  1. Go with 12 mg, 50/50 or 60 PG/40 VG, double extra sweet. I wouldn't go the extra flavor as the original is good as is. For me, the extra flavor was just too much but YMMV. You're welcome.
  2. Steeped, yummy Feels Like a Nut... Seriously yummy. Damn! There. How's that? Dripping some Texas Select Pomegranate. Mmmmm
  3. Back ups!!! And back ups of back ups. Lol.
  4. Lol! And I didn't even bring in the "other" bag of goodies. You'll have to let me know how she goes, Troy. Hopefully, we got her into the gear she really needed to become a true vaper. The stuff she had was nice but was waaaay too advanced for a noob. The intimidation factor was hard at work to keep her from putting down the analogs altogether. I stayed for another hour after you and your lady left. While her hubby was learning how to rebuild coils for an RDA, we talked about vaping and tips and tricks. I'm cautiously optimistic that it'll take this time. Great to see you again and it was wonderful to get to meet your lovely lady. See you again in a week or two! Back ups and back ups of back ups. It's never a bad thing and you can never have too much.
  5. You have some talented artists in your family I see. Great looking Jack o' Lanterns, B!
  6. Did a search on Bucky's site and couldn't find any 510 atomizers on there. http://vaportalk.com/marketplace/510-atomizers/ http://www.discountvapers.com/atomizers/ You'll probably want to go with a 510 atomizer to start. My personal favorite these days is the custom HH.357 Cisco Spec Hybrid, but that's the Lamborghini of atomizers and not something a beginner would probably want to try at first, especially due to the cost and there is a learning curve associated with it over and above the regular learning curve of direct dripping. For someone new to dripping I'd suggest getting a bridgeless 510 atomizer in a 1.5, 1.8, 2.0, 2.2, or 2.5 ohm. The lower the resistance (number), the hotter the coil gets. My preference is a 2.0 ohm at around 4.0 volts for these types of atomizers. On my HH.357 I use a 2.0 ohm at 4.3 volts as recommended for this brand.
  7. Here's a link to the thread that got me started dripping. Hopefully, the information in the comments can answer some of your questions like they did for me.
  8. You don't need to clean between flavors with direct dripping, HOWEVER, you do want to keep like flavors together -- just my opinion. I'll use one atomizer for all of my fruit flavors, one for stronger flavors that linger like coffee, one for bakery flavors, etc. The reason is, when you switch from one flavor to another, the first flavor will linger for several draws before the new flavor will come through. If you don't mind the mix, then you can use one atomizer for all your juices. No, it doesn't have to be an RDA. Those are for more advanced users who want to build their own coils. The regular bridged version of an atomizer comes completely ready to use. Some come with a mouth piece while others don't so you'll need to supply your own drip tip for it. There are many types of atomizers. Those with a bridge, those without, the 510, 901, 306... I'm sure I'm leaving a few out. The 510 and 306 have a 510 connection so no adapter is necessary to go on your eGo-type battery or something similar with the same connector. The 901 requires an adapter to fit a 510 connection. ETA: If you do a search on direct dripping threads you'll find lots of useful information, especially in the comments.
  9. Cartomizers and (direct drip) atomizers are two similar yet different things. A cartomizer is basically an atomizer (heating coil at the bottom), but it has some synthetic cotton-like filler material in it. You have to saturate this filler with juice and vape. Many people like it for its convenience over direct dripping while just as many don't like it because they say you can taste the filler. I have never been able to like cartomizers as the juice doesn't wick fast enough down to the coil and I get lots of dry hits. An atomizer doesn't have the filler material and is just the metal cylinder with the heating coil at the bottom. Some have bridges and some don't. Personally I prefer the ones that don't have bridges these days. You can also take the bridge out of an atomizer to make it into a bridgeless version. The coils are all built into an atomizer so you don't have to buy anything other than a drip tip/mouth piece for it if it doesn't come with one pre-attached like those in the first link I gave you. The building of coils comes in the form of RDA (Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer). Those are different things altogether. Clear as mud?
