I use different tips on my Davide mini all the time. They come with a metal tip (don't know if they're stainless steel or not). I get my stainless steel from several different places but my favorites are Empire Mod (make sure they're 510 or 901 compatible. http://www.empiremods.com/category_s/48.htm?searching=Y&sort=5&cat=48&show=100&page=1 I love the long steel pipe drip tips from Madvapes.com for direct dripping http://www.madvapes.com/pv-parts/dripper-tips/510-808-901.html or the Pyrex tips at gotvapes.com http://www.gotvapes.com/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&x=0&y=0&keyword=Picolo&dfrom=mm%2Fdd%2Fyyyy&dto=mm%2Fdd%2Fyyyy

Yeah, you better hide, Medic! Haven't had any time to play with them. Personal issues have come up that are going to keep me busy for some time to come.

Just in -- 18 1-dram glass bottles with glass drippers 20 2-dram bottles with glass drippers from Specialty Bottles. Also got my new ohm meter (last one crapped out pretty much right out of the box). Won't build coils without one and I don't trust using my Evic to test coil builds.

Your 80/20 mix, is that 80 PG/20 VG? Also, what kind of tank are you using? If you can replace the coil that should get rid of your burnt taste problem once your juice is back up to room temperature.

Vision Spinner flashing after a hit
Tam replied to Tam's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
So far it seems to be working fine since I recharged it but I'll also be ordering the Spinner v2 when it comes out. Always need back ups for my back ups. -
In the past when I was using clearomizers with a plastic tank I've had them crack from too much acidity but never go opaque. Even with the tank crackers I've used plastic tips and only had one break on me. Since then I've gone to using glass tanks so I can use any flavor without worry (like the full sized and mini Anyvape Davide and Kanger Pro Tank 2 & 3). With these I use either stainless steel tips or Pyrex glass. Like Compenstine said, I'd be very hesitant about vaping the juice from the current tank. You don't know what changes were made in the plastic that made it turn opaque. I'd be very careful about vaping it. Just my two cents.

Vision Spinner flashing after a hit

Mine does too, but the draws were only around 5 - 6 seconds max, which is why I noticed this strange behavior. -
Vision Spinner flashing after a hit

If memory serves correctly it lasted well over a year of some pretty constant use so it did very well. Shortly after I posted this last night I got the 14 flashes that told me it needed to be recharged. Cleaned up the battery post area, put it on the charger, let it rest after and now it's working just like normal. I'll keep a close watch on it to see if it does weird things again, though. Strange. What did you hear, Bebop? Do we have a firm date yet? Last I heard it was to be sometime in April. -
Oh yeah. I get plenty of vapor from a 50/50 mix. Sometimes I have to fan away the cloud when I'm chain vaping. More VG = more vapor More PG = less vapor

I also love my VTR!

Here's something I've never seen in any of my Spinners before. I push the button but it doesn't light up while I take a draw. It's working okay, though. After I release the button it flashes three times. Has anyone else ever encountered this before? If so, what does it mean? This is the second Vision Spinner I bought so it's over a year old with constant use in rotation with about three other 1300 mAh Spinners. Could very well be that it's reached its end of life cycle but I'm rather curious about the three flashes after I let go of the button.

We are using 80/20 pg/VG we ordered these from mount baker vapor. They are extremely rough on the throat. So next time I was thinking of ordering 65/35 ratio. Would that take some of the throat hit away. Yes. Higher VG = more vapor, thicker juices, gunks up wicks a little faster, a tad bit sweeter, smoother throat hit Higher PG = thinner juice, harsher throat hit, less vapor Does lower pg ratio make you have to draw harder? Does it burn your attys out faster? I've never noticed any difference in how hard I have to draw despite higher or lower PG levels. My main preference is a 50/50 blend. What would be the difference between 65/35 to 50/50 and what are some of the disadvantages of running 50/50 over an 80/20 mix? See above. I am running now Halo Sub zero flavor on a 1.8 ohm on 3.8 volts. I'm not sure what the pg to VG ratio is but it still irritates my throat. You never said what nic level you're vaping. A higher nicotine amount also tends to give a harsher vape. Since you're just now starting out I would recommend staying at an 18 or 24 mg of nicotine until you're off the analogs for a bit. Then, if you want to you can begin lowering your nic levels. What would be the best voltage to run a 50/50 liquid? I can only go up to 4.2 Depends on the juice, what resistance atomizer you're using... You say you're using a 1.8 ohm coil so I'd start at around 3.7 volts. Vape. If it's not quite what you're looking for, turn it up a little. Vape. Lather, rinse, repeat as necessary until you get a slight burnt taste. Turn it down just a touch. That should be the sweet spot for that juice. Each flavor may need a different voltage. In my experience I find that fruit flavors like a lower voltage while bakery and coffee flavors like it a little hotter. YMMV. Good luck!

Heh. I just call them...mine.

I'm not a noob but I'm still learning new things every day! I thought mods were APV and mechanicals. What makes a mod a mod?

The SS isn't a fingerprint magnet, is it?

It could be that Velvet Cloud Vapors is just not a good fit for you. Juices are so subjective because everyone tastes things in a different way. What tastes great to one person will taste terrible for another. This does not mean a vendor is bad and should not be recommended to others. Now, if they give bad customer service, doesn't deliver the item as advertised, etc. then you can say they're a "bad" vendor. If you don't like their product, that's your opinion and we all have them. As we get off analogs our taste buds begin to heal so the juices we don't like today we might tomorrow. Also, delivery systems will make a huge difference in how a juice tastes. There are some I only use in a tank (like an Anyvape Davide mini), but they taste terrible if I direct drip. Others taste so good in my RDA but taste bland in a tank or direct dripping atomizer. It's all a matter of preference IMO.

No. I never said you had to listen to anything I say. And I am butane challenged. There's nothing wrong with my knowledge of vaping. That's a whole different category in and of itself.
-
Oh, make no mistake. I am butane challenged. Just not this time. Lol!

I'm confused help me figure this out please

Or bread ties... Just kidding. -
The reason why it was sputtering all over the place when I tried to fill it was because it was already full. I didn't realize they sold them pre-filled.
-
That's what I've experienced. With my RDA, when I tried dripping 12 mg, it affected me as if I were vaping 24 out of a tank.
-
Despite having some mods and APVs, the Spinner is still my go-to battery. It's always consistent and performs flawlessly every time. The RDA that I've been fighting with lately with its super harsh hits? It's smooth as a baby's butt on the Spinner. I'll be in line for the Spinner 2 so watch out, Bebop! I've got my pad on and ready to fight you for them.

Ugh. In my experience my Evic is an over-priced paper weight. I've been very underwhelmed with it and its lackluster performance. YMMV.
