  1. Well, that's better. Now I don't feel so disappointed that I might've missed a chance to visit a new store.
  2. I've placed the new coil in, twisted counter-clockwise until the threads clicked into place and then tighten clockwise. I don't know how it could be improper placement, and I am rather mechanically inclined. I've also changed out several coils and wick combos, brand new ones, no cleaning. Then, very carefully put everything back together again. Can't see how it could be anything that could be considered "improper placement" or "missing wick after cleaning." They still leak -- or seep slowly until my battery connection is wet when I take off the Pro Tank and/or Pro Tank 2.
  3. Well, I'm happy to say that I tried my best to help the industry along toward the 1 billion dollar mark.
  4. Just curious, Spydre, did you say that yours is a full-sized Davide or a mini?
  5. Vape mail from Viper Vapes -- four Davide Minis in a bent and crumpled up priority envelope. The boxes were crammed into a bubble wrap envelope inside. For $6.00 shipping and handling I think I got more than my money's worth: the envelope looked like it was handled plenty and then some! I sent them an email about their poor packaging and doubt seriously if I'll ever do business with them again.
  6. Aw, man! And I was just in Colorado Springs today, darn it! Will look for it next trip. Thanks for the heads up, Aquatroy.
  7. I started vaping on May 10, 2012 and my dentist is thrilled -- as is my dental hygienist who cleans my teeth. As someone who is prone to cavities by genetics I've not had a cavity since I started vaping and my dentist is happy that my teeth are healthier than they've been in some time. Now, whether that's because of vaping or not, I have no idea. All I know for certain is that my smile is whiter than it's ever been.
  8. You can also replace the tips on the Davide and Davide minis. So far, with the minis I have, I've never experienced any leaking. The Pro Tank? Yes, it leaks like a sieve with several different coils on it. The Pro Tank 2? Yeah, I'm getting some leaking going on, just not as bad as the original Pro Tank. Color me less than impressed with the two Pro Tanks.
  9. I use 2.2 ohm. Just got my four Davide Minis from Viper Vape. I don't think I'll ever use them again after this. For $6.00 shipping I got it via a small priority cardboard envelope that was bent six ways from Sunday. Inside the envelope the four boxes were crammed into a bubblewrap paper envelope. USPS doesn't charge for the boxes, Viper Vape could've very easily sent my order in one of those instead of the flimsy sorry excuse for a... *huffs* I'll be contacting them to let them know I'm not happy with their shipping measures. We'll see what they say.
  10. The 1300s are the same height as a 900 mAh but fatter around. If your boss isn't okay with something that's as tall as a 1100 Twist, then I don't think a 1300 would be for you at work. The 900s are a bit shorter than the 1100 though.
  11. That's really strange. Now I'm very curious about this juice that's giving your atomizers fits. What PG/VG ratio is it? The first I'd heard about the HH.357 was from Rixter. He has never steered me wrong before and this time wasn't an exception. I've never had an atty that performed this well before with the flavor of the juices just bursting through. It's like I've never tasted these juices before even though I'd been vaping them through 510, 306, bridged, bridgeless, you name it. If you get one make sure you follow the directions on how to break it in. Then, vape yourself into a huge cloud of bliss.
  12. Aaah, that makes sense. Sounds like your coil popped and now it's no good. That's the bad thing about stuff made in China, there's no quality control. I've had coils pop on an atty with the first draw or two, but I don't remember any burst of air like what you're describing. If you like to direct drip I'd highly recommend an HH.357 Hybrid spec atomizer from Avid Vaper. They're $25 each but they're also hand made in the US and are said to last for months -- up to a year or more. The two I'm using right now deliver better vapor and flavor than any other atomizer I've ever tried...and there have been a LOT of those.
  13. Have you broken in these two atomizers? They come with primer (either VG or PG) on the coils. Those have to be gotten through first before the flavor of the juice comes through. That might be what you're tasting. Just a thought.
  14. A coil can go with the first use. Unfortunately, quality control issues are...well, issues.
  15. Sorry, no help here. Once I got off the analogs I don't want anything that tastes remotely like one anymore.
  16. What battery are you using? Is it variable voltage? If so you might want to turn it down all the way and work your way up little by little. Otherwise...not a clue.
  17. Lol, B! I also ordered four more Davide minis for on the go. Still, I prefer my HH.357 atomizer for at home when I vape long term.
  18. You can leave the cap off in a dark cupboard, shake daily and try it again in a day or five. In order to accelerate steeping you can put it into a ziplock baggie, get as much air out as possible, seal and then dunk in a bowl of hot water (not boiling), and let it sit until the water cools. Shake it and vape. You may need to do this a couple of times. Still, time works the best when a juice needs to steep and be sure to keep the open bottle away from pets and small children.
  19. I love my Vision Spinners (both 900 and 1300 mAh). Yes, any 510 or 901 drip tip will work with the Pro Tank 2.
  20. In theory certification is a good thing. I hope to see more e-liquid suppliers adopt excellence standards. That said I'm pretty happy with the vendors I currently use on a regular basis. They're very transparent in their business practices and offer great customer service. As I branch out little by little to DIY juices I doubt I'll notice if a vendor is certified or not.
  21. Usually it cracks from the bottom where the juice always has contact with the plastic. It looks like tiny spiderweb lines that spread out with time until it starts leaking. It's not the one or three deep lines or anything like that.
  22. The high citrus in my mojito flavor used to crack the T2 on a semi-regular basis. Other flavors were all fine though.
