As much as I have a love affair with different drip tips I've never before seen one with the two O-rings like the ones that come with the Davide mini. All the drip tips I've gotten from Empire Mods (http://www.empiremods.com/category_s/48.htm?searching=Y&sort=5&cat=48&show=100&page=1), have only one O-ring and all of them sit very snug with no wobbling. I'm particularly fond of the long ones here (http://www.empiremods.com/product_p/driptaxxxl.htm) for dripping. The extra long length keeps the juice from getting sucked up into my mouth. If you order from Empire Mods make sure they're the 901/510 types and not the 306 as those are for a different type of atomizer.

Thanks for the tip, Troy. I tried it on VW mode and thought I was doing something wrong (according to directions), when it seemed I kept having to up the wattage to get a decent vape. Still so much to learn on this thing! I also mostly use a 50/50 blend as well...

So far the Evic seems to be fine, I'm still not totally versed on how to use it correctly but I'm learning. It hasn't blown me away like I'd hoped an APV would but then again I might not have found the right settings just yet. Still haven't put it onto my computer yet to update any hardware (no need to right now), but that should get interesting when I do. My main problem with getting to know the Evic is my lack of time to devote to it, the voltage and wattage settings have me a bit stumped at this point. My nefarious plan today is to take it with me to my local B&M where I bought it and have the guys there give me some pointers. I'm crossing my fingers that it's a simple tweak to get it where I want it.

http://www.avidvaper.com/hh-357-cisco-spec-hybrid-atomizers/ There. How's that? I'll even do you one better, Bebop. If, for any reason you don't like it -- I'll buy it from you. I can whole heartedly recommend the Custom HH.357 for just a couple dollars more. I now have seven of them going through rotation.

If I'm not mistaken nearly all the round, tube-like mods are about the same size -- if they're not square shaped. When I put my Davide mini on my Evic it looks a little odd because the tank is much smaller around diameter-wise than the tube of the mod. My Pro Tank and Pro Tank 2 look more finished and like a better fit. You do get used to the size after using it for a while. YMMV.

4.2 volts at full charge??? If I remember correctly the fixed voltage batteries only run at around 3.7 volts at full charge... The HH.357 would be wasted on anything less than a variable voltage device, imo. I have several at 2.0 ohm that vape at a minimum of 4.3 volts and I just recently got two more at 1.8 ohm that need anything between 3.8 to 4.2 volts to get the best performance. I'm using the custom HH.357 Hybrid spec. My personal recommendation? Get a Vision Spinner at 900 mAh, a custom HH.357 at either 1.8 or 2.0 ohm, a genuine Empire Mod drip shield for the eGo battery (only these will cover the threads even on a Vision Spinner), and a few drip tips of your choice.

I've been using is 100% PG. Which gives me great throat hits (which is really what I'm after) but i hear that 50/50 is the best way to go. I'd like to get the amount of vapor that I'm feeling with the throat hit. Nothing worse than a nice throat hit and little to no vapor is produced. I do have a couple follow up questions that if you can address would be great! If you like a harsher throat hit I wouldn't go with a 50/50 mix, you'll be disappointed. Even at 70 PG/30 VG, I get quite a bit of vapor and a decent throat hit. If I were you I'd try that first. 1.How long on average will the heads last when vaping at 3.7v/4v/4.8v with a 1.8ohm atty? Since these products come from China, the quality control issue plays a big role, as does how you vape, the different flavors of the juices, etc. In very general terms I'd say that if you get two to three weeks out of any atty of any ohm you're doing good. Just my opinion, of course. Sweeter, darker juices tend to gunk up atties and/or burn them out faster (usually). More VG content usually equals thicker juices that will gunk up an atty and/or burn them out faster (usually). 2.Can I use the same ego threaded USB battery charger I got with my Kanger Evod with my Ego Twist? ( It fits but I herd that you have to be careful when using different batteries with different chargers) If the battery charger is specifically for that e-cig battery it should be fine for your eGo Twist. Someone else may come along to correct me but I'm pretty certain it should be fine IF it's for that e-cig battery. 3.Should I run the battery all the way down before recharging? Whenever I get a new battery I put it on the charger right away and top it off. Then, when it's fully charged I let it sit for an hour or more so it can "rest" before using. From then on I run the battery down until it flashes to tell me to recharge. 4.Can I leave the battery charging over night? These are lithium batteries so I wouldn't leave them to charge without being awake just in case something happens. Also, I always only use the AC adapter and charge that way. Never use the USB port or a car charger unless you're in the market to buy a new computer/laptop or a new car. Personally, I wouldn't want to take that chance as the USB port and car charger are not outfitted with an overcharge protector. Just my two cents. Welcome back to the wonderful world of vaping.

