new Survey for CASAA to share with FDA
Tam replied to Uma's topic in Vaping Legislation & Regulation News
DONE!!! I hope this survey helps CASAA to convince the FDA to leave e-cigarettes alone. It's working for so many, no need to limit our access to it. Thanks, Uma, for posting the links. -
I know, right? Lol. I was wondering what the hell he bought in ecig stuff that racked up that kind of cash.

You need to change it up a bit during the day from one flavor to another. If you continually vape one flavor you won't be able to taste it after awhile. Once you change to a different one for a bit and then go back to your original flavor you should be able to taste it just fine...

Lol, Jeff! I had to go to Buckeye Vapor to see if such a thing really existed. This sounds interesting.
-
That's interesting. Thanks for the tip.

All I was saying is that if it's tobacco juice I will bow out. You guys can choose whatever flavor you want. Sorry, didn't mean to dictate what flavors will be chosen.
-
As long as it's not tobacco flavored juice I'm good with whatever. Why not tell the vendor what we're doing? They may give us a discount.
-
This is an interesting question. Why would it make a difference if you let them rest after charging or using them immediately after? I've never heard of this before. What are the advantages vs. disadvantages of letting them rest?

One more fun fact about nicotine: in a study (sorry, but I don't remember where I read this but I think it was an accredited medical journal?), nicotine, in and of itself, was found to be highly addictive but not more harmful than caffeine. Take that for what it's worth as it was only the findings of one study, but I found the results to be interesting. So nicotine could be fairly harmless, it's just the 4000+ carcinogens that cigarettes contain that's bad for you.

I've been using an acrylic make-up organizer (CO-825 http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Cosmetic-organizer-makeup-drawers-Display-Box-Acrylic-Clear-Cabinet-Case-Set-/261130646905?pt=US_Makeup_Bags_Cases&var=&hash=item3ccc997579). The little box-type fits my spinners and/or a 10 ml bottle very well. The back larger sections fit a 125 ml bottle of juice very easily and the parts with the lids are great for Q-tips. The drawer is perfect for my drip tips. Until I can save for the custom one I want to commission from Mark, this works very well for me. -

Wish I could've gone. Darn work got in the way. *sighs* -
This is just an opinion based on my experience. When I was smoking it was around a pack to a pack and a half a day of Marlboro Lights, which is around 12 mg of nicotine. When I first started vaping it was with 24 mg of nicotine (similar to a pack of Marlboro Reds). It was the extra nic that I was getting initially that helped to get me off the cigarettes and not miss it so much. Once I got past the first couple of weeks of vaping and totally off the analogs I started cutting down the nic to 12, sometimes 6 - 0 mg now. I go up and down depending on what's going on in my life and what I want/need at the moment. In my opinion it wouldn't hurt her at all to start with the 12 mg. I'd even recommend an 18 or even a 24 to get totally off the analogs. The rest is downhill from there. Just my two cents, her experience may vary.

Hmmm. And here I thought I was late to the party. Just got home after having to go into work today.

I'm doing research on it now, Rixter. Once I get an ohm meter for these things and figure out what kind of wicking material I want to use...I think I can use my Fluke meter but it's too bulky to want to handle all the time.

Not just cartomizers, Spydre. Anything with a coil with a higher resistance can be run with a higher voltage.

Pssst! Hey, guys, you don't think we scared him/her off with all of our questions, do you?

Inside today's vape mail were three Anyvape Davide minis and a 5-pack of Kanger Pro Tank coils in 2.2 ohm.

Also, what ratio of PG/VG is your juice?
-
This just in: 4 Pro Tank collars from Smoketek One 30 ml bottle of Flavor West Sweetener from Ecigexpress. The first bottle leaked a little in the bag so they sent out this second one when I contacted them about it right away.

Sounds like you might want to look into getting new batteries. They should hold a charge for longer than that. Glad you're back on the wagon and stress levels have evened out.

I compare what I have on hand, which is a Davide mini and a KPT2. I really don't feel the urge to buy a full sized Davide or even just the tank so I can compare it to the KPT2 when the only thing different on the mini is the size of the tank. All the other hardware is the same and fully comparable, IMO. -

I have one hole taped up on the Davide and it's fine for me. With the Pro Tank 2 it has a little bit of a tighter draw than the Davide with tape. That said, before you consider buying more Davides or anything, I would put my money on a Vision Spinner or an eGo Twist (any variable voltage battery) and try those first. It might make a difference with a higher voltage going to your device. -
For me I don't look at vaping as either/or -- I can only have one or not the other and if I smoke a cigarette I have failed. Look at it this way: I choose to vape today. I can have a cigarette if I really want one but I'm choosing not to right now. It takes the stress off. I've tried a few here and there to see if it still had the same hold on me that it once did. After a couple of drags I had to go brush my teeth and take a shower to get the smell off and the taste out of my mouth. Don't beat yourself up over it. You're vaping again and that's what counts. No stress. Life throws enough your way, don't create it where it doesn't exist.
