  1. Here's to your "Adventures in on-the-road vaping" or "How I tried every vapor related shop in my travels." Looking for vapor stores every time you stop might make having to stay over somewhere a bit more pleasant.
  2. OMG! I can't wait until you get it where you want it, Comp. *drools* It's amazing that I can vape chocolate when I can't eat it due to being allergic to it.
  3. You could go with an eGo Twist or a Vision Spinner. My personal preference is the 1300 mAh Vision Spinner. That should last you all day and it's a very portable battery. The only real difference between the Twist and the Spinner is that you can see the numbers on the Spinner much more easily than you can on the eGo Twist. I'd recommend buying the Spinner from Brian at The Veteran Vaper. He has great prices and even better customer service. http://www.theveteranvaper.com/vision-spinner-1300mah-variable-voltage-battery/
  4. They had to lower the maximum limit of coils you can order due to wholesellers abusing the 10 pack limit. It's not a big deal, I just make two orders. The shipping cost is minimal. Sweet-Vapes doesn't get my business anymore so I go elsewhere.
  5. From Discountvaper.com got four more Anyvape Davide minis before they switch to ones that only take Aspire coils. Also got five more 5-packs of 1.8 ohm Pro Tank coils. In today's vape mail I got five more 5-packs of 1.8 ohm KPT coils. Had to make two orders of five 5-packs since they started limiting how many you could order at one time. Me and the friends who can't order online are now set for quite some time.
  6. If nothing else you now have a cool looking paper weight -- just like me! I much prefer my mech mods better than I ever did the Evic. Or the Magneto, it's such a great mod. OMG.
  7. Vaping is a very personal and subjective thing so what works for me may or may not work for you. These are some things I learned along the way, hopefully something here might work well for you. The higher the PG level in a juice will give you a harder throat hit. The flavor can also affect it as well. Things with higher cinnamon, citrus flavors, some tobacco flavors, etc. will give a harsher throat hit than say something of a bakery flavor will. Also, the higher the nicotine content will also give a harder throat hit. The 12, 18 and 24 are most likely telling you how much nicotine your juice has. Those are very common numbers. 12 mg of nic is the equivalent to a light cigarette while 24 is more of the full flavored cigarette. These are just loose estimates but something to start with. If you're buying juice from a local vendor and they mix right there. Ask them what PG/VG levels are in their juice. You might want to increase the PG. Keep in mind: More PG = thinner juice, more throat hit, better flavor delivery More VG = thicker juice, smoother vape with less throat hit, more vapor, slightly sweeter flavor There's a LOT of information here on the forum. We also have some super nice people who are all wanting to help and who have been where you are now. Take a look at the pinned topics first and you'll get more info than you probably wanted. Lol.
  8. You didn't mention what ohm coil you're using in the KPT3 or what PG/VG ratio or nic level your juice is. All those things play into the amount of throat hit you get. It's not so much about voltage. More voltage than 4.8 volts will likely just give you a burnt taste depending on the other things I mentioned above (coil resistance, PG/VG and nic level). If you want to save the juice left in your tank you can pour it into a container but use a new one. Never pour it back into the original bottle of juice to mix with what's in there. Oh. Nearly forgot! Welcome to VT.

This probably seems obvious, but why don't you want to pull cotton through a nano build?
  10. Now, you really need to go through Fadora's stock of different juices. Also try Five Pawns. So many flavors and different things to try when you get into vaping. That's what makes it fun!
  11. Five Pawns' Queenside. It tastes almost exactly like what Fuzion's Orangezilla used to before they changed their recipe. SO glad to have found a replacement for that! Even at $27.50 a bottle it's worth it.
  12. Deckyon beat me to it! I was going to suggest you start drinking more water. Dehydration gives me a headache every time. Water, and plenty of it, takes it away. It also brings back my taste buds so I can taste things better.
  13. Oh no! Tessie lost her head??? And to add insult to injury you were forced to use an Evic for that time. My condolences and glad you got your new VTR.
  14. Let me see if the braincell is working this morning without the benefit of my first full cup of coffee. The higher the ohm means the higher the resistance so it'll need more power to make it hotter. The lower the ohm means lower resistance so you'll need less power to heat the coil.
