What to expect when I change PG/VG ration

What to expect when I change PG/VG ration

I really can't say when I'll get to the review, Patricia. In the past I've found that when I set a time limit for myself the universe sees fit that I miss the deadline by throwing all kinds of things onto my plate. This is why I very rarely edit unpublished manuscripts any more for my author friends. I hate to let them down by missing a deadline. -
What to expect when I change PG/VG ration
Tam replied to Patricia's topic in General eLiquid Discussion
I normally vape a 50/50 ratio, this tends to decrease throat hit, gives a smoother vape and more vapor than the 70 PG/30 VG. That ratio is a bit too harsh for me. If you put the request for 60 PG/40 VG or any other variation not readily available, Vapedudes will comply. It may take a slightly longer time to process because that's not their normal ratio. I've done this in the past and they're great about working with you on it. Dragon's Tear is from EC Blends, a company I order from regularly and love. This juice is a creamy strawberry flavor with a hint of dragon fruit (it's like a more subtle kiwi flavor). The good thing about EC Blends is that you can get 5 ml bottles of juice to try at $2.99 a bottle. At this price it's easy to go nuts and try all kinds of different flavors without having to spend a lot of money. Just a note: if you try any of the Dragon series of juices, they have to steep a minimum of two weeks or more to get the full flavor to come out. The longer it steeps the more creamy it gets. EC Blends says that Dragons Blood may have a peppery taste if it's not steeped long enough. I never got that but your mileage may vary. Of Medic's juices, he lets you customize any way you want it. Just tell him what ratio and nic content you want. So far my favorites are his green apple, raspberry poundcake, and the caramel vanilla -- all at 50/50 12 mg nic. The caramel vanilla might need to steep a little while longer and I added a drop of two of extra sweetener as I prefer my juices a bit sweeter but it's really good! I need to go over and do a review on his juices that I just got. Just haven't done it yet. If you're going with a higher VG content you might want to let them steep a little while. I've noticed that this helps to bring out the flavor better and to mute the VG taste, which I'm not fond of. These days I'm thinking of going with a 60 PG/40 VG to get away from that, though. Of course all of this is subjective as we all taste juices differently. Play around with the ratios and find out what works best for you. Happy vaping! -
Me too! Got tired of playing with the Evic trying to get the best vape so I put it on a Spinner and haven't been able to set it down yet.

That's true, for the most part. Okay, here's the 'but'. BUT if you can move a lot of product and your online store is in line with the same prices as your B&M, you can make a go of it. My local B&M's prices are the same whether you walk into the store or go online. Although I balk at paying $12 for 12 ml bottle of juice that's a fixed 70 VG/30 PG, the rest of the prices are also very comparable to other online stores. My local B&M started out in half of a very small store that also sold lots of bling and purses (The Pink Boutique). He got so much business that he opened another store on the north side of town that's easily five times bigger, and is close to opening up a warehouse. Great customer service, quality product, comparable prices and lots of education and patience with noobies and he continues to grow. According to him was very difficult to become a certified Joytech seller. His stores have that certification. I really don't know what that means but it sounds good and all of his product are genuine Joytech. No knock offs in his store so you can trust the stuff you buy from him - as much as you can trust any of the stuff that comes out of China anyway.

I'll have to see if I can't get to Steam Spot when I go up north on the 17th...
-
Or if your local B&M has the same products for a comparable price. I don't mind spending a buck or two more on something, after you figure in the shipping cost, it's actually cheaper sometimes.

I wanna see!

Hey, thanks, Troy! I was dreading the search to try to figure out how many watts to start with. I'm putting on the HH.357 2.0 ohms so I guess it should be good at around 6 watts or a little higher. The black body only runs about $10 - $12... Just sayin'.
-
Medic's Caramel Vanilla. *dies* OMG, this is soooo good. I'm sure it's even better since I'm direct dripping into an HH.357 atomizer. I really want to try the Raspberry poundcake and Banilla Cream Pie but I just can't put down the caramel vanilla yet. Great job, Medic!

You're a good man, Troy. Crockett is very lucky that he now has a forever home with you and your family. Pete made a good choice when he chose you.
-
Congrats on the new addition to your family, B. Have a safe and fun trip!
-
Famous last words. Lol! I just dropped $200 on some fun stuff.
-
With that set-up, you should be just fine to tighten it more.
-
What kind of battery and tanks are you using? I never have problems with my Vision Spinners.
-
Okay, so I finally took the plunge. Went to my local B&M and got a stainless steel Evic starter kit, the matte black replacement body, two 18650 B 3400 mAh batteries, the Nitecore Intellicharger i4 battery charger and a 5-pack of 1.8 ohm KPT coils as a late birthday present to myself. When I got home I found my package of juices from Medic. Yay! All in all, it's a very good Friday. Now, I just gotta go through this novel that they call a "users' manual" to figure out how to work this Evic. Can't wait until my batteries get a full charge to give it a go.

That's what I love about EC Blends. I can get 5 ml bottles of juice for $2.99 each so I can try all kinds of different flavors to find something I like and order a bigger bottle. Like you, the flavors I thought I'd like/love -- just don't taste like what I think they should. I've found a couple that surprised me and they've become all day vapes for me. -
I've got some of those but from a different vendor. Mine didn't crack when I used it on spearmint from EC Blends... hmmmm. You might've gotten a bad drip tip that was predisposed to cracking?
-
Never heard of that happening before. Lol! What kind of plastic drip tip were you using???
-
Nope. Never got the memo and I'm on salary/contract so it doesn't apply to me. It really should be illegal, I just worked another one, dammit!
