Define "good" porn for me, please.

And that's your story and you're gonna stick with it, huh?

I don't think I wanna know how it is that you know what a cactus tongue scrub feels like so you can make this comparison, Troy. TMI

Cactus tongue. A great side effect and exfoliator replacement. As in: C'mere, bebe, and let me bave you wif my thongue.

This is totally normal. Vaping will dehydrate you so it's good to increase your water intake.

Tell us how it's working for you. -
I'm just looking forward to hearing what you all think of this flavor, Medic. I've already known it yummy for nearly a year now. lol
-
Already have a bottle of 12 mg, 70 PG/30 VG.

The only thing I can think of is that you're vaping one flavor too long. Once it starts tasting bad I'd go with a different flavor that tastes good to you. When that one isn't doing it anymore I'd switch to another. Other than that I can't think of anything else it might be. Some others here on the forum might have more thoughts on your problem. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
-
Okay, here's another question. How long have you been vaping? If you're fairly new to this it could be your taste buds. They're going through a change as you get off the analogs and all the carcinogens they contain.
-
Just because a tank is new doesn't mean there's nothing wrong with it. All of my new Davide minis came with a coil that didn't work right so I had to replace every one of them. I've had atomizers that came DOA although that's pretty rare. What kind of atomizers and tanks are you using? You said the first day the juice tastes fine. Are you vaping the same juice all day? If you are then that could be the problem. Most of us on the forum have to change flavors several times a day to be able to keep tasting them. After a few hours I have to change to a completely different flavor for a bit so that I can go back to my favorite otherwise, I just can't tell what the flavor is any more. Also, when you say you change flavors, do you have one tank you're emptying and refilling or do you have several that you keep loaded with a flavor of their own?

Still new to this and need help with juice (EC Blends)
Tam replied to georgeisabamf's topic in General eLiquid Discussion
Another thing you might try is to change out your coil in your Vivi Nova. That might be the culprit. Do you know what ohm your coil is currently? Personally, I find 1.5 and 1.8 ohm coils to be too harsh. Others like it but, for me, it doesn't do it for me. I prefer 2.0 to 2.2 ohm. Since you've already done business with EC Blends you can order a Smoktech atomizer from that site. Before I bought and tried a custom HH.357 Spec Hybrid atomizer I used to use the Smoktech 510 all the time and liked it very well. The HH.357 is probably pricier than you'd want to start with (it's $24.99). You'll also want a couple of drip tips with your atomizer, you can't use it without one. http://www.ecblendflavors.com/atomizer-smoktech-510/ When you order the 50/50 juice, try it with extra flavor. Everyone goes through the not tasting a flavor if they stay with one for too long. We go to a different flavor for a bit, usually a very different flavor like going from a chocolate to a fruit or a bakery or beverage and then back. When you change it up and go back, you can usually taste the flavor again. Another thing, do you drink a lot of water when you vape? Vaping will dehydrate you so you'll want to keep that in mind. Water is the best thing to help with that. -
For someone fairly new to vaping I'd suggest getting a Vision Spinner battery, either a 900 or 1300 mAh for size. This is variable voltage so you can turn it up until you hit your sweet spot on the juice. Then, like Wizard, I'd go with an Anyvape Davide mini for the tank. It's got replaceable coils so you can change those out. The coils come in different ohms, 1.8 ohm for a hotter vape, 2.2 for middle of the road, 2.5 for a cooler vape. You can go up and down on the voltage with your battery depending on what your juice likes. For juice I'd go with EC Blend, Vape Dudes, or Fusion. These are very popular with many forum members here. A 50 PG/50 VG blend is a good starting point. More VG = slightly sweeter juice, more vapor, smoother vape, thicker juice (too thick and it could gum up your coil faster). More PG = better flavor carrier, thinner juice, more throat hit. Ask lots of questions. There are good people here on the forum and you'll get lots of different opinions and recommendations. Vaping is a very personal thing. What works for one may not work for you so it's a lot of trial and error.

If I were you I'd go with a 50/50 or a 60 PG/40 VG ratio and see how that works for you. With 18 mg of nic the 50/50 should give a decent throat hit without being too harsh. The peppery/spicy feeling shouldn't be there, it's probably your juice ratio but I can't be sure. How high do you have your Twist set at? It might be too high, try dialing that down a bit. Personally, I prefer direct dripping to anything else but there is a learning curve. Since you're just starting out I'd recommend staying with clearomizers/tanks at first until you get that down. Then, I'd go with direct dripping after. Just my opinion, though. -

