  1. Just like anything and everything else in vaping, what can be considered to be "outrageous prices" is also...subjective. Take Five Pawns' juices as one example. They sell a 30 ml bottle for $27.50. That's nearly a buck a ml. I don't mind paying that at all because I really enjoy their Queenside flavor. Now, if I didn't want to pay that and decided to DIY, the start up cost to me to buy all the supplies and safety equipment in order to do it right, the ingredients that I waste on trial and error in order to get the same flavor...but most of all the sheer amount of time it would take... I don't know about you but that kind of time I don't have. I also don't want to put that much effort into something that I have no interest in (making my own juices). Therefore, that price? It's a pittance as far as I'm concerned. I'm paying for much more than just the ingredients. I'm paying for convenience. I'm paying for my time, which to me is worth more than the mere $27.50 a bottle. It's up to each individual what they want to pay and what they deem worthwhile...or not. If you want to DIY, go for it. Me? I prefer to find my favorite flavors and pay the vendor what I feel it is worth, the price(s) the market will bear. Since these companies are successfully selling their product, I'd say the market is bearing their price(s) just fine. And that's just my two cents.
  2. Thanks for the clarification, Earthling!
  3. For me I would say yes but everyone's different and I'm not familiar with the technical aspects of why this would be the case. Dual coils are known to go through juice faster than single coils, which is what would lead me to believe that the thicker juice couldn't wick fast enough to prevent dry hits. Of course I could be wrong but I've found that thinner juice works better with my KPT3 using dual coils.
  4. Especially if you use a dual coil, which is what KPT3s come with, it's important that the wick can soak up the juice.
  5. From your description I would say that your juice is too thick. 20PG/80VG is going to give you a very thick juice that may not wick well. I'd either go with a lower VG ratio like 50/50 or even 40/60. In a separate bottle add some of your juice and dilute with either a little bit of PG or even distilled water. Diluting too much will give you diluted flavor so only go a few drops at a time and mix well. Never mix in the original bottle because, if you add too much of something, you can't take it out. In a different bottle you can always add a little more of the original to even things out. Good luck!
  6. Before starting out did you first wash the RDA? Sometimes the machining oils they use to build them will remain and give off a nasty taste. Don't rely on the Vamo to read ohms. They may not be accurate. Better to get a dedicated ohm meter just to be safe. I'm also moving this topic to the general modding section.
  7. Congrats on making the switch! Welcome to VT.
  8. I'm not familiar with your set up so I can't say for sure. If your battery has a 510 or ego threading you should be able to use any compatible tank.
  9. visioncig.com is where I found it just now. Ordered two to make the shipping worthwhile, it was reasonable. Hopefully, this will help.
  10. Ugh. I'll go hunt down a Vision charger then. If I have to change to a proprietary charger just for the Vision Spinner I'm not going to be very happy.
  11. I'm using a Joyetech charger with a Joyetech AC adapter. I think bcarter is using the same. What are you using? And how are you using it?
  12. Not all tanks have removable tips. That sounds like the case with yours. Try putting the whole thing into a freezer for about 10 - 15 minutes. Once the metal connectors cool you might be able to break the threads free. Put a rubber band around the tank and one around the battery to give you a better grip. If that doesn't work I'd suggest calling it a learning experience and then go buy yourself a more quality set up. The Vapor Talk store has some great Evod starter kits.
  13. Just keep an eye on the tank. If you see any clouding, any hairline cracks or spidering, throw it out.
  14. Lol! Glad to hear the 'drink more water' advice is helping. You might want to get a fountain soda cup next time you're in the convenience store and fill it full of ice. Also get a gallon bottle of water while there. That way you can get the ice a whole lot cheaper on a "refill" than you can buying single bottles at a time.
  15. Just so you're aware -- EC Blends does not make the juice until you order it so many (not all) are going to need to steep for nearly a week or more before the flavor comes into its own. In a few more days I'll be ordering my ADV flavor from them in 125 ml bottles. I usually steep these for nearly a month before this particular flavor "ripens".
  16. You get to customize it in many ways. There's 510 standard or long barrel, 901 standard or long barrel, 5 different colors to choose from, 4 different resistances, your choice of PG, VG or both inside the atomizer. My preference is a 510 standard, 2.0 ohm, 100% PG. They suggest using 4.3v on the 2.0 ohm, which is perfect for me. The 100% PG inside the atomizer makes it easier to blow it all out before dripping so I'm not vaping the primer for too long.
  17. That's totally normal to not be able to taste a flavor after vaping it for too long. I change through three or four different juices in a day minimum. Whenever one flavor starts to go blah, I change to something completely different for awhile. Then, I can go back to the first flavor and taste it again -- or go to another different flavor. Oh, and atomic fireball? I hope you're using something with a glass tank. That high of a cinnamon content has been known to crack a plastic tank.
  18. If you order an HH.357, I'd suggest spending a couple dollars more and go with the custom. Just recently I ordered a regular HH.357 and for me, it just doesn't have the same vape quality. At first I thought it was just the one atomizer so I tried a second and...same thing. From now on I'll only order the custom. The problem with the custom is that it requires at least a two week lead time... Was it you who said you vape 100% PG only? If so, that might be why the youtube video looks like it works better than yours. Might need more VG.
  19. Click on any of the links in previous posts in your thread where it says, "Evod" and it'll take you to the kit that's sold by the Vapor Talk store. All prices there are comparable (most of the time they're lower) than other stores. This is why most of us on VT don't recommend buying from Ebay. All too often we hear this same type of story that someone bought a knock off thinking it was the genuine brand name product.
  20. The chargers I used are the same ones I always use to charge my 900 and 1300 Spinners with no problems. I'm thinking it has something to do with the new Spinners.
  21. This last time I charged it I waited until the I got a green light and let it sit there for over two hours to see if it would continue. Didn't happen. When I took it off the charger and put it back on, the light changed and started charging again. Yes, this is frustrating that I can't seem to find a work around. *sighs*
  22. The green one is for the mojito (lime), the blue is blueberry, the maple (kinda like a burnt orange color) is for the Queenside, which has the blood orange, the clear is the Home Canned peaches.
  23. It could be the nicotine and it could also be that your body is still adjusting to not having all the added chemicals and carcinogens from the analogs. If I remember correctly you...never mind. Just took a look at your counter. Since it's only been six days I'd venture that it's just your body going through detox. Try getting a lower nic juice for just before bed, though, it couldn't hurt. Drink more water! Seriously. It'll help flush the toxins out faster.
  24. If you're using a tank that allows you to change drip tips, try using colors to keep things organized. That's what I do anyway.
