Okay, so I finally took the plunge. Went to my local B&M and got a stainless steel Evic starter kit, the matte black replacement body, two 18650 B 3400 mAh batteries, the Nitecore Intellicharger i4 battery charger and a 5-pack of 1.8 ohm KPT coils as a late birthday present to myself. When I got home I found my package of juices from Medic. Yay! All in all, it's a very good Friday. Now, I just gotta go through this novel that they call a "users' manual" to figure out how to work this Evic. Can't wait until my batteries get a full charge to give it a go.

That's what I love about EC Blends. I can get 5 ml bottles of juice for $2.99 each so I can try all kinds of different flavors to find something I like and order a bigger bottle. Like you, the flavors I thought I'd like/love -- just don't taste like what I think they should. I've found a couple that surprised me and they've become all day vapes for me. -
I've got some of those but from a different vendor. Mine didn't crack when I used it on spearmint from EC Blends... hmmmm. You might've gotten a bad drip tip that was predisposed to cracking?
-
Never heard of that happening before. Lol! What kind of plastic drip tip were you using???
-
Nope. Never got the memo and I'm on salary/contract so it doesn't apply to me. It really should be illegal, I just worked another one, dammit!

Many on this forum like Vapedudes.com, Sweet-vapes.com, EC Blends, Vapor Talk juice from our own marketplace and Fuzion. My personal favorites are EC Blends and Vapedudes. -
Um...I was working a 14 hour day?

Everyone has their favorites and very much like juice, it's what you prefer. There really isn't a one size fits all, it's what you prefer. That said, many people prefer the bottom coils because of the reasons the posters above listed. I have both and prefer the bottom coil in the KPT2 to the iClear 30. The wicks and top coil just doesn't do it for me. Yes, you can rebuild the coils that fit the Pro Tank, Pro Tank 2, Davide, Davide mini -- they all use the same coil, which is another advantage. The iClear 30 has to have the specific coil for it that doesn't fit anything else. The others that I named can all be used with the same coil. The iClear 30 has a plastic tank so you have to be careful of what kinds of juices you use or you run the risk of it cracking. The other four all use Pyrex glass so you can put any flavor juice and it'll be okay. The downside of glass is that it will break if dropped or hit so you'll need to be more careful with these. The choice is yours.

The down side of properly steeped juice...

There is no such thing as a silly question. There are, however, lots of silly answers. Yes, steeping means letting it sit. You'll want a dark, cool place for this. I usually take the cap off so it can "breathe" while it's steeping. That's just a personal choice. If you do leave the cap off make sure it's somewhere a child or pet can't get to it. I usually let most of my juices steep for a few days, vape, let it sit a few days more, vape to test the flavor. Some juices/flavors never get better no matter how much time you give them. Others only continue to improve the longer you let it sit. One flavor I have, I make sure to order more about three weeks before I need it. One week for shipping and such and the rest for steeping. YMMV. -
You can never have too many back ups. Also, keep a few back ups for your back ups. Seriously. You never know when one will go out on you and you may have a bad one as a back up. Just sayin'.

When I finally went to vaping 100% I still had five unopened packs of smokes in the fridge (it keeps them from drying out as I live in Colorado). That was in May of 2012. Today I gave away four of the packs to a friend's daughter who will smoke anything no matter how vile. Lol. I kept one as a safety net to quiet my inner demon conditioning that makes me want to panic that I don't have any cigarettes in the house -- even if I don't smoke any more. Just knowing it's there is enough and I don't have an urge to go grab one. You'll get there, too.

When you wash the KPT2, do it with the stopper in and to be extra careful, use a large plastic bowl so you won't lose an O-ring. It's easier to fish it out of a bowl than to try to get it out of the trap. Don't worry about "quitting" analogs, it'll come with time. Smoke one or several as the mood suits you. You'll find that, by taking the stress off the "I must quit NOW!" mindset, you'll wake up one day and won't want to light one up. At least that's what worked for me. Once I quit pressuring myself to totally quit, it came naturally.

Never tried any of their juices so I can't tell you, Patricia. I just got some DIY stuff like some large bottles of PG and the like along with the sweetener. Sorry.
-
What are you asking? I "interchange" flavors in my e-cig all the time.
-
E-cigarettes. The gift that keeps on giving. Good for you! I'm glad things are working well now.
-
I've got some Anyvape BCC clearomizers that have plastic tanks, just not on any of my Davides.
-
Yeah, but I'd be surprised if it came from Discount Vapers. Patricia said hers came from there.
-
All those that I got from Discount Vapers is glass...as are the others I got from a different vendor. I didn't know they came in plastic, I thought they were all made of Pyrex.
-
Thanks, Christie. You said it much better than I did!
-
Looking forward to it. Did you get the leaking under control?
-
Not the tank itself but the bottom piece.
-
If it just came off when you washed it I would say place it back together and the screw part should hold the tank in. The O-rings are there to seal the juice and keep it from leaking.