  10. http://vapelite.info/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=22_47&products_id=62 That's a 510 atomizer that I started dripping with. It has a bridge in it that goes over the heating coil. The bridge is made of a small piece of metal with mesh around it that goes over the coil underneath. These days I prefer bridgeless (one without the bridge) as I see the bridge as unnecessary. A dripping atomizer is a cylinder that has a heating coil at the bottom near the battery connection. You drip juice directly onto the heating coil. Because you only use a couple of drops at a time you don't need anything to "catch the juice" other than the cylinder that surrounds the coil. You don't fill these up like you would a tank otherwise you'll flood the thing and it won't produce any vapor. Worst case scenario if you do this is that the atomizer will leak the juice all over your fingers, battery, everything, and you'll get a mouthful of juice when you try to take a draw.
  11. Coffee flavors are very strong and extremely difficult to get out.
  12. It's...okay. The main ingredient in it is alcohol, some PG and a couple of other innocuous things. All in all, I get better clearing out of old flavor by using vodka. Not a bad idea but it's not worth buying something specifically for flavor clearing when vodka handles it better. Just my experience.
  13. Good Lord but it was a fun night! That I also won a K100 mod didn't hurt either. Met some new friends and got to spend time with Aquatroy and his lovely wife.... Good food at Old Chicago, great company and lots of vaping. We even got someone to give up her analogs tonight. Hopefully it'll be the start of a new, fun hobby.
  14. Okay, I'm wiiiiide awake now. Geez.
  15. Mine's more of a dark royal blue. No real green to it. And now I must fly. Going to my first vape meet tonight and getting to meet Mrs. Aquatroy.
  16. Nope. Sorry, but I bought mine from my local B&M. Besides, I like blue...
  17. Blue clashes with too many drip shield colors while white matches with everything.
  18. You did the majority of the work, Bebop, and gave excellent advice. We're all just wanting to help is all.
  19. This past week I got a 30 ml bottle of Fuzion's OrangeZilla.
  20. Patricia, haven't you caught on that getting the lowest price doesn't always mean you get a quality product? In this case it might be a little different as you're buying from Bcarter, but otherwise, you (not you personally but you in a general sense) usually get what you pay for.
  21. With the above you'll also want to add a genuine Joytech charger and wall adapter. Do not ever charge using the USB port on your computer or a car charger -- especially unattended. These are lithium batteries so you want to stay safe. The Vision Spinners are variable voltage. You start with the lowest setting, vape, turn it up a little, vape, when you start getting a burnt taste you turn it down until you get the best taste from your clearomizer (T2) and keep it there. You can get everything that Bebop suggested at The Veteran Vaper. No one that I know of has ever gotten a bad shopping experience with Brian, the owner of this online store. His customer service is excellent!
  22. Why don't you just go to Discount Vaper and buy some, Patricia? They're only $11.99 each and come with two extra coils along with the one inside.
  23. Since Blucavvy got the thread going in "Bump when you buy something new", I thought it would be good to get a thread going on what we receive in vape mail. I'll start here. Just got three of the four custom HH.357 hybrid spec atomizers I sent back to Hanna to clean/repair. The fourth was beyond help so it was discarded. They're just like brand new again! On Monday I'll be shipping out two more of these for similar treatment. I probably wouldn't need to do this but I insist on using the dark, sweet juices so they gunk up faster and don't clean out as well. Great customer service has Avid Vaper. So, what did you get in YOUR vapemail today?
  24. I was very lucky when just starting out. My local B&M only sells genuine Joytech and is a licensed supplier, which is rare. My first set up was an eGo-T 650 mAh pass through with CE4 atomizers. The CE4 only lasted about a week and when I went back the (then) brand new Kangor T2 was out. Those lasted me for several months before I got into the variable voltage Vision Spinner at 900 mAh. Since then I've bought quite a few Spinners in 900 mAh and three in 1300. They're just that good. Just recently I bought my first mod: an Evic, which is...okay but I still prefer the Spinners. If you go through and read all kinds of threads and posts here you'll learn a lot. Maybe a little too much information at times, but it'll make sense later on when you get more experience. We've rarely led a new vaper in the wrong direction -- when they listen to what we've advised anyway.
  25. B said that he has eight, and "Tam" doesn't need any more minis because she has eight herself and mostly direct drips.