Juices are all very subjective, BUT if you've just started vaping then your taste buds are going through a radical change as well. When I first started vaping I had to have all of my juices at extra flavor and some double extra flavor so I could taste them. Reduced PG also means reduced flavor because PG is a flavor carrier. You might want to go with 80 PG/20 VG or 70 PG/30 VG instead. Although I love EC Blends and have way too many of their juices, it's not for everyone. You might do better with another vendor like Vape Dudes. For everyone, vaping is a very personal experience. As much as I liked the Vivi Nova tanks I found that it muted the flavors of my juices too much. For me these days, when I'm not direct dripping, I use the Anyvape Davide mini tanks. They have a Pyrex glass tank, the coil is on the bottom, and for me, it gives the best flavor of the juices of all the different delivery systems I've tried -- other than direct dripping. With an eGo Twist you can turn up the volts -- some juices need a little extra, it also depends on what ohm coil you're using in your Vivi Nova as well. The higher the ohm (number), the more volts you might need to use. YMMV. -
The Davide mini is airy as well. You change the drip tip and it gets tighter. I also cover one of the holes at the base and it tightens up perfectly. Only on the Davide mini you'll find three air holes, which you can easily cover to get it to the desired tightness of draw.
-
Or you don't get the vapor/performance that it once did. Another way to tell is if the draw is getting tighter like trying to suck a very thick milkshake through a coffee stirrer.

The eGo type batts have the outside threads. With the drip shields that are made specifically for eGo batts, the threads are covered. The other shields that are for 510 (like APVs?), they sit on top of the eGo batts. At least that's what it does on mine. As I don't have any APVs I can't tell you for certain. I have both types of drip shields because when I first started dripping I didn't know the difference. When we get together I'll be happy to bring them all. -

Atomizers tend to leak a little where it connects to the battery so the drip shield contains that so it doesn't drip all over your battery and fingers. The drip shields can be very pricey to pretty inexpensive on Empire Mods. I only use the ones specifically made for eGo type batteries so they also hide the threads and look better. Every now and then I do a dry draw (draw on the atty without pushing the power button) to draw the juice that has leaked into the drip shield back into the atty so I don't have to redrip for awhile. The only battery I use these days are my Vision Spinners. Like any other atomizer I keep like flavors in each atomizer. Fruit flavors in one, bakery flavors in another, etc. My time is pretty limited as I'm taking care of my mother so I can't make a full fledged road trip right now. There's a conference I'm attending in Denver in October. Since I don't care to get up at the buttcrack of dawn to drive through two city's worth of rush hour I go the day before and stay in a hotel. If you want to get together earlier I'll meet you halfway in Colorado Springs on a weekend. -
That would probably be your taste buds. Since we all taste juices differently it's hard to say who will like something we do or do not. Juices are so subjective. What tastes like the best thing ever to one person will taste like dirty socks to another. I've got more than half of their dragon series so I'm pretty familiar with those. Also, since I've stopped smoking analogs I can't seem to stand the tobacco flavor any more.
-
They all have e-liquid in them, but to answer your question -- nearly all of us use an eGo stick-type of battery or a mod. Although some started with the cigarette type they move on from that to a better battery fairly quickly.
-
Just keep up with Tam and you'll be fine... You've got to try a custom HH.357 Hybrid Spec atomizer. It'll be the last one you'll have to buy.
-
Seriously, I cannot recommend this atomizer enough. I'm not sure what the difference is between a regular HH.357 and the custom job is other than a couple of dollars but mine are simply AMAZING! The regular is $21.99 and the custom is $24.99. For a couple dollars more, I'd go with the custom, just my opinion, though. I started out with one to try. One became an order for two more. And tonight I pulled the trigger on two more. Um...it's so I can keep like flavors in one atomizer. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. There's a little bit of a learning curve to it, and the first one took me a little while to get it right but when I did... In the year and a half that I've been vaping I've tried a lot of different atomizers once I started direct dripping, and these custom HH.357 blow them all away in terms of flavor and performance. Once they start getting a tighter draw I just drop them into a small glass container with a premium vodka (these do not deserve rot gut vodka, IMO) for a couple of hours, shake a little, swirl a little, take it out, drip a few drops of vodka and let it run through, then, I blot gently to get most of the liquid out (the directions don't say to do this, but I like to not have to vape it out), add 6 or more drops and... nirvana. I tried using the Smoketech 2.0 bridgeless that was my favorite until trying the HH.357 and...it just doesn't deliver the flavor of the juices. I've gotten used to the superior performance. *sighs* After using these for a while I'm totally ruined for all other atomizers. With 50/50, 12 mg juice I'm surrounded by huge clouds of vapor, the juice's flavor explodes in every draw...wow. Rixter, if we ever meet in person, I'd like to buy you a drink. Or a couple dozen. Thanks so much for the most excellent rec! Avid Vaper is who sells these. You can get them here: http://www.avidvaper.com/custom-hh-357-cisco-spec-hybrid-510-atomizer/ Well? What are you waiting for? You really, really need to try this. It's like vaping for the very first time and everything is working perfectly.

The four Davide minis I ordered from Discount Vapers came in today. Also ordered two more Custom HH.357 Cisco Spec Hybrid 510 atomizers just now. I should be set for the next couple of years for atomizers now.
