  1. They were fairly quick to respond to my email, but they said that if I want them to ship in boxes, that I have to specify that in the comment box for the order. I will not be buying anything more from them. Ever.
  2. I have both, the Pro Tank 2 and Davidi mini, and I prefer the Davide mini. If you're careful it's not hard to fill it with a regular drip bottle top, you don't absolutely need a needle tip or syringe. The Davide mini offers the closest to direct dripping as far as delivering flavor that I've found. YMMV. I get mine from Discount Vapers.
  3. For whatever reason the coils that come in them just never seem to work for me out of the box. I'm glad I figured out I needed to change the coils for it to work. Now, whenever I pop open a new mini I just automatically pitch the coil that came in it and put a new one in so I don't have to be bothered later on.
  4. Have you tried clicking the button five times fairly quickly in a row? If you press the button just once, does it light up? If not, your device might be in the "off" position and you'll need to turn it on with five clicks.
  5. Just my experience, B, but for some reason the coils that came in the minis I've gotten all seem to have weird ticks to them in one form or another. It's only after I change the coils that it seems to work well. That's just been my experience, though. YMMV.
  6. It's not that a flavor can irritate, it's just that our taste buds can become "immune" to a flavor after we've been vaping it for awhile. When you change flavors for a bit and then go back to it, your taste buds can once again taste it -- for a while before you need to change again.
  7. Will do, Aquatroy. I'm so disappointed that I had to miss the meet this year.
  8. There are three vape shops in my town. Two are the same company and the one that got me started. They sell only genuine Joytech and other name brands that we all have used and recommend here on Vapor Talk. There are two salesmen there that love to see me come in because I introduce them to all kinds of new and fun toys -- vapor related of course. The owner is great. I showed him my Spinners and he now carries them. The Davide and Davide mini are the newest things he's looking into getting. The other store is just getting started so he doesn't have much inventory right now. It's wonderful to have shops nearby.
  9. Well, that's better. Now I don't feel so disappointed that I might've missed a chance to visit a new store.
  10. I've placed the new coil in, twisted counter-clockwise until the threads clicked into place and then tighten clockwise. I don't know how it could be improper placement, and I am rather mechanically inclined. I've also changed out several coils and wick combos, brand new ones, no cleaning. Then, very carefully put everything back together again. Can't see how it could be anything that could be considered "improper placement" or "missing wick after cleaning." They still leak -- or seep slowly until my battery connection is wet when I take off the Pro Tank and/or Pro Tank 2.
  11. Well, I'm happy to say that I tried my best to help the industry along toward the 1 billion dollar mark.
  12. ADV = All Day Vape
  13. Just curious, Spydre, did you say that yours is a full-sized Davide or a mini?
  14. Vape mail from Viper Vapes -- four Davide Minis in a bent and crumpled up priority envelope. The boxes were crammed into a bubble wrap envelope inside. For $6.00 shipping and handling I think I got more than my money's worth: the envelope looked like it was handled plenty and then some! I sent them an email about their poor packaging and doubt seriously if I'll ever do business with them again.
  15. Aw, man! And I was just in Colorado Springs today, darn it! Will look for it next trip. Thanks for the heads up, Aquatroy.
  16. I started vaping on May 10, 2012 and my dentist is thrilled -- as is my dental hygienist who cleans my teeth. As someone who is prone to cavities by genetics I've not had a cavity since I started vaping and my dentist is happy that my teeth are healthier than they've been in some time. Now, whether that's because of vaping or not, I have no idea. All I know for certain is that my smile is whiter than it's ever been.
  17. You can also replace the tips on the Davide and Davide minis. So far, with the minis I have, I've never experienced any leaking. The Pro Tank? Yes, it leaks like a sieve with several different coils on it. The Pro Tank 2? Yeah, I'm getting some leaking going on, just not as bad as the original Pro Tank. Color me less than impressed with the two Pro Tanks.
  18. I use 2.2 ohm. Just got my four Davide Minis from Viper Vape. I don't think I'll ever use them again after this. For $6.00 shipping I got it via a small priority cardboard envelope that was bent six ways from Sunday. Inside the envelope the four boxes were crammed into a bubblewrap paper envelope. USPS doesn't charge for the boxes, Viper Vape could've very easily sent my order in one of those instead of the flimsy sorry excuse for a... *huffs* I'll be contacting them to let them know I'm not happy with their shipping measures. We'll see what they say.
  19. The 1300s are the same height as a 900 mAh but fatter around. If your boss isn't okay with something that's as tall as a 1100 Twist, then I don't think a 1300 would be for you at work. The 900s are a bit shorter than the 1100 though.
  20. That's really strange. Now I'm very curious about this juice that's giving your atomizers fits. What PG/VG ratio is it? The first I'd heard about the HH.357 was from Rixter. He has never steered me wrong before and this time wasn't an exception. I've never had an atty that performed this well before with the flavor of the juices just bursting through. It's like I've never tasted these juices before even though I'd been vaping them through 510, 306, bridged, bridgeless, you name it. If you get one make sure you follow the directions on how to break it in. Then, vape yourself into a huge cloud of bliss.
  21. Aaah, that makes sense. Sounds like your coil popped and now it's no good. That's the bad thing about stuff made in China, there's no quality control. I've had coils pop on an atty with the first draw or two, but I don't remember any burst of air like what you're describing. If you like to direct drip I'd highly recommend an HH.357 Hybrid spec atomizer from Avid Vaper. They're $25 each but they're also hand made in the US and are said to last for months -- up to a year or more. The two I'm using right now deliver better vapor and flavor than any other atomizer I've ever tried...and there have been a LOT of those.
  22. That's really bizarre. Sorry, I've got nothing else.
  23. Have you broken in these two atomizers? They come with primer (either VG or PG) on the coils. Those have to be gotten through first before the flavor of the juice comes through. That might be what you're tasting. Just a thought.
  24. A coil can go with the first use. Unfortunately, quality control issues are...well, issues.
  25. Sorry, no help here. Once I got off the analogs I don't want anything that tastes remotely like one anymore.
