  1. In my experiences with Pro Tank 2 and Davide minis, the coils that come with the tanks are junk 90% of the time. I don't think they're fake, just junk. Like Bcarter I've just started taking the things out and set them aside, then put in a fresh coil from a 5-pack to save myself the frustration.
  2. And what works for one person may not work for another, which is why it's a good thing to have many different opinions and options given.
  3. I've got 8 Spinners (3 1300 and the rest are all 900 mAh) and one 1100 Twist as well as a K100 and Evic with a VTR on its way. Talk about rotation. Lol.
  4. I'd find a way to put numbers on them to help you keep track.
  5. He probably had the voltage set too high for that particular juice. If he dialed it back down it might've worked better for him. If you go to the shop, ask to try a variable voltage. Start at the lowest setting and vape. If it's not "good" for you, turn it up, vape again and keep turning it up a little at a time until you get a burnt taste or harsh vape, then turn it back down until it tastes good to you. Everyone has their own individual "sweet spot" so you'll have to play around to find yours.
  6. Not necessarily. Some juices like more heat while others taste better with a cooler temperature. A 1.8 ohm coil is going to run hotter because the resistance is lower. The lower the number/ohm, the easier it is for the electricity from your battery to get to the heating coil. The higher the number/ohm, the more resistance the electricity is going to encounter on its way to heat up the coil making the vape more cool. I'll stop right there and let the guys who can be more articulate about it explain more. My language and comprehension skills seem to have deserted me this morning. Unless you're doing something drastically wrong I doubt you'll have to worry too much about blowing out your batts.
  7. It's been so long since I've used my eGo-Ts that don't have variable voltage, how do 2.5 ohm coils work on those? I'm not even sure I've ever used a 2.5 on one.
  8. From the first bottles that I bought from Fuzion, which were terrific, to the second, bigger bottle I ordered, they changed something so the juice just doesn't taste the same. I loved the way it tasted the first time around. The second bottle? Not so much. Since you've not had their juices before you might like it, though.
  9. Well, crap, Jeff. I shouldn't try commenting on anything until I'm sufficiently topped up with coffee. I was reading several different threads at the same time and not paying attention. Sorry, Marianne. I gave you the wrong information. Listen to Jeff, he won't steer you wrong.
  10. Sorry, no. Those go to the T3S and MT3S, which are totally different from the Pro Tanks. I know it gets confusing because of all the acronyms. The Kangor Pro Tank (2 & 3) are calle KPT+whatever number. The coils you bought go into something like this: http://www.discountvapers.com/kanger-t3s-rebuildable-clearomizer-2-5ohm-green/ I linked you to the green one. As far as I know Kangor hasn't released any of the replacement coils for the KPT3 yet. We're all still waiting...
  11. First, I would like to ask you not to call it "smoking" because of all the negative connotations that word brings out. We're trying to distance ourselves from that because vaping is so very different. The replacement coils you bought from ebay, did they say they were specifically for the Kangor Pro Tank 3? The KPT3 uses dual coil not single coil like the original Pro Tank and Pro Tank 2. The single and dual coils are not interchangeable. The color of the tank won't make a difference to anything other than it looks different. Because the Vivi Nova is a top coil (meaning the coil sits on the top of the tank), and uses a long wick and the Pro Tanks (1, 2 and 3) have the coils at the bottom, your juice will taste different in each one. Also, and this could just be me, but the Vivi Nova's tank is made out of plastic while the Pro Tanks are Pyrex glass. I've found that juices taste better in glass tanks -- to me. Everyone tastes things differently so it could be a different experience for you. The higher the number of ohms, the higher the resistance so you'll get a cooler vape from the 2.2 ohm coils on your eGo-T than if you used a 1.8 ohm coil. The variable voltage batteries like the eGo Twist or the Vision Spinner (we won't go into mods at this point), can compensate by allowing you to turn up the heat (voltage) for different resistance in coils. With your battery, however, it's fixed at 3.7 volts so you'll probably want to stick with 1.8 - 2.2 ohm coils. I wouldn't go any higher and expect it to work well for you, though. Did any of that help answer your questions?
  12. Let us know how it works out for you.
  13. Just my two cents, but I always do a full charge when I get new batteries. Then, I'd put them to the side until needed. Personally, I use all of my Spinners on a rotation.
  14. If you only use a drop or two I've found it doesn't dilute the flavor too much to notice. I tried adding PG to the last batch of OrangeZilla I got from Fuzion but it didn't help.
  15. Maybe try a higher resistance coil like a 2.2 ohm?
  16. Okay, so it's probably not that. What ohm coil are you using? What kind of battery are you using? Is it variable voltage? We'll try the process of elimination to try to figure out what's causing this.
  17. If you don't have any PG available I've used a few drops of distilled water into the juice. It works to thin it out just fine. Try a little in a separate bottle so you can figure out if this works for you or not without wasting the whole bottle of juice though.
  18. Do you know what the PG/VG ratio is on the juice? It might be too thick to allow the wick to absorb it well.
  19. I'd give it a try in the Evod, maybe just fill a little under half the tank just in case it's not to your liking yet. Only you will be able to tell if it's where you want it to be.
  20. I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. You can have the steak that was thrown into the coals. I prefer mine without the extra fiber, thanks.
  21. While I'm not a chemist, the heat from hot water versus just dripping directly onto a hotter coil just isn't the same. It's like saying that a steak thrown into the coals to cook is the same as one cooked by placing it on a grill over the coals. It's a similar principle but doesn't work the same.
  22. That's not true. There are some juices that must be steeped or the taste is awful. As for the Dragon Series, these are pretty good out of the mailbox but the flavor deepens and subtle flavors come out with steeping -- this can be pretty "dramatic" with some of them.
  23. You could always speed steep it. Place juice bottle into a zip lock baggie, get as much air out as possible. Place into a bowl of hot water (not boiling hot, just as hot as it comes out of the tap). Put something semi-heavy on top to make the bottles sink into the hot water. Let sit until water cools. Dump out water, do it again a couple of times shaking bottles between water changes. That usually will steep it for you. This isn't quite as good as just letting time do its thing but it gets close. The zip lock baggie is so the labels on your bottles don't get all wet. If you don't care about that, then you can just put the bottles into the hot water.