Joyetech ECA - eVic changeable atomizer

If I remember correctly it has a 510 connection point so it should fit all eGo type batteries, not just an Evic. -
It's nice to finally see a well thought-out article without the usual chicken little lies mixed in. Thanks for spreading the word!

Done!

I'd hazard a guess that the one on the left is his Cisco HH.357 long barrel atty with a short drip shield on it. The one on the right might also be one but with an eGo cone instead of a drip shield. Both have the shorty drip tips. This guessing game is fun! As for bad reviews on the HH.357...really? After all the dozens of different atomizers I've used, the HH.357 is by far and away the very best of them all. I can't even use the others anymore, they just don't perform up to what I've become accustomed to.

All three vendors that Havamal recommended are solid and give great customer service. Definitely worth waiting for in my opinion BUT! You knew there was a but in there, right? Juices are so subjective. What's great to one person will taste like old socks to another. The only way to find out what works for you is to try it for yourself. I don't think I know anyone who refrigerates their juices, just keep them in a cool, dark-ish place. As for the gurgle, you just take the tank off your battery, hold a tissue loosely underneath the part that connects to the battery, blow gently into the mouth piece to remove the excess liquid. The gurgling means that you got some e-liquid inside your center post. Make sure to dab out any liquid on the connection part of your battery as well. That should take care of it.

Congrats on your first six months, Bebop! Now, let me help you spend some more money... I like my version better than Jeff's. Lol

In today's vape mail: Sigelei Ohm Meter. *dances* And two more Custom HH.357 Hybrid Spec atomizers, this time at 1.5 ohms and in stainless steel from Avid Vaper. I think I should be set for a while now.

Is the hole at the bottom of the tank big enough to let juice through to the coil? My local B&M sells these and the owner loves them. -
Is the joyetech/ovale evic still a good device?
Tam replied to richj's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Yeah, I'm with you there, which is why I wound up buying this one just last week. I'm still learning what voltage/wattage is needed to get the perfect vape. Tinkering around with it to learn is also half the fun, though. -
Is the joyetech/ovale evic still a good device?
Tam replied to richj's topic in General Vaping Discussion
According to my local B&M, there will be a new version of the Evic coming out sometime this December. If you're thinking about getting one you might want to wait for the newer version. That said, I just bought an Evic and...it's okay. I'm still learning about it so I'm not much help. Others here who are more experienced with them should chime in shortly. -
Unicorn Blood is from Fuzion not EC Blends.

When you say "everything," does this include food and drink as well, or is it just e-liquids? If it's just e-liquids, then I would guess you're going through vaper's tongue. This would mean you need to switch your flavors more often during the day. I would go from a fruit flavor to bakery to some kind of mint, just make sure it's not similar flavors or you won't be able to taste the juices as well. If you can't taste food and drink, do you brush your tongue? That's helped me to taste things better. Plaque tends to stick to the surface of the tongue and that impedes being able to taste things. One more thing. When you exhale when vaping, do you exhale through your nose? When I smoked I never used to do this because it burned. Vaping is different and it also helps me to taste the e-liquid better. That's been my experience anyway.

How long has it been since you switched to vaping? It could just be that your body's still going through changes and should settle down before too long.
