Shall we play 'let's pretend', okay? Let's pretend that this was really a serious study done by impartial scientists... I'll wait until you stop laughing and can catch your breath. How many of these people who would quit would remain off cigarettes one month later? Six months later? Anyone want to take a stab at one year later? If I were a betting woman my money would be on "most of them would go back to smoking as soon as the idiot stop smoking zealots turned their backs".

Hi Brenda. Welcome to Vapor Talk! You've come to the right place to ask questions. More than likely you'll get more answers than you thought you wanted. Vaping is a very personal thing. What's right and "perfect" for one person will be the worst for another. Only you will be able to judge what's "best" for you. A lot of it is trial and error, but that's also half the fun. From what you wrote about the ENCORE e-cig, it's not a good one. You have to wait for the coils to cool down after four draws? Um...no. If all e-cigs were like that I'd still be smoking. When I get going on one and have the time I can chain vape for an hour or more before getting the feeling that I've gotten too much nicotine and have to stop for a bit. My set-up would still go as long as it's got a charge -- and that's what it should do. I've been vaping for a little over a year and a half now so my arsenal has grown to embarrassing proportions (for me). My go-to would be the Vision Spinner variable voltage battery. It's a great beginner's one, in my opinion, because it's easy, has just enough bells and whistles so you can customize it a bit and can grow into it, is a workhorse and should last you for a good long time. I would get two for each person so one can be used while the other is charging. Always have back ups. And back ups of back ups so you don't have to go without should something happen. With the Spinner, get a charger and add a wall adapter for it. Never charge using the USB port on a laptop or computer for safety reasons. You get added protection with the wall adapter. Add a Kanger Pro Tank mini or an Anyvape Davide mini to put on your battery and at least one 5-pack of extra coils in whatever ohm level you prefer (my preference is the 1.8 - 2.2 ohm) and you'll be set once you get your juices. I'm sure others will be along soon to give you their recommendations. Good luck!

What creates a less pull 2.5 ohm coils or 1.8 ohm coils?
Tam replied to Patricia's topic in General Vaping Discussion
No. No. No, Jeff! More resistance means the battery is drained slower. -
You might try washing the atty in warm water. Blow gently from the battery connection end to get the water and residual juice out, it should flow semi-freely. Rinse again, blow again, place into vodka for several hours, rinse, blow, push a small piece of paper towel in and wait a few minutes to let the paper towel time to blot the remaining water out (tissue tends to come apart when wet so you probably don't want to use that). Then, put it on your battery. Dry burn in short two to three second bursts only. If you put too much time into each dry burn you might burn out your coil. You may see some vapor/smoke coming out. When you can see the coils heating up/turn red, stop. Add six drops of juice, let it soak in, take an unpowered draw. If it gurgles just a little you can vape normally. If it doesn't, add another drop or two. By doing this, you may be able to get the taste out of you atty. It's also possible you may wind up burning the atty out so be careful and be aware that this is a possibility before trying the above.

Kanger AeroTank (got mine yesterday)
Tam replied to HnyBear's topic in Share the Latest Vaping Products
Just a thought, how about trying to wash everything except the coil in hot water with dish washing detergent and giving it a good scrub. Other than the O-rings, the rest can take that easily without doing any damage. The O-rings might need to be replaced. Another thought is that you have the smell of Pluid in your nose so everything might still smell like it even though that smell is gone. I know when I get a whiff of something strong I feel like I smell it for the rest of the day. Just a thought. -
I thought you originally said you ordered from Vape Dudes.

None, no adverse effects at all other than having difficulties getting the flavor out. That's why many people have different atomizers for different types of flavors. They keep one for the mint/menthol types, one for fruit, one for coffees, etc. You have nothing to worry about.

Thanks for the info. A friend of mine has a GTR. It sits right next to their Caterham Seven.
-
That's pretty, Jeff. Is that a GTR?

"First class" means it is an envelope and a couple of first class stamps (maybe even three at the most). Just to be safe I'd put it into a padded envelope. Postage shouldn't cost you more than a couple dollars at the very most. I certainly wouldn't spend the extra to send it priority.
-
Unfortunately, there's little you can do regarding Paypal. Since it's such a small item I'd just send it back in an envelope. I'm sorry this happened to you. This is just poor customer service, imo. They sent you the wrong thing, they should pay shipping back, or just send you the correct one.