  15. http://www.ecblendflavors.com/an-o-chocolate-mint-100-vg-eliquid-flavor/ Keep in mind that this is an all 100% VG liquid. If it's too thick you can add a drop of distilled water to thin it a bit. I'd do this per tank or in a separate bottle that way you won't get it too thin. Easier to put more in than to take it out. There's also a create your own. http://www.ecblendflavors.com/create-your-own/ Or you can look for a fine dark chocolate and get a separate peppermint and mix your own. I've found that chocolate juices need some steeping time to bring out the full flavor. YMMV.
  16. As you've probably heard us say a million times: juice is subjective. For me it tastes closer to a milk chocolate or a mild dark chocolate and coconut with a hint of almond in the exhale. It might taste different for you. I'd go with a small 5 ml bottle to see if you like it first before getting a bigger bottle. These past dozen orders or so I get mine by the 125 ml.
  17. Our Compenstine is fast but even he's not that fast! Lol.
  18. If you get that, I would recommend not getting extra flavor, just go with the regular and it will need at least a week to steep before it gets really good. A month and it's mouth wateringly good!
  19. He's very lucky to have a friend like you.
  20. How many times did you try to quit smoking when you weren't really ready nor did you really want to? I know I did dozens of times. I knew I should quit so I'd tried but always went back to smoking. Only when he's really ready and wants to for the right (for him) reasons, will he stop looking to find roadblocks. He knows you vape. He knows you'll be there to help when he wants it. Now, you need to stop saying anything more to him and just let him see how it's helping you without you saying anything more. Answer his questions if he has them but nothing more. If you say more he'll see it as you pushing him into vaping. How many times have you told a kid not to do something and they rush off to do just that? Same principle. It's hard to keep patience and harder yet not to say anything when you're living proof that it works, that it will help you feel better. Good luck to you! I hope he comes around sooner rather than later.
  21. Congrats! And things like this is why Big Pharma and Big Tobacco are trying to get e-cigs off the market. Gotta love all the benefits to our health, huh?
  22. Thank you and congratulations! I've heard it time and time again how vapers are able to either lower their dosage or get off certain meds altogether after they've been vaping for awhile. My fingers are crossed that your cholesterol goes down as mine did. I've also heard of people not needing to take BP meds anymore so there's hope and incentive for you. Good luck! Oh, and that's wonderful news that you were able to lose 8 lbs! That's HUGE for a diabetic. Go you!
  23. Congrats on losing the 20 lbs. That's a great achievement! I look forward to hearing your happy results when you get time to go see your doc. This breathing thing is great, isn't it? I think I've become addicted. Lol.
  24. You've gotten a lot of really good advice so far. Might I add another? Once you replace the coil and are ready to get more juice, take a look at some of the bakery flavors. Those are usually smoother and less harsh than some of the acidic fruit flavors -- even at 24 mg of nicotine. The flavor of the juice, the nicotine amount and/or the PG/VG ratio all play a part in how a juice will vape, whether it'll have a harder throat hit and such. My favorite juice for over a year now is FLaN (Feels Like a Nut) from EC Blends. I get it in 12 mg of nicotine, 50/50 blend with double extra sweetener. It tastes like an Almond Joy. This flavor is very smooth with little to no throat hit for me. Another thing to consider is that your friend smoked a lot. I was a pack a day Marlboro Light smoker when I started vaping. Using the info below as a very loose guide you'll see why the 12 mg didn't work for your friend. 24 mg nic = full flavor like Marlboro Reds 12 mg nic = light as in Marlboro Lights 6 mg nic = ultra lights Like I said, use the info as a very loose guide. When I started vaping, however, I started with the 24 mg. I needed the extra nicotine to get me through the first few weeks to a month or more as my body detoxed itself of all the thousands of carcinogens it was used to taking in. Went through a few withdrawals of them as a matter of fact. Stuck with the vaping and once I got over all that I was able to cut the nic down to 12 mg. These days I vape between 12 and 6 mg of nic, but I also keep a bottle or two of the 24 for the days when I can't vape as frequently. Hope some of this helps your friend!
