You could always get some flavoring at Walmart, Target, name your favorite grocery store here and try your hand at DIY by adding a drop to a tobacco juice you already have. Just an FYI if you decide to do this - mix in a separate bottle only a little at a time so if you need to add some more juice you'll have it on hand and won't be stuck with too much flavor in the original bottle.

According to the vid on the site they say that a 2.0 ohm coil does best at a recommended 4.3 - 4.8 volts, which surprised me because that sounds so high. But with these being wound so tight I guess they can easily take the extra voltages. Thanks again for the rec!

Okay, it finally got here today. Mine is the HH.357 Cisco Spec Hybrid, 2.0 ohm, matte black, standard sized atomizer. I read the directions, blew out the primer, dabbed a little inside (very gently) to get the rest of it out, added 5 drops of juice and took an unpowered draw. Gurgled a little like it's supposed to, added a couple more drops and vaped. No flavor. But I expected this because of the lingering primer. Kept vaping in short-ish draws, added more juice, vaped some more, added more juice, vaped some more, all the while waiting in eager anticipation for the flavor to come though and blow me away. It didn't. I kept at it as I'd read that it takes some time for the break in period to finally come through. Gotta admit that I vaped myself silly and killed a battery doing it. Changed to a fully, freshly charged battery and kept trying. I finally had to put it down as I got too much nicotine in my system. After dinner I tried it again for about 20 minutes and BAM! I got a clue. Turn up the voltage, dummy. I'd set my battery at 3.8 volts as I didn't want to risk blowing the coil right off the bat. Turned up the voltage to 4.0 and...a little something. Turned it up some more to 4.3 and...WOW. Full freakin' flavor! For several months I've been stuck on EC Blend's Feels like a Nut (tastes just like an Almond Joy candy bar), and it had gotten to the point where the flavor was pretty muted even with direct dripping. With the HH.357 it's like the first time I tasted this juice. I am beyond impressed. I'm taking shorter draws than I usually do because the flavor coming through is so intense. And holy clouds of vapor, Batman! The draw is very light, almost like a Kangor Pro Tank but just a touch tighter. And did I mention the FLAVOR??? Avid Vaper just got an order for two more of these from me. Thanks, Rixter, for another most excellent recommendation. I can't believe I waited this long...

Sure it is, Medic. We all believe you! If Jeff is manly enough to admit to having a pink eGo battery I think you should be just as manly and own up to having a pink iPad.

Why is it that so many women harp on their men for spending a little money on toys when they're guilty of spending much more on shoes and other useless bling? I don't get it. Yes, yes, here. I'll save you the trouble of taking away my woman card. :-p

Paired with the pink ereader... it looks pretty manly to me!

You're welcome, but you're the first one I thought of when iMedic asked, Mark. It's your beautiful work that's responsible.

I think every smoker goes through something like this when they know they should quit but is too scared of letting go of the cigarettes that have been with them for so long. Several years ago I went through a four week smoking cessation program that shed a lot of light into our psychology of why we smoke and continue to do so even though we know it's killing us. Much of what I learned really made a lot of sense when I was ready to let go of my denial and feelings of being defensive. Cigarettes have been there 24/7, it never makes conditions on why it's there, it just is: a constant companion to keep us company. Whether we're bored, happy, sad, whatever. It's always there like a deadly security blanket. When we're ready to try to quit we each have to go through a sort of grieving process to let it go. The social aspect is also there. I've met some of my very best friends because we were outside smoking. We had an instant common bond in that "us against them" mentality (smokers vs. non-smokers). Don't push him, just continue vaping. Answer questions if and when he asks them but with no pressure. When he's ready he'll try it on his own. Until then heaven and earth won't change his mind. Be a friend who's supportive because he's going to need it.

Sounds like your friend is grasping at straws to come up with an excuse not to give up the cigarettes, and that's okay. He needs to be truly ready before he'll give it a try. How about a black Vision Spinner 1300 with a Pro Tank 2. It's clunky enough to be "manly" and you can change the tip to a more "masculine" one. Take a look at the various drip tips you can get at Empire Mods. The snake ones or skull and cross bones should be okay. http://www.empiremods.com/category_s/48.htm

No cleaning here, either, unless it looks like it needs it. Guess we're just trusting souls.