Frustrated with my iTaste 134
Tam replied to tooterfish's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
If you take some time to read on this forum you'll find a wealth of information here. One of the most trusted vendors is The Veteran Vaper. Brian, the owner, will answer your questions, troubleshoot any problems, and gives the very best customer service around. I've recommended him highly to many on Vapor Talk and have never heard anything but positive (rave) reviews back. You can get some 1300 mAh Vision Spinners at $24.95 here: http://www.theveteranvaper.com/vision-spinner-1300mah-variable-voltage-battery/. Don't forget to get a charger and a wall adapter for it, using the USB charger on your laptop/computer is never recommended for safety reasons. -

Also something to consider is your nicotine and PG ratios. Higher nicotine = harsher vape, more throat hit. Although PG is a great flavor carrier, it'll also produce more throat hit/harsher vape. I would start with a 50/50 PG/VG ratio and go from there. Mt. Baker Vaper has some great juices that several on this forum like. I've personally never had a juice from them that hit my happy spot although I've tried a LOT. EC Blends is my go-to supplier for e-liquids. You can customize to your heart's content and get 5 ml bottles at only $2.50 each so you can try all kinds of different flavors to see what you like best. As you add things to your juice the price does go up but only just a little. With the coupon code: 10020 you'll get 20% off your entire order for a limited time. A word of advice on EC Blends' juices though, these are made to order so they will need to steep (age) to get the best flavor on most of them. Start out by not adding a lot of things to it at first until you find out what you like. -

Personally, I prefer a manual transmission because I get so much more control of the vehicle that way. Unfortunately, I just can't push on a clutch for very long after I broke the arch in my left foot. On cold days it's just too painful. -

This is just my two cents but, as a beginner, I would set your iTaste 134 aside for a little while and pick up a couple Vision Spinners (you must have back ups). This is a variable voltage battery that has proven to be a great workhorse, not complicated, and very dependable, especially for a beginner. Pair that with an Anyvape Davide mini or a Kangor Pro Tank mini (these have a glass tank, no plastic so you shouldn't get any plastic taste), with either a 1.8 ohm or 2.2 ohm coil, your favorite juice and vape. Once you're more familiar with vaping and the various nuances of vaping, then go back to your iTaste 134. Vaping has so many different variables that it's better to start simple before getting into the fancy stuff. It's best to learn about the differences in juice: PG/VG, nicotine, what sweeteners and dark juices do to coils... What ohm coils go best with what voltages and juice, the ways to tweak your set up on the lowest levels... As with anything, you need to learn to crawl before you take off running full out. Like I said, it's just my two cents. -

Thanks for the offer, B! We'll probably take you up on it sometime down the road. The SO is currently looking at a preowned Silverado sometime this coming year or so. We're definitely a GM family. Oh! I have a question already. Why is it next to impossible to find a manual transmission on trucks anymore? Unless you're buying a one ton or a huge truck everything comes only in automatic. -
You might be surprised to find what you like. There are flavors I thought I'd love but don't and others that I would've never thought of that really hit the spot. That's the beauty of the 5 ml bottles for me, it gives me a chance to step out of the comfort zone of flavors to try new things without breaking the bank for it.
-
Happy holidays to everyone at Vapor Talk! I hope you have a wonderful holiday season and the very best for the coming year.
-
Personally, I don't know that there really is a "best" out there. It's more a matter of what's "best for YOU."
-
At $2.50 for a 5 ml bottle, it doesn't hurt the wallet if you don't like it.
-
If you do end up trying it I'd start with no added flavor to see how you like it first. For me, even though I'm usually flavor challenged, the extra flavor is too much in this one. I do, however, prefer it with double extra sweet.
-
I've never heard of ceramic wicks. Link please, this sounds interesting.

I mix it 80/20 with most of it being blueberry. To me it tastes like blueberry with a cool hint of peppermint added. Sorry, but that's as good a description as I can come up with. It's a very cool blueberry.

Depends on the type of work you do. The VTR is pretty heavy so it's not exactly portable unless you spring for the belt carrier. FLaN is not flan flavored, it's an acronym for Feels Like a Nut from EC Blends. It tastes like an Almond Joy candy bar. I've been stuck on this for nearly a year now. I get it by the 125 ml bottles. If you decide to try it I would strongly suggest letting it steep a minimum of two to three weeks, a month is even better.
