  1. I know I must be a freak because I made sure to read the rules before posting the first time.
  2. I'm with Kit on this one, Brian, but I do miss seeing you here is all.
  3. Hey, Jeff. Where are the rules for new members? I reread the rules for the forum but didn't see anything there that states the five posts thing. Might want to add that there? Also, don't new members have to post something like 10 things before they can post something in the classifieds? Also might want to add to the general "forum rules" thing so it's right up front. Just a thought...
  4. In my experience, once it steeps a week or two, they're very tasty at the right volts.
  5. That depends on the vendor. EC Blends sends you a whole brochure with that information and then some. It's also on their website if you care to have a read.
  6. Sheepdog, the "airy" hits are all a matter of personal preference. I still like the kind that I had when I smoked a cigarette. If I remember correctly, I didn't like airy hits from different brands there, too. As with all vaping gear and juices, vaping is a very personal thing and one size does not fit all. We all like different things. In my experience, Kangor makes some of the very best clearomizers I've tried to date. They're very consistent and work well. Don't let my personal preference put you off. Plus, the Pro Tank is fairly new so we don't know yet if the company's listening. They have in the past, though. That's why we got T3s and then the MT3s came out fairly quickly afterwards. And we also just got the MT3s just recently so yes, I do believe they're listening to their user-base.
  7. Just got two eGo Air flow controllers in the mail from Vermillion River: http://www.vermillionriverejuice.com/EGO-Air-Flow-Controller_p_176.html They work great to control how much air flow you get in the Pro Tank. Just screw it onto your eGo or Spinner battery, screw on the Pro Tank and then unscrew the controller until you get the air flow you want.
  8. From everything I've read, it's best to stay away from store brands as those seem to be where people run into trouble. There are quite a few eGo knock offs so be aware and wary. If it seems too good to be true.... That said, if you want to buy with confidence that you're getting a quality product, shop with Brian at The Veteran Vaper. Brian's store can also be accessed through Vapor Talk's Market Place right here. Just click on the link/ad above. I'd recommend the variable voltage Vision Spinner myself. Top it off with a Vivi Nova, Vivi Nova Mini, EVOD, MT3s or an eGo 2.4 ml. Changeable coil clearomizer (aka Kanger T2) and you'll be set.
  9. If you want to try to steep it faster, place bottles of juice into a ziplock bag and seal tightly. Get as much air out of it as possible so it doesn't float. Place into a bowl of hot water and let the water cool naturally. Take out, shake and repeat. From what I've heard it's the hot water that helps the steeping along. I've tried this for some of my juices when I couldn't wait and it works pretty well... not quite as well as when you let time do its thing but it does help.
  10. My hair's too short for rubber bands so none from me... BUT! I do have a Maltese as shown in my avatar and she has lots of hair care stuff.
  11. Yes! I think this one came from around a bunch of green onions...
  12. The grape might just need to steep a little while. Try storing it in a dark place, shake once a day and give it a try again in a week or two to see if the flavor gets better for you. Some juices just need a bit of time.... But then again it might also be that fruit flavors aren't for you.
  13. The rubber band works great. Thanks for the tip, Troy!
  14. They have a Pyrex tank so you can use any kind of juice in it without fear of cracking -- unless you drop it or something, but it won't crack from the juice inside. It's a bottom coil and produced loads of vapor from my 50/50 juices. The EVOD uses the same kind of coil as a Pro Tank. AquaTroy says it tightens up the draw a little to make it less "airy". I'm trying to figure out how I want to plug some of the air holes in the base so it gives a tighter draw myself.
  15. Hey, Kit? Why does being a supplier keep Brian from also being a "forum member"? I always wondered why Brian got quieter than when I first started on VT. Thought it was me... :-p
  16. Brian is one of the main reasons why I shop and rec people to The Veteran Vaper. That he has quality stuff at good prices adds to the mix. So far I've not heard one bad thing about anyone who has shopped with him.
  17. http://www.ecblendflavors.com/peanut-butter-cup-eliquid-flavor/ You're in trouble.
  18. And I'm blaming you on my renewed interest in peanut butter. Lol! Not an e-liquid but I recently saw that Poptarts has a new peanut butter flavor out and I tried it. OMG, it's so good! Now I need to go get a peanut butter juice to try.
  19. I like to use glass bottles so I order from Specialty Bottles.com the link is here: http://www.specialtybottle.com/ They have all kinds of sizes with droppers and without, fast shipping and great customer service.
  20. Like Kitsune said, vaping is very trial and error -- especially with e-liquids. It's such a personal preference thing. You might want to order your liquid from a vendor that allows you to customize...well, everything. From PG/VG percentages to nicotine levels to added flavorings, etc. Aaaand, like Troy said, your tastebuds are going through a change and will continue to do so as you vape longer and stay off the analogs. You'll be surprised to find what tastes good to you down the line.
  21. What kind of juice are you using that it's so harsh (PG/VG and/or nicotine)? Also, at what voltage are you vaping at?
  22. Rixter on this forum recommended EC Blend's Chocolate Malt (extra flavor) to me and I've been stuck on that site's juices ever since. They have over 400 flavors and so many ways to customize each one. Their prices are very reasonable, great customer service and I love their juices. Other sites that are very popular with members of this forum are Vape Dudes, Mt. Baker Vapor, Sweet-Vapes.com (add the hyphen), and the juice sold here from Vapor Talk Market Place. Good luck! My current favorites are Feels Like a Nut (tastes just like Almond Joy), double extra sweetner added, blueberry, strawberry shortcake, and Mojito all at 50 VG/50 PG, 12 mg of nicotine.
  23. I also like that I can trust the vendors at the Market Place and don't have to worry if I'll get a quality product from an untried source. If Chris trusts them enough to have them here, then I'm more than happy to give them my business.
  24. Just an FYI...and your mileage may vary as we're all different but many vapers tend to vape more often than we smoked. Even at 24 mg and having been a pack a day smoker, we're getting a bit less nicotine per draw. I know I've cut down on the nic since I've started though. I keep everything from 0 to 24 mg and switch around using more when I need it or can take less "vape breaks" and need a quick hit of nicotine. When I'm at home and relaxing I'll chain vape anything from 0 - 12 mg depending on my mood. In my refrigerator you'll find five packs of unopened Marlboro Lights. That's what I had when I walked away from them and haven't wanted to go back. I do look at them periodically when I open the fridge and just...smile as I get a bottle of water and close the door. They're a good reminder of where I was and how much better I feel today knowing I don't even want them anymore.
