  1. When I started vaping I did both for five days and then went all in with vaping only. Everyone is different. Just do what works for you. The wonderful thing about vaping is that it's not an all or nothing kind of thing. If you fall off the wagon, don't be too hard on yourself. Just get back on and you'll be fine. For about 38 years I was a pack a day smoker. I tried everything on the market to stop but couldn't stay off the cigarettes for very long until I switched over. It's now been two and a half years since and I feel so much better! You'll get there, too. Good luck!
  2. Wow. You are very defensive, VapeHappy. My comments about personal attacks was to warn others not to attack you on a personal level. And I am done with this nonsense. The next person who comments in this thread that's off topic and makes a negative comment that's personal to anyone...will get a warning.
  3. No. Direct dripping does not have to involve building your own coils. You can buy a premade atomizer (I would also recommend getting a drip shield so it's not messy), and, with a little learning curve, direct drip away. I would also suggest keeping like flavors together in one atomizer like fruits in one, coffees in another, bakery in yet another one... By going from one flavor to another, the old flavor lingers just a bit so you may not want to vape a mixture of coffee flavored e-liquids with a lemon custard. This is the 1.7 ohm: https://www.vaportalkstore.com/510-Atomizer-Low-Resistance-p/510-atomizer-lr.htm This is the 2.2 ohm: https://www.vaportalkstore.com/510-Atomizer-Low-Resistance-p/510-atomizer-lr.htm
  4. Differing personal opinions are always welcome, that's what makes interesting discussions. Personal attacks, however, are not.
  5. My Spinner IIs also charge straight through...sometimes...on Joyetech and Vision chargers. No rhyme or reason as to when it will and when it won't. Mkauthen? It sounds like your charger might be the same as Bebop's. Have you tried using the battery since you took it off the charger to see if it works? Might be that it's fully charged and you just missed the green light.
  6. And that's the most important part, that it works and is fully charged! I like the idea that the charger turns itself off to prevent over charging but it would be nice if they kept the green light burning even if the charger itself is no longer charging. Oh well. As long as it still works right. You didn't say what kind of charger it is? Is it a Joyetech? Did they change their charger or is it by a different company?
  7. Okay, here's a homework assignment for you. Take a battery and use it down. Plug into charger. Get a chair and stare at charger until it turns green. Begin timer...
  8. Good morning, Bebop! That's interesting...and would be annoying to a certain degree. Do you know how long the light stays green before it turns off and shows red? What kind of charger did you get?
  9. First, what kind of charger are you using? Can you take a picture of it to show us? If you're using a Joyetech charger or one like it, the red light turns to green when the charging cycle is complete. With yours not changing, it might be that the battery isn't making a good connection, you have a defective charger, or any number of things.
  10. Okay, let's all play nice here. Don't make me stop the car. *stern look* This topic is a very good chance to impart some much needed safety issues concerning batteries. Let's not devolve this into an argument. We now return you to your regularly scheduled "POLITE DISCUSSION."
  11. And VERY LOUD! BOOM! is not my favorite sound.
  12. I'm with you, and if it's not the best stuff on the planet, I would expect them to give me my gas money back.
  13. Have to agree with Bebop. On my Nautilus mini I only set it to 3.8v. Sometimes, depending on the juice, I'll crank it up to 4.0v but I know that's really pushing it so I don't expect my coil to last very long when I do.
  14. Where I live, the brick & mortar stores are selling them for $40 so it's cheaper for me to buy online -- even with the shipping. YMMV Just be careful that it's not a knock off. A genuine Vision Spinner II has a scratch off thing on the package which reveals a serial number.
  15. Yeah, I had the same kind of day, which is probably why the brain isn't kicking in tonight.
  16. The first time I read this I thought it said, "...and then start exploding different avenues." Which could turn out to be true if you're not using an ohm meter. Lol.
  17. I would strongly recommend the Vision Spinner 2 as a variable voltage battery. It's 1600 mAh so it'll last quite some time -- depending on your vaping habits. The Vapor Talk store has them for $29 each, which is about the lowest price for these that I've seen and they're guaranteed not to be knock offs as well. Even after vaping for over two years now, it's still my go-to battery even though I have other more "advanced" mech mods and APVs. I like these even better than a Provari. *ducks thrown objects by Provari enthusiasts* Welcome to Vapor Talk.
  18. There's no such thing as having too many back ups!
  19. So I tried it myself. Using a KPT2 and a brand new stock 1.8 ohm coil. My Provari mini says it's 1.9 ohms. My Evic says it's 2.1 ohms. My iTaste VTR is reading 1.9 ohms. When I put it on a dedicated ohm reader it's reading 1.8 ohms like it's supposed to be (although stock coils are notorious for not being exactly what they're supposed to be). These variations are not surprising as I know better than to trust an APV to read the resistance accurately.
  20. Just sent a message to Chris. Hopefully, he'll be able to fix it for you.
