  1. Also, if you're not already, increase your water intake amount. Vaping dehydrates you and that will make it hard to taste anything.
  2. No handle but has a cute latch. Got it. As for the "portable" transistor radio...aren't those the ones that used the 9 volt rectangular batteries that didn't last for squat? Nope. I must be too young to remember those, certainly didn't have two or three of them in my time. *whistles innocently*
  3. From everything I've read about what comes in the kit, the carrying case they're referring to is the black box with a handle that the VTR and tank come in. There is no holster that hooks on a belt included. That needs to be purchases separately.
  4. Since I'm fairly new to rebuilding coils some of the other more experienced members would give you a more accurate answer. For me, that's when I would tell you that an ohm meter/checker would come in handy so you can test your coil to see what ohm you have it wrapped at.
  5. http://www.discountvapers.com/kanger-protank-coil-heads/ Discount Vapers has 5-pack of coils at a great price. If I were you I'd go with either 1.8 ohm or 2.2 ohm heads. If you can swing it I'd get one of each and try them both out to see which one works better for you. With the 2.2 ohms you can use higher voltage without the burned taste much easier.
  6. Four wraps on top and three on the bottom? If so, that's probably why you're getting a burned taste to your juices. The ohms are too low that even the Spinner can't go low enough on the voltage. If you must rebuild your own coils, I'd go 5/4 at the minimum. Five on top, four on the bottom. I'd even go 6/5 to get a higher resistance so you can use a higher voltage without getting the burnt taste.
  7. Especially as a newbie, it's important to check the ohms of your coils when rebuilding. Safety and all that. How many wraps are you using on the coils? At this point I would suggest you use premade coils to start with so you can begin vaping and stick with it. Once you're more experienced, then you can rebuild your own. Just my two cents.
  8. Yeah, and those old pagers were about as heavy as the VTR. Lol.
  9. These days, if I'm not somewhere I can direct drip into my HH.357 atomizers, I use the Davide Mini. The DM gives me the closest flavor to what I get from direct dripping and no plastic taste.
  10. You say you're building your own coils? What ohms are you showing after you build them? Also, at what voltage are you vaping?
  11. I don't mind waiting, and the site said the wait isn't that long. Either way, it's not that I actually need the mod so if I get it by Christmas it's all good.
  12. This is a red Vision Spinner 1300 mAh. http://www.discountvapers.com/vision-spinner-1300mah-red/ Perhaps your girlfriend would prefer something that's not quite as big and heavy as a mod to start with? The Spinner is a great battery, it's variable voltage only but is a great workhorse of a battery.
  13. $16.95 but it's red plastic... http://www.vapealotshop.com/Red-BOLT-smoktech_p_50.html
  14. http://www.hoosierecig.com/Smok-Tech-BOLT-18650-size_p_113.html They said they have it in stock. Ha! Great minds and all that, Jeff.
  15. Oh look! http://www.myvaporstore.com/The_BOLT_ECIG_by_SMOKTech_p/tbsk.htm Amazing what Google can do.
  16. Enjoy your mum's sugar cookies while you can. You can "be good" about them at a later date.
  17. Hmmm. I wonder if the heat interacting with the liquid is the reason why direct dripping gives the best flavor since you're dripping liquid directly on the heating coil? I'd think yes.
  18. Yep, no sweet tooth here. *munches on a frosted sugar cookie*
  19. And it should have all the power of a VTR with the battery lasting as long as a 3400 18650. Oh. And it should only cost around $20...
  20. No clue on the carrying case. Guess I'll find out when it gets here.
  21. You're welcome. And I could use the work out.
  22. Bit the bullet and ordered a VTR from Coast2Coast for $74.99 plus s&h. Now, let's see if it'll beat Santa here.
  23. Went with the Stainless Steel at Coast2Coast at $74.99 plus priority shipping. Missed getting it for $69.99 - the sale price they had yesterday. *sighs*
  24. How does $15.85 sound? http://www.myvaporstore.com/Innokin_iTaste_Leather_Holster_p/ink-lh.htm
