  1. "The best" anything is whatever works best for you. Seriously, that's the "best" answer we can give because everyone is different, tastes things differently, and vaping is a personal experience. What works for one won't work for another but will for someone else. A good starting place would be 50 PG/50 VG. More PG = thinner juice consistency, better flavor delivery, more throat hit. More VG = thicker juice (gunks up coils faster), a bit sweeter, more vapor. Also, keep in mind the higher the nicotine level also increases throat hit and harshness. The nicotine level would depend on the person. If you were a pack a day smoker of a full flavor cigarette and just starting on your vaping journey, then I'd suggest starting out with either 18 or 24 mg of nic until you get over all the other chemicals that were in an analog. After you switch completely and have been vaping for a while you'll find you'll want to lower the nic. My preference these days is anything from 12 mg all the way down to 0 sometimes. I love EC Blends. They offer 5 ml bottles of juice that you can customize to your heart's content starting at around $2.50 so you can go nuts trying out all kinds of different flavors without breaking the bank. Then, when you hit on a flavor and percentage that you like you can order larger bottles. Other vendors I like are Vapor Dudes and Fuzion.
  2. With their certification I highly doubt they could get away with using a lower grade of anything. Maybe it's just the opposite and they're using a higher grade therefore it's more sensitive to heat...
  3. For me FLaN is one that only tastes great by direct dripping. All tanks I've used -- KPT, KPT2, Davide mini, Vision Victory... the list is very long -- and the juice tastes horrible. To me. Sometimes juices seem to have a mind of their own and will taste vile from one delivery system and drool inducing in another. Go figure. As for wispy mouth draws...have you tried any of the bottom feeders like the Pro Tank 2 or a Davide/mini? Just a thought.
  4. For someone like Spyder who isn't experienced with direct dripping I wouldn't recommend an HH.357 -- that's too expensive to start dripping with if you don't even know if it's for you or not. Rather, I'd recommend she pick up a few of these: http://vapelite.info/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=22_47&products_id=62 At $3.50 a piece, these atomizers are wonderful. They perform very well and it's one of the first ones I started my direct dripping journey with. Once she gets over the learning curve of dripping and decides it's right for her....
  5. Yes, the news is not so good but I'm curious if the ban still stands today or if it's been revised since the article was written back in January of 2011.
  6. Not sure about honey/honey tobacco flavors as I don't like them but with some juices it's possible that it needs to steep longer. Some never get better but that's just my taste buds as the people I give it to says it tastes great. Are you leaving the cap off when you steep? That seems to make a difference -- for me at least.
  7. When you first turn on the device (click five times fairly quickly), your device should turn either on or off. Once you do that and you click once you should see the button light up if it's on. If it was on when you clicked the button five times the button should blink several times to tell you it was shutting down. Then, when you push the button once the button should remain dark to tell you that it's off. Is this what you were talking about when you asked about it blinking?
  8. Here's a long shot but it might be worth a try. Do you have any premade coils straight out of a package that wasn't built by you? If you do, try putting that into one of your tanks. Take a little bit of whatever juice, put it into a new bottle and dilute with some distilled water (I've used bottled or filtered water in a pinch). I'd go 2/3 juice to 1/3 water and vape. See if that might make a difference?
  9. Do you have any juices lower in nicotine? I'd give 11 or 12 mg a shot, 6 mg would be even better to try. Sounds very much like it might be the nic level and you need to step it down a bit. Of course I'm no medical professional but that's my guess. I hope it's something as simple as this...
  10. It's always fun to see how the juice changes every few days. Off topic: vaping FLaN and drinking some egg nog. I think I'm in heaven!
  11. K.I.S.S. = Keep It Simple, Stupid The creamier, sweeter juices tend to gunk up coils faster -- or so I've found in my experience. No idea why your juices darken in your tank other than it's getting heated from the coil so that might do it?
  12. If I'm not mistaken I believe Fuzion may add a little food coloring to their juices or the coloring could be in their flavoring they use. Maybe that's the culprit? All the juices I get from EC Blends, Vape Dudes, etc. do not have this. Another thing you might consider, how much more and often do you vape vs. what you smoked? Could it be that you're getting too much nicotine? When I was playing mad scientist with one of my juices I direct dripped to taste. The juice started out at 24 mg of nic. After a while I noticed a little chest pain, dizziness, headache... It was from getting too much nicotine in my system. Once I stopped for a bit the symptoms cleared up. Still, I would be making an appointment with your doctor to rule out anything else. I hope it's an easy fix.

    Hi

Everyone has their favorite juice delivery device. Mine, when I'm not direct dripping, is the Anyvape Davide Mini with a 1.8 ohm coil. It's a bottom feeder (heating coil and wick on the bottom of the tank), so you don't have to keep tipping it to keep the wicks wet like you'll have to do with the Vivi Nova. I get mine from DiscountVaper.com. Welcome and glad you switched over!
  15. Some juices just don't work for me on some days, I figure it's just me and my taste buds acting up. When this happens I switch around to different batteries, different tanks, different flavors until I hit on one that works...until the next time when I have to switch things up again. Have to agree with Troy that the KISS method works the best.
  16. Some flavors take longer than others. I wouldn't write it off just yet. Put it aside and try it a week or even three weeks later. I've actually had a couple flavors that didn't taste good until over a month had passed, but those are pretty rare.
  17. My epic disaster for today involves my kitchen. Just finished cooking meals for the entire work week and my poor kitchen looked it. Thankfully, it's not anything vaping related.
  18. But you must also have the Coffee juice. Breakfast isn't complete without the coffee.
  19. No Dunkin' Donuts in my little town but we have lots of red bulls...brown bulls, light brown cows... Living out here in Colorado, ranchers have lots of livestock. Lol.
  20. I think it would be kinder to myself to just let the zombies get me...
  21. Got my first four or five from Gotvapes.com http://www.gotvapes.com/index.php?zenid=2d4e30903f8847ba6cc8f70e7e20a513&main_page=advanced_search_result&x=0&y=0&keyword=Vision+Spinner&dfrom=mm%2Fdd%2Fyyyy&dto=mm%2Fdd%2Fyyyy Looks like they have several that are sold out but still have some in stock although they're a few dollars more than Discount Vapers. They also have coils in stock in all ohms. Got my black 1300 from Brian at The Veteran Vaper http://www.gotvapes.com/index.php?zenid=2d4e30903f8847ba6cc8f70e7e20a513&main_page=advanced_search_result&x=0&y=0&keyword=Vision+Spinner&dfrom=mm%2Fdd%2Fyyyy&dto=mm%2Fdd%2Fyyyy He also has replacement coils available and the best customer service around.
  22. That seems awfully expensive -- even for a B&M. Mine carries the genuine Kangor coils in a 5-pack for $8.99. That seems reasonable considering there's no shipping costs. Their juice, however, goes for $11.99 for a 15 ml, which is too high for my liking.
  23. You can actually steep it either way - with the lid on or off. I've found it steeps better (for me), when I take the lid off while steeping.
  24. I got one like that from my local B&M and promptly took it back. Same with two of them that had squishy buttons.
