  1. My SO sent me this link. The story is very touching. I've been "touching" lots of tissues... http://funkypickens.com/if-you-only-read-one-thing-today-read-this/
  2. It could be any number of things, anything from a bad coil (seems quite a few people have been having issues with the coils lately so it very well could've been a bad batch), to knock off coils and not the genuine Kanger brand, to clogged air holes, etc.
  3. Especially in a long wick tank like a Vivi Nova, it's much too thick to be able to wick properly, I think.
  4. At 95% VG the juice could be too thick to soak into the wick fast enough. That could be why you're tasting burnt juice. You might try adding a couple of drops of distilled water to thin it out a little. I'd drop it directly into the tank and not into the whole bottle in case it doesn't work out for you or put a little into a separate bottle so you don't waste the whole thing. Putting it into a separate bottle you can also add more juice if you thin it out too much. You can also buy just plain PG to add to your juice to thin it out as well.
  5. Congrats on your switch to vaping, Gonzo! You did good in reading all the threads first, it saves a lot of time in the long run because you've already "seen" what advice others got as well as tips and tricks. Vaping is a personal thing, imo. You do what's right for you, and only you can tell what that is. When you're ready or wish to, you step down your nic level. I was a pack a day smoker of Marlboro Lights for more years than I want to admit to. At first I started out with 24 mg liquid so I could make the switch. Soon after that I went down to 18 mg because the 24 had gotten too strong for me. Now I vape anything from 12 mg to even 0 sometimes but mostly stick to 12 and I'm happy right there. Some day I might venture into staying on 6 or 8 or lower but I'm in no hurry.
  6. Isn't it rather telling that you knew how to spell "quiche" correctly?
  7. Manly men, the really confident men who are secure in their manly manliness do.
  8. More PG and/or higher nic content = more throat hit. You can also get more throat hit by using a low resistance atomizer/coil like a 1.5 ohm or 1.8 ohm.
  9. Oh please. REAL men aren't afraid to risk their manliness by vaping foofy flavors.
  10. Seriously, watch this video. PBusardo shows you how to use the VTR and it's easy the way he explains it.
  11. If you want quality merchandise with even better customer service, you might try The Veteran Vaper. Brian, the store owner, gives the very best customer service and he backs up all of his sales. I've recommended him often to VT members and I've never heard anyone say anything different. He's good at making people happy.
  12. EC Blends' Feels Like a Nut (FLaN) in my HH.357. Mmmmmm
  13. Since I switched to vaping I've only had one (or was it two?) sinus infections and one sore throat. When this happens I switched over to the blueberry with some peppermint thrown in to smooth it out. I can certainly taste the peppermint and it helps with the sore throat. I like this blend so much I've added it to my daily rotation.
  14. The three extra long stainless steel drip tips I ordered from Madvapes just came in. :bounce: I LOVE them!!! Two have rather squishy O-rings that I'll probably want to replace if I can't get them broken in properly, but I love the way the mouth pieces feel. I've never been fond of large mouth pieces because it makes me feel like I'm trying to wind my lips around a cigar. These are on the narrow side, the tips are around 2 1/2 inches long so it gives off a slightly cooler vape with no chance of getting the juice in your mouth. The jury is out right now for which one I like the most...
  15. Hi! The link that Spydre gave you is an atomizer that I recommend to new drippers. There are many different styles, types, lengths, ohms, etc. Only you will be able to say which one works best for you. It's mostly trial and error. Kitsune, who helped me immensely when I first started dripping, loves the 306 style of atomizer. These days I'm strictly a Custom HH.357 Cisco Spec Hybrid in a 510 style at 2.0 ohm but I wouldn't recommend it to someone who is new to it. There's a learning curve on these even with experienced drippers and, at $24.99 each, it's an expensive way to figure out if dripping is for you or not. Some people feel like it's too high maintenance and a pain to drip. Others only use it to taste new juices while others, like me, drip exclusively except when we're out and about and can't drip. Friends don't let friends drip and drive...
  16. You don't have to use the beauty ring at all with the VTR, there's an extender so you can use tanks that don't fit in the ring. The full sized Davide and KPT2/KPT3 all fit perfectly inside the original ring that's a part of the VTR body so they're well protected.
  17. That is so irresponsible of the school to be dispersing this kind of unfounded, unresearched propaganda. And to do it to kids. *huffs*
  18. Because of its shape I can easily just have it in my hand even when I have a crapton of stuff moving from one room to another. It also fits into the back pocket of my jeans but it's pretty heavy there. On the inside of my purse there's a side pocket. That's what I put it in when I go out but mostly I just use it at home while I'm at my desk/computer. Otherwise, I use my Spinners with the Davide mini when I'm out and about.
  19. Way back when I moved from San Diego to Alaska in early September going from 110 in the shade to lower 60s. I had my parka on and my lips were blue when I stepped off the plane. The people there were running around in shorts and tank tops complaining of the heat.
  20. I'm not getting what you mean by "thumb action" on the VTR. The only thing I use my thumb on is to use it to hold on to the VTR. The button is very soft and easy to push. Well, I've only started on my first cup of coffee so lack of sufficient amounts of caffeine could be affecting my cognizant functions.
  21. You'll have to try some of their juice and let us know how it is. Hopefully, the juice isn't half as annoying as their website.
  22. You have a real Empire Mod -- mod? How much do you want for it?
  23. Where did you see that bit of information? It's working fine for me, it's just the "you must hover your pointer in order to get a drop down menu that will make a pop up appear" that's irritating.
  24. I love the K100 so much, next time Empire Mods has the genuine original ones for sale I'm going to have to get one.
