  1. Like Mtdobies, I love my Anyvape Davide minis but Anyvape changed them to use Aspire coils and not the KPT coils, they also made them .5 ml smaller. Don't know of anywhere you can get the Davide (full-sized) or the Davide minis that use the KPT coils anymore. So sad. They "fixed" something that wasn't broken. *sighs*
  2. The iClear 30s that came with my VTR was nothing but pure junk. Dry hits all over the place and I use 50/50 juice so it should've been fine. There are some who like them but they're rare from what I've seen. From quite a few others they also had the same experience as I did but they are the tanks that come with the VTR so it's not like you'll be out any money to try it.
  3. How often and how long have you been using this atomizer? It does have a small break in period before it gets really good. The HH.357 have a slightly longer break in period. The coils in tanks have come a long way since I started vaping, and they're so much better than they used to be for flavor production. If you're switching coils to change flavors, rinse the coils well under warm to almost hot water, then soak in vodka for a few hours (I soak over night), then air dry over night before using again. That usually gets the previous flavor out unless it's a really strong flavor like tobacco or coffee. Those don't seem to come all the way out no matter how long I soak them.
  4. Mornin', Ma!
  5. To anyone who is new to direct dripping I would suggest getting the basics down first with a less expensive atomizer (these are not carts/cartomizers -- those have filler material inside), before getting into the more expensive HH.357s. The 357s have a learning curve all their own, even for experienced drippers. At $22 - $25 a piece, that's a little expensive to learn on while making mistakes.
  6. I would be very cautious about buying a Provari for $40 and expect it to be a real one. They don't lose their value to that extent.
  7. The heaviness can be a positive. It works very well as a defensive weapon.
  8. For me the VTR works and it works very well. It's pretty user friendly as well. I wasn't sure about the square shape and the sheer weight of it at first but it grew on me very quickly.
  9. Gotta give Phil credit, but did you notice how often they cut away and back in the vid? I guarantee he was laughing fit to split a gut.
  10. We like playing on the safe side.
  11. By all means, knock yourself out if that's what floats your boat. It'll hurt less if you're unconscious anyway.
  12. None that I'm aware but there is this: (adult content warning)
  13. Holy cow! Who told you ten minutes? If it's 50/50 or even 40 PG/60 VG, I'd let it stand a minute or three to let the wick soak. It shouldn't take longer than that.
  14. You'd be surprised at what you're going to see here. People getting into vaping just so they can cloud chase, build coils with no idea what Ohm's Law is or how to apply it, using sub-standard materials to build coils (ie. bread ties, paper clips, etc.), cotton from Q-tips for wicks, using APVs to check their coil builds if they check them at all, no knowledge of batteries, the list goes on. We have a few people who come on with some knowledge or at least with a good dose of common sense and aren't afraid to use it, though. We like to see them and hope they stay to help guide other new vapers.
  15. Yeah, sorry about that. Wish we could've been of more help!
  16. Go you! Boy, are you a breath of fresh air for someone new to vaping. I like how you roll.
  17. If you're going to sub ohm make sure you have the right battery that can handle the load. The wrong battery and you could be serenaded with a lovely *BOOM!*
  18. If that's the case go with the Kanger Pro Tank 2. They use single coils that are less expensive than dual coils and are pretty much trouble free. You can also get Aerotank bases for them so you can adjust the airflow. No more sucking golf balls through straws, although I've been pretty happy with the KPT2 just as is. Just throw out the coil that comes inside the tank and get lots of replacement coils to take with you.
  19. But if you did watch adult films he would look like someone you saw in one, right?
  20. Can't say for sure but what you have might be a knock off if it has no markings on it. I'd recommend a Kanger Pro Tank 2 and 1.8 ohm coils. That, with my K100 and some watermelon from Fadora and...mmmmmm! Don't know if you've been told but I would strongly recommend against buying from eBay. Go with a reputable vendor. Fadora, The Veteran Vaper, Discount Vapor, etc. These are places I highly recommend.
  21. If you smoked Marlboro red/shorts I'd go with a 24 mg nic until you don't have to chain vape to get the nic your body is craving. Just my two cents.
  22. Most often PG is the first number PG/VG but not always. When we talk about them on this forum, it's almost always PG/VG. Other places might be different so be on the look out.
  23. We'll see about the Provari (mini). I finally caved and Proetus got me.
  24. Good luck with all that! SO got the mowing done after work tonight. I've got laundry and all kinds of cooking for the coming week to do in the next two days plus packing. Got another trip to Denver on Monday night, coming back Tuesday evening. Then, turn around and back up to Denver again on the 16th. Won't be home until late 18th or early 19th. Sometime this July or August I have a trip to Durango to make. So much traveling for me, I'm not used to it like you are.
  25. More VG = smoother vape, slightly sweeter juice, more vapor but thicker consistency, which will gunk up coils faster. A high VG content can also produce dry hits because the wick won't be able to absorb it fast enough, especially if you chain vape. More PG = thinner juice, more throat hit, better flavor carrier. Personally I mostly use 50 VG/50 PG and still get the best of all sides. The most I go with VG is at 70/30 but that's rare. Too much VG tastes like I'm sucking on a glycerin bar. Just my personal opinion.
