor delivery, more throat hit, thinner juice Good luck! There are a lot of good, knowledgeable people here, feel free to ask as many questions as needed. -
Got a reply from Mt. Baker Vapor and they said that Johnny Chimpo is a maple banana. I've been letting it steep and haven't tried it yet. Will try to remember to review it when I do.

Just because Brian's been working so hard to stock Vision Spinners I bought one from The Veteran Vaper through the Vapor Talk Market Place. The black 1300 mAh Spinner came in yesterday along with 5 eGo 2.4 ml CC Long Wick clearomizers. Fabulous customer service as always and fast shipping.

Lapsing to Analogs When You Can't Charge Your Battery
Tam replied to MistaVapa's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Happy birthday! And what a great gift to yourself: an extra battery. Don't forget to get an extra charger sometime soon. People sometimes think those are infallable but they can also stop working. Nothing sucks worse than to have a handful of dead batteries with no working charger. -
Lapsing to Analogs When You Can't Charge Your Battery
Tam replied to MistaVapa's topic in General Vaping Discussion
This is why it's important to have back-ups. And back-ups for the back-ups. Don't beat yourself up for the analogs, just get back in the saddle and go for it again. It's a good experience that now you know how the analogs feel and what they do to your lungs so you'll be more motivated to get off them for good. -
What is popular these days for the new users?
Tam replied to mse12's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Just a few days ago I tried the VapeOnly Mini BCC and I'm very impressed. It's super simple yet gives off an impressive performance with the least amount of flavor muting I've seen in...probably forever. Good luck! I hope he can get converted. -
Yes, you should always let go of the button as soon as you quit taking each drag.

On some mods you can.

Fishermen here? How about a Pic thread?

You exaggerate, Troy. Colorado City's up in the mountains so it's much cooler there, I think it's only going to be something like 103 or 104 today. -
How about EC Blends? They have so many different kinds of flavors. You might like their dragon series. The Dragon's Blood and Dragon's Tear are pretty subtle, yet complex and pretty tasty.

Seriously, I would love a whole CD filled with music like that, put it on repeat and I'd be in heaven.... Chris, you don't happen to also play guitar, do you?
