  1. Doggone you, bcarter! Just ordered a 30 ml bottle of EC Blends' Bahama Mama in 12 mg nic, 50/50 blend.
  2. Most vendors, and Gotvapes is no exception, sends an email with a tracking number so you can track your packages. I paid for priority shipping on one that's still hung up in transit because of the Christmas backlog. Even though it should have been here by Christmas eve, it's still out there...but so are millions of other packages all over the US. I figure it's no one's fault, things happen, and it'll get here eventually. According to tracking it's in Denver now.
  3. I'll definitely be buying bigger bottles of the Mellow Spice, Cinnamon Stick and the Apple Cider. These are not pre-steeped so you'll want to give them a breather and a wait but it's worth it! All flavors are at 12 mg nic, 50/50 blend. I initially tried them on the HH.357 which just knocked my socks off! They even translate very well in my Davide minis.
  4. Feh. While I was trying to edit the above review, the thing timed out on me. Thankfully, I copied the text. After reading the earlier reviews I let the Buttered Popcorn e-liquid steep for a couple of weeks before trying. The first time out it tasted just like a bowl of freshly popped buttery popcorn. At first I was skeptical that an e-liquid could get this flavor right. Wow. I'm a believer! It hits great from the first time to now (half an hour of steady vaping later). With this I don't have to worry about picking popcorn kernels out of my teeth or greasy fingers. A definite keeper. Mint Medley Original Flavor: It's a bit too heavy on the winter green flavor for me (I'm not a fan of this type of mint), but the other mint flavors in it kept me vaping this juice for quite some time. I think, if you like Life Savers' winter green, you'll love this one. Cinnamon Stick Signature Flavor: It tastes like the perfect blend of real cinnamon and a touch of sweet. After vaping this one it made me want to get a fresh, hot sopapilla and put a little honey and then sprinkle a little bit of this flavor on it. Mmmmm. All the other cinnamon flavors I've ever tried have all had that red hots candy taste to them so I was a little hesitant to try this one. It's more of a bakery type of cinnamon and utterly delicious! Could become an all day vape for me. Apple Cider Signature Flavor: Take a ripe Golden Delicious apple and add a few spices to make fresh apple cider. That's what this tastes like. Of all the apple flavors I've tried, this one tastes like a real apple to me. So much so that it makes my mouth water when I take a draw. It has a nice, smooth flavor, no one thing stands out so it's perfectly blended. Mellow Spice Signature Flavor: Just like the name, this one is mellow, it's smooth, the spices are blended so well that it will keep you vaping for a long time just trying to single out each one. This could easily become an all day vape for me, it's not a flavor that I will get tired of after a few days. Now, I just need to get some more of this... Killer Clove Signature Flavor: This one is definitely not for me. After trying to vape it for about 15 minutes my tongue went numb, it feels like when you take a spoonful of soup that's too hot and it scalds your tongue. It may be a good flavor for someone else, it just isn't a good fit for me. All the Signature flavors have little bits of things floating inside like a tiny stick of cinnamon, a ball of something else, a little floaty something else... it's what really makes these flavors stand out from others.

  6. Chris said that he had his hands full doing things and to remind him about it after the holidays -- I'm thinking sometime in January. That Compenstine's posts can be liked is an early happy coincidence. Now, go sit in the corner over there and try to be patient.
  7. A Vision Eternity does allow you to direct drip. The set up is such that you have to get a very small diameter of wire to build the coil for it. So far I haven't been able to find one that fits it just right.
  8. Nearly all tanks will gurgle or leak at some point depending on the coil at the time. If I remember correctly, it performed okay, I just get much better flavor from the Davides. I experienced more flavor muting from the Aspire. YMMV, however.
  9. Just me, but I'd be inclined to go with the Davide mini just because I'd need to change out the coils and their price. I have a couple of Aspire Bottom coils, don't know if it's the same one you're looking at. They're...okay, but not something I use regularly particularly because of the price of the coils and the Davide mini performs better for me.
  10. Actually, there is an airflow adjuster for the Kanger Pro Tanks, it's just not made by Kanger. I don't remember where I got mine but I've had it for over three weeks now and it works perfectly.
  11. The eGo Twist and the Vision Spinner are essentially the same, just made by different companies. I prefer the Vision Spinner because the numbers are much easier to see so I know what voltage I'm using with just a glance. The Twist's numbers are etched into the metal and are very hard to see for me. I'd add either a Kangor Pro Tank 2 or an Anyvape Davide mini with 1.8 ohm or 2.2 ohm coils. The Davide mini is my preferred tank when I'm not direct dripping, it gives great performance, imo. Add some e-liquid at 18 or 24 mg of nicotine and start with a 50 PG/50 VG ratio would be my recommendation. I was a pack a day Marlboro Light smoker when I went to vaping. The 24 mg of nic helped get me over the rough spots and it didn't take very long at all before I went down to 12 mg of nicotine. YMMV.
  12. All too often we've gotten new members who are here to sell something, goober, then we never hear from them again. We've even had a few bad apples who took the money and never sent the product so forgive us if we're a little wary of newcomers selling goods. Stick around, get to know us better (and us, you), and you'll have a better chance at selling your wares.
