  1. Congrats, B! What did you say you were doing to lose the weight? I know you said Weight Watchers but what does that involve?
  2. The whole state of Kansas is one big tornado area. Lol. Glad you're safe and you kept your heavy coat with you!
  3. Any of the cream type of juice I've ever tried needed several weeks to steep in order to bring out the flavor and creaminess. Mt. Baker Vaper's juices all required quite a bit of steep time for me. Might let it sit a bit and go back to it later.
  4. Are you familiar with the regular dripping type of atomizers? Those don't need to be rebuilt, you just place it on a battery with a 510 connection and drip. If you're already familiar with these, you might want to go with a better atomizer: HH.357 by Avid Vaper. Those are the Lamborghinis of atomizers. The regular HH.357s run around $22 but I prefer the custom made ones at $24.99.
  5. Get a dedicated ohm meter made just for e-cigarettes, you can get one for around $20. Do not trust your APV to accurately read the resistance on a coil build! That's asking for trouble. A good place to get Kanthal A-1 wire is TEMco. Many of us get it from there. Get some good, organic cotton balls that are not treated for wick, it's cheap, easy to find, and it gives the best flavor - in my opinion. Everyone you talk to is going to have their favorite RDAs and RBAs (RDA = rebuildable Dripping atomizer RBA = rebuildable tank-style atomizer). I'll let the forum members who are more into that give you their takes on it. I'm still fairly new to RDAs and building coils. So far I've been stuck with getting the wicks just right. My coil builds are fine, though. *sighs* If you have a Kanger Pro Tank style of clearomizer, you can rebuild those coils and might be a good place to start. Rixter wrote a post with pictures on how to do that. It's very clear and concise and easy to follow.
  6. Even before you get a mod, get yourself a dedicated ohm meter and acquaint yourself with Ohm's Law. If you already have one and understand the theory of Ohm's Law, then good for you and continue researching the mods and RDA/RBAs and wire and wick/cotton and torches and...and...and... We're big into safety and doing it right around here.
  7. I wasn't even looking at getting a mech mod when one jumped into my hands for free! Now there are two mechs and two APVs. I don't even want to start counting all the Spinners and regular eGo batteries I have now.
  8. Back up tanks or just a tank per flavor. That's what I do. I keep about four to five different tanks on their own batteries so all I have to do is pick up the one I want to vape and it's all there. You'll want to rinse and clean the tank every so often just to keep the flavor fresh, but that's just my preference. I prefer to take the coil out before rinsing the rest. If the coil gets wet it's better to let it sit overnight to dry out first or it'll be hard to taste the juice for some time. Yes, buy more tanks.
  9. If you've had the juice in a tank, do NOT put it back into the bottle mixing the fresh juice with the used. The juice in the tanks have gotten heated a bit from the coils. After you've been vaping on it for awhile you'll notice the juice getting a little darker, a little...not tasting quite like you'd like. That's when you'll want to dump it out, rinse the tank well, possibly change the coil to a new one and refill with fresh juice. You'll want to get more tanks as the wicks inside (even if you can't see them), do tend to hold onto the flavor previously in the tank. Back ups! And back ups of back ups are a must with vaping. You'll never be sorry you got them. 18 mg of nic is around a medium flavored cigarette with 12 being the lights and 24 the full flavored. These are just very loose guidelines. I used to smoke Marlboro Lights (12 mg), about a pack a day when I switched to vaping. At first I needed the 24 mg juice just to get me started and then I gradually stepped it down. These days I go from anything between 24, mostly 12 - 6 mg -- sometimes even 0 mg. Welcome and good luck!
  10. Gotta love the rain-delay on all the outside chores. Have fun in Branson but get some rest and some sleep when you can!
  11. Fadora's Home Canned Peaches. OMG. This stuff is amazing!!!
  12. Just like with anything else with vaping: it all depends on you and how you use it. If you follow their directions to the letter, clean regularly and vape only light colored, not too sweet juices, the HH.357s have been known to last a year or so (give or take a few months). If you're like me and vape dark, sweet juices, even with regular cleaning and maintenance, they only last a month or so.
  13. If you're pressed for time I wouldn't suggest dripping, it's higher maintenance than a tank. Plus, you have to keep a bottle of juice with you so you can drip a couple of drops after every few hits. If your son is young, that could pose a hazard should he get into it while you look away for a sec. There's nothing wrong with tanks, many of them give nearly as good a flavor as direct dripping. My Anyvape Davide and Davide mini are the next best thing.
  14. Yeah, I stocked up too. Thankfully, they last quite awhile if you don't drop or knock them on something and break them.
  15. From my personal experience, the Anyvape Davide mini, which is essentially the same as a Kanger Pro Tank 2 mini, gives much better flavor and performance. The people I've turned onto the Davide mini all agree.
  16. Sounds like he did good, though! Glad you're both safe and sound.
  17. Sorry, I don't have a clue about what those taste like. Some of the favorite vendors of e-liquids on this forum are Fadora, Vape Dudes, EC Blends, Five Pawns, NicoTicket, Fuzion... There are hundreds of different flavors to pick from. You'll have to try them for yourself because taste is so subjective. What one person loves could taste terrible to someone else. Only you can say what tastes good to you.
  18. I think all of us on this forum have moved past the Blu style of e-cigs. We use eGo-type batteries and clearomizers or tanks. The more advanced vapers use mods and APVs and RDA/RBAs and such. You might think about getting something like an eGo or Vision Spinner for a battery and a Kanger Pro Tank mini or Anyvape Davide mini and some juices from different vendors. In the long run I think you'll be happier with the better performance. Just my two cents.
  19. Are you all right? I can't imagine what it would be to handle that much weight when a tire blows. Thankfully, there are two but still...I worry.
  20. Loaded up a tank with Fadora's Home Canned Peaches and...it's simply amazing! Will write a proper review in a few days.
  21. Plastic cases for batteries in pretty colors 1 gold Magneto (it's a graduation gift for my assistant) 2 Sony 18650 VTC4 batteries 1 Kanger Pro Tank 2 1 10ml bottle of Strawberry at 6 mg nic, 40/60 1 Signature Sample pack at 60/40, 12 mg nic (Spiced Apple, Mellow Spice, Cinnamon Stick, Apple Cider -- all with spices inside) 1 30ml bottle of Home Canned Peaches at 6 mg nic, 45/55 (no real peaches inside. *sighs*) All from Fadora. Comp, I think I didn't pay enough for shipping. The box was HUGE! Let me know what I owe you for the difference and I'll add it in my next order or something.
