  1. In your first post I don't see anything about an ohm meter when you built your coil. Did you check the resistance before you starting using it? If not, and you don't have an ohm meter -- STOP! Don't go any further. We stress safety first! Always. Always check your coils on an ohm meter before putting them on your battery. If you did check the ohms of your build, then good for you. Also, you'll never get a lungful of smoke when vaping. If you do, then your battery's on fire...
  2. The CE4/Stardust clearomizers are notorious for burnt tasting flavors and mediocre to downright bad performance in a short amount of time. You'd be much better off taking Bebop's advice and getting a better tank.
  3. Are you sure it's a sensitivity to PG? Since you're just starting out, it very well could be your body detoxing itself of all the other chemicals you were getting from analogs. It could also be that you're getting too much nic from too high a nic level in your juice or vaping too much. It could also be that you're not drinking enough water because vaping will dehydrate your body. Not coffee, tea, soda/pop, juice...just plain old water.
  4. You're a breath of fresh air. All too often we see people new to vaping building coils and not checking them on an ohm meter before vaping them. Or worse yet, checking their builds on an APV, which isn't always accurate.
  5. Congrats on getting the new mod! Your girlfriend must be a very special lady.
  6. Somewhere on another thread I saw a post about a Nautilus recall. You might want to double check with the vendor you used. Just a thought.
  7. Malwarebytes comes in a free version but you'll need to turn it on to scan manually and it doesn't run in the background like the paid version does. The subscription, if you decide to buy it for a year, is around $25. Personally, on on all my computers, I use the free Microsoft Security Essentials. It seems to work just fine. I go online and scan periodically to make sure MSE isn't missing anything. So far so good.
  8. Lol, Troy! I was thinking of the nic that's in my body from the vaping I already do.
  9. You might want to put other forms of currency on your last question. I get paid in US dollars.
  10. If I remember correctly I do recall reading something about nicotine working as an insecticide. I plan to put that to the test this summer when the mosquitoes come out.
  11. What I'd like to know is...how is heating flavoring, VG, PG and nicotine magically going to create formaldehyde? Don't you need a few more things in order get this new chemical? Here's what I know about vaping: I feel better. It's improved my health that are measurable through proven scientific methods. I'm much happier when I vape. And best of all, I don't feel the need to wring stupid people's necks when I'm too busy vaping. Best perk ever!
  12. This is what I started on and used for quite some time as I learned how to direct drip. It's more than affordable and works great! http://vapelite.info/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=22_47&products_id=62 Glad to hear that steeping is working for you. If it's improved this much in just a few days...wait until you let it sit for a week or so -- if it lasts that long.
  13. If your juice is tasting perfumy try steeping it for a bit. Take cap off, place in a dark, cool place away from pets and kids. Let sit, shake daily, wait for a week or so and try it again. It might take a week or more but that should take away the perfume taste. Just so you know, some juices need to age (steep) longer than others, and some might never taste good. At least give it a try. Welcome.
  14. No. I am not buying anything more. Not right now. I do not need more batteries no matter how good they are. Uh-uh. No way. *stern look* Where did you see these, by the way?
  15. If you're still craving cigarettes (analogs as we call them here), you might want to kick up the nic content of your juice a little. When I got off the analogs I was smoking a pack a day of Marlboro Lights (around 12 mg). What got me off them completely was 24 mg of nic in my juice. I vaped that for a few months and then was able to cut down the nic easily. These days I go from 12 mg juice to 6 mg depending on what I'm doing and how much I can vape. Good luck and welcome!
  16. When you get into RDAs you need to lower that nic level otherwise the throat hit will blast your tonsils. Talking from experience here. To the OP: In four more days I'll have two years of vaping under my belt. I'm very familiar with Ohm's Law. I've also rebuilt car engines back to factory specs. I'm no stranger to which end of the wrench to use. That said, even after all my experience when I got into RDAs (and I own a K100), I'm still learning. I built quite a few coils now, tested them on a dedicated ohm reader specifically made for e-cig parts as well as a Fluke meter to make sure I've got everything done right. The wick is what's got me stumped. I've youtubed the hell out of it and I'm using the correct batteries to make sure it's safe to use with the ohms the coils are at. And still no clouds. As a matter of fact I get more clouds out of my Anyvape Davides than I'm currently getting out of my RDAs -- so much so that I have to turn on a fan to clear the vapor in the room. Everyone is telling you to put safety and experience first because we've all been there, done that. No one wants to see you get hurt, and it's a very real possibility if you're not familiar with vaping and all the safety aspects that go with it. Just my two cents. You'll do what you want.
  17. When they get in (if you already ordered them), make sure to check that they're authentic. There are reports that some batteries from eBay are not authentic and could possibly be dangerous. Sorry to be a downer but it's better to be safe than sorry later.
  18. Well, it looks like I'll be better preserved than some other people.
  19. Slowly but yes, it's getting better. I just need to slow down a bit and get more rest, Ma.
  20. I've been craving my blueberry/peppermint mix but it gave a bit too much throat hit. With my sinus infection, that was not pleasant. On a whim I added a couple drops of Nicoticket's Custard's Last Stand to it and it vapes so smooth now.
  21. Yep, what Mtdobie said. FLaN is an acronym for Feels Like a Nut. The name Almond Joy is trademarked so they couldn't call it that. Everyone gets vaper's tongue when we vape one juice for too long. It's no different with FLaN. I just switch to a different flavor for a few minutes and then go back to it. Drinking more WATER also helps get rid of vaper's tongue as well. Hint hint. Just keep in mind that if you get the Dragon series, you definitely will need to steep them before the creamy texture and flavor comes through.
  22. One the biggest things you've learned on this forum if you've been reading it for a while is how to derail threads and go off topic. Lol! Welcome, Doug.
  23. You're welcome! I'm glad you like the HH.357 but I can't take the credit. It was thanks to Rixter who turned me on to them in the first place. I just shoot off my mouth about them to everyone else. Lol. These things are great, though. Even at the price for the custom ($25 each), they're more than worth it for the performance and flavor I get.