Anybody do any "hardcore" camping?
Tam replied to blucavvy's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
Never saw "Into the Wild" but yes, I've done camping like that. Roughing it big time. If you have electricity, it's not really camping. A big maybe on a faucet on a pipe sticking out of the ground that's in the middle of nowhere and you have to hike some to get to it. Prefer to camp near a good sized river. No pads under your sleeping bag, just a tent and rocks for pillows. Aluminum foil and a very sharp knife (I prefer it to be razor sharp) are your best friends. These days my idea of roughing it is a Marriott with slow wi-fi, though. -
That's why we preach about back ups here. And back ups of your back ups. Hope you can get a replacement soon!

Depends on what the vendor does about your order once you contact him/her to let them know of the mix up. If they offer to correct and make it good I'd say it's a good vendor and they just made a mistake. If they give you any grief -- never use them again and let us know who they are so we don't experience the same thing.

The owner and your friends may think these are good because they do not know about the kinds of equipment Bcarter is recommending. Nearly all of us on this forum use eGo or Vision Spinner batteries or mods. Nearly half of those who switched to these kinds of batteries started out with the kind you linked to and it's unanimous that they can't believe what a HUGE difference and improvement once they switch. It sounds to me that you've already made up your mind to purchase these so go ahead and get them. At least you'll get off cigarettes. Then, when you're ready for something more (when these don't do it for you anymore), you can try some of what the members here would highly recommend.

CE4 and CE5 tips are the same -- I believe. http://www.gotvapes.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=68_199 I've got several of these colors and they work just fine on my CE5s.

Where do you get your e liquid bottles from?
Tam replied to masonlvvy's topic in General eLiquid Discussion
I get mine from specialtybottle.com but those are all glass bottles with dripper tops. The prices are right and good customer service. Speaking of which I need to restock my bottles. -

You know, I wonder if that's not the problem? Everyone here who's been raving about these things have gotten the full sized Davides. Maybe because it's the mini that I'm having a problem? *scratches head* -

Thanks, Medic. I'm disappointed but not quite ready to give up on them just yet. Like I said I'm going to give it a couple of tanks to shape up. If that doesn't work I'll ship them to you free of charge. Only fair since you already shipped me some juice without charging me for them. The problem is that I really wanted to like them. Oh, and these are the Davide Minis, not the full sized ones. Would that be a problem for you? -

There are four holes at the base of the clearomizer and I've put a small piece of tape on one. Tried two but that made the draw too tight. "The draw reminds me of the Pro Tank, it's very airy so I put tape over one of the holes because I like a tighter draw. It was almost where I wanted it but not quite so I put tape on another hole and it was too tight. *sighs* I feel like Goldilocks. Now, I have tape on only one hole." That's what I said in my first post about the Davide. Other than to do what I did, I guess I could solder one of the holes closed and make the second hole smaller. Even though I have the skill set to do that I don't want to bother. If it doesn't improve I can just chalk it up to "I tried it and it didn't work for me." Not the end of the world. There's still the good old dependable direct dripping. -

There's nothing wrong with the juice. I've been vaping the same flavor for months on end. I love the flavor so much that I buy it in 125 ml bottles. When I vape it from a Vision Victory I get plenty of flavor, almost as much as when I direct drip. Whenever I use any clearomizer I always make sure everything is tightened like it should be. As a matter of fact I took it completely apart and cleaned it and put it back together before ever starting anything else. Not everything works for everyone. I guess this isn't for me. So far I've gone through nearly 3/4 of the tank and still it's not giving any flavor. It puts out tons of vapor, though. I'll give it a go for another tank or so to see if it gets any better but I'm not optimistic. Will have to think about what I want to try in the Pro Tank 2 I also got in today. -

Can anyone tell me what ohm these are that come in the Davide? I've vaped through half a tank already and can't taste the juice. I've got my Spinner up to 4.3 volts and...nuthin'. 4.8 volts gives me a slight burnt taste so I backed it down to 4.6 volts. I think I'm getting a little bit of flavor... Oh, yeah. I got them today. The draw reminds me of the Pro Tank, it's very airy so I put tape over one of the holes because I like a tighter draw. It was almost where I wanted it but not quite so I put tape on another hole and it was too tight. *sighs* I feel like Goldilocks. Now, I have tape on only one hole. Guess I can deal. Man, but this thing sucks up the juice! It might be the juice I'm using in it (Feels like a Nut), that I can't get any flavor. Will try a different flavor in the second one I bought to see if it's any better. I'm bummed because I really wanted to like this -- kinda like the Pro Tank. So far it's not doing it for me.
