  1. Oh, and your tongue feeling burned? Or just kinda dry or fuzzy? That could be from vaping in general and not so much the dual coil. Since you started vaping, have you increased your water intake? Vaping will dehydrate you so you want to make sure to drink more water. Not soda, not coffee, not tea...just plain H20.
  2. Sorry about the hijack, Chud. If you want more of an explanation about some of the things we've discussed, feel free to ask. We'll probably give you more of an answer than you wanted, though. Everyone is different and likes different things. That's rule #1 in vaping. What works for one person or 30 people may not work for you. You'll just have to try it for yourself to see if it's what makes you happy. That said, I prefer single coils. They're much cheaper to buy and vapes cooler with only one coil. Personally, I've never found the dual coils to be worth the added cost but that's just me.
  3. Hijacking threads happens around here. We may be giving the OP some interesting information, however. The newer Davides can be made to accept KPT coils. You just have to take off the top part of the bottom thingy where the coils go. Versatile.
  4. If you're going the RDA route, before buying wire and torch and everything else you're going to need...the first thing on your shopping list should be an ohm meter if you don't already have one. I prefer the dedicated ohm meter specifically for coils, it's much easier to use and you don't need as many hands... Safety first!
  5. I love my KPT2s but an Anyvape Davide blows it out of the water for performance for me. It's essentially the same as a KPT2 and uses KPT single coils. Somehow it seems to give me better flavor.
  6. I use the single coil on my KPT3 all the time with no problems. Don't have to do anything other than to screw it in and make sure it's seated well.
  7. Just because you have a mech mod it doesn't mean you have to have an RDA or RBA for it. I use a full sized Kanger Pro Tank 2, KPT3, Aerotank, and Davide on mine with a 1.8 ohm single coil and they work amazingly well!
  8. Question. The KPT3 mini is dual coil, yes? If so, can you also use a single coil in it like you can with a full sized KPT3?
  9. The Evod 2 Glass are glass tanks, which means, like mvince said, you don't have to worry about what kind of juice you're using with it. All of them will be fine. With plastic tanks like those on an Evod 1 or just plain Evod, you want to be sure not to use juices heavy on cinnamon, citrus or some mints because these are known to be tank crackers and you could wind up with a mess should that happen. Evod 2 are dual coil meaning they have two heating elements in them. The regular Evod is a single coil. This is where your preference comes into play. With a dual coil you might get a warmer vape, especially if you're chain vaping, and you're also going to go through more juice faster. Some people claim that they get a better flavor with dual coil vs single coil. While I've not found that to be the case for me, it will depend on what you like and how it tastes to you.
  10. Was just writing the same thing that mvince did. When the first Evod tank came out mine had a plastic tip. Just did a quick search and it seems like all the newer dual coil Evods have the metal tip on them. The first Evods were single coil if I remember correctly...it's been so long since I've used them though so I can't be sure.
  11. Exercising caution is always a good thing, especially when we're inhaling it into our lungs. They've suffered enough. Thanks for the heads up!
  12. We probably saw each other there and didn't know it. I was the Japanese lady at the table near the Vapor Leaf tables wincing every time the smoke alarms went off.
  13. For me, when I first found this forum, I already had some experience with different tanks and such. Thankfully, my local B&M is very good about information and taught me much. They're also one of the rare vendors who are certified as an official Joyetech vendor so I only got quality hardware for the most part. The veterans here taught me about direct dripping and got me into more of the advanced stuff. Their patience and endless information helped me along so that I can now help others. You guys are the next wave to help noobs get off and stay off analogs. *passes the baton*
  14. Mine is doing the same thing on a Joyetech charger today. WTH???
  15. Have you been chain vaping? Dual coils get hotter than singles. Also, take your battery out and check for any irregularities. Try another battery in it to see if it heats up too.
  16. The gold magneto. It's not shiny, looks a little aged, which I really like. It's more of a subtle elegance that comes from its sheer simplicity. And the price was excellent!
  17. 1 part crazy busy day 1 part HH.357 atomizer that's near it's cleaning schedule 1 part OMG, where did the day go??? 1 part Five Pawn's "Queenside" Aaaaahhhhhh. Better now.
  18. You'll never have too many back ups and you'll never be sorry that they're there when you need them. Plus, you're in some very good company of people whose money I've helped spend. lol
  19. Welcome and happy delurking!
  20. If you want to play on the other side of the fence you can help me torment...I mean torture...no, that's not the word I want...give hints to the players with me. PM me if you're interested.
  21. You'll want to try your hand on this one, Comp.
  22. They will, but my personal preference are the Sonys. Good to be safe...and less painful too!
  23. It won't start for another 2 hours and 15 minutes yet, but I like the enthusiasm!