  13. Hey, Jeff? I just rechecked the forum rules and there's nothing that states you need a minimum of 10 posts before you can put something up on the classifieds thread. Maybe add that for future reference?
  14. Quite a few years ago I made a New Year's resolution: Never make anymore New Year's resolutions. So far, so good. I finally figured out that I was only setting myself up to fail even if I would've done that resolution on my own. Just knowing the resolution was there made me want to break it.
  15. We see a lot of new vapers on this forum who start out smoking and vaping, trading off from one to the other for some time before they gradually go with vaping altogether. Like mcquinn said, it's not an all or nothing type of thing. You can vape and smoke and let things happen naturally. For me, when I started vaping, I gave myself permission to do both. It only took five days before I was totally off the cigarettes and didn't want them anymore. Since then, I've picked up a whole new hobby: vaping. Yes, there are a lot of new things to learn. Even those of us who have been vaping for some time now still learn new things all the time. Don't stress out that you haven't made the switch right away. That kind of thinking will only make it worse, imo. Take a count of how many cigarettes you usually smoke in a day. Then, count out that many cigarettes for yourself on day one. Vape when you want to. At the end of the day count the remaining cigarettes. How many less did you smoke that day? Keep a smoking diary so you can see the progress. If you slip, no big deal, start again the next day. As time goes by you'll find that your cigarette count goes down. Stay with it. You've got the start part down by getting some good, quality stuff from Brian. Great move there, by the way. You can't do better than Brian at The Veteran Vaper. We'll be here with you every step of the way. In the mean time go through the threads of this forum and read everything you can starting with the pinned threads. You'll learn so much there.
  16. Shall we play 'let's pretend', okay? Let's pretend that this was really a serious study done by impartial scientists... I'll wait until you stop laughing and can catch your breath. How many of these people who would quit would remain off cigarettes one month later? Six months later? Anyone want to take a stab at one year later? If I were a betting woman my money would be on "most of them would go back to smoking as soon as the idiot stop smoking zealots turned their backs".
  17. Hi Brenda. Welcome to Vapor Talk! You've come to the right place to ask questions. More than likely you'll get more answers than you thought you wanted. Vaping is a very personal thing. What's right and "perfect" for one person will be the worst for another. Only you will be able to judge what's "best" for you. A lot of it is trial and error, but that's also half the fun. From what you wrote about the ENCORE e-cig, it's not a good one. You have to wait for the coils to cool down after four draws? Um...no. If all e-cigs were like that I'd still be smoking. When I get going on one and have the time I can chain vape for an hour or more before getting the feeling that I've gotten too much nicotine and have to stop for a bit. My set-up would still go as long as it's got a charge -- and that's what it should do. I've been vaping for a little over a year and a half now so my arsenal has grown to embarrassing proportions (for me). My go-to would be the Vision Spinner variable voltage battery. It's a great beginner's one, in my opinion, because it's easy, has just enough bells and whistles so you can customize it a bit and can grow into it, is a workhorse and should last you for a good long time. I would get two for each person so one can be used while the other is charging. Always have back ups. And back ups of back ups so you don't have to go without should something happen. With the Spinner, get a charger and add a wall adapter for it. Never charge using the USB port on a laptop or computer for safety reasons. You get added protection with the wall adapter. Add a Kanger Pro Tank mini or an Anyvape Davide mini to put on your battery and at least one 5-pack of extra coils in whatever ohm level you prefer (my preference is the 1.8 - 2.2 ohm) and you'll be set once you get your juices. I'm sure others will be along soon to give you their recommendations. Good luck!
  18. No. No. No, Jeff! More resistance means the battery is drained slower.
  19. You might try washing the atty in warm water. Blow gently from the battery connection end to get the water and residual juice out, it should flow semi-freely. Rinse again, blow again, place into vodka for several hours, rinse, blow, push a small piece of paper towel in and wait a few minutes to let the paper towel time to blot the remaining water out (tissue tends to come apart when wet so you probably don't want to use that). Then, put it on your battery. Dry burn in short two to three second bursts only. If you put too much time into each dry burn you might burn out your coil. You may see some vapor/smoke coming out. When you can see the coils heating up/turn red, stop. Add six drops of juice, let it soak in, take an unpowered draw. If it gurgles just a little you can vape normally. If it doesn't, add another drop or two. By doing this, you may be able to get the taste out of you atty. It's also possible you may wind up burning the atty out so be careful and be aware that this is a possibility before trying the above.
  20. Just a thought, how about trying to wash everything except the coil in hot water with dish washing detergent and giving it a good scrub. Other than the O-rings, the rest can take that easily without doing any damage. The O-rings might need to be replaced. Another thought is that you have the smell of Pluid in your nose so everything might still smell like it even though that smell is gone. I know when I get a whiff of something strong I feel like I smell it for the rest of the day. Just a thought.
  21. I thought you originally said you ordered from Vape Dudes.
  22. None, no adverse effects at all other than having difficulties getting the flavor out. That's why many people have different atomizers for different types of flavors. They keep one for the mint/menthol types, one for fruit, one for coffees, etc. You have nothing to worry about.
  23. Thanks for the info. A friend of mine has a GTR. It sits right next to their Caterham Seven.
