  1. The title of the topic is, "Stupidest question ever." Question being singular: as in one. The above has a whole series of questions (plural). So, which one question was it?
  2. I've made it into an art form. It's a gift.
  3. Hi Jacob. Welcome to Vapor Talk. You're probably going to get a bunch of people trying to help you out but here's my two cents: First, I would get a better tank. You have a good battery in an eGo T but your delivery system needs a little work. I would suggest getting something like a Kanger Pro Tank II (KPT2) or a Kanger Pro Tank 2 mini. The mini is more the diameter as your battery and won't stick out and look like a lollipop like the full sized KPT2. Next, get some decent replacement coils. For a non-variable voltage battery like the eGo T, I would recommend a 1.8 ohm to get the "best" performance. "Best" being relative and totally depends on what you find to work better for you. Either way, you'll want a 1.5 ohm or 1.8 ohm coil. The 1.5 ohm coil will deliver a hotter vape. Any higher resistance coils like a 2.0 ohm or higher, is going to be too high for the 3.7v that your battery puts out. If you want to go with a higher resistance coil, you'll need a variable voltage device. Since you're new to vaping I wouldn't suggest anything fancier than an eGo Twist or Vision Spinner II for now. Later, when you get things fine tuned, you can expand more and the gear you started with can become your back ups. For juice, I would recommend starting out with 24 mg nic at a 50PG/50VG blend. The chewing tobacco gives off a lot of nic, more so than an analog, so you'll probably want to start higher at the 18 - 24 mg nicotine. You'll know you're getting too much nic when you start to feel dizzy, get a headache, feel nauseous... That's your cue to put the vaping aside for a little bit. Don't forget to drink lots of water. Not coffee, tea, soda or juice, just plain water. Vaping dehydrates you so increased water intake is important. Free samples of e-liquid? Not that I know of. There are a couple of places that give a free sample with an order like The Vapor Room and EC Blends. The Vapor Room gives a free bottle of e-liquid (10 ml bottle) to a first time customer. You'll need to read the FAQ to get the instructions. EC Blends occasionally throws in a 5 ml sample with your order but it's when they have some available and you can't choose which flavor. Most online vendors have sampler packs you can purchase, though. The Vapor Talk store has two different kinds of sampler packs to choose from. EC Blends sells all their juices in 5 ml bottles at around $2.50 per bottle (or bigger bottles if you want but the price goes up when the size does), so you can go a little nuts trying out new flavors. Good luck! Others should be along shortly to give you their recommendations.
  4. Oops. I was $10 off but here's a link to some great mods. The K100 is another telescoping mod that's a clone of the famous (and expensive and ridiculously hard to get) Empire Mod. This one has springs instead of magnets like the Magneto but they're both very durable. My K100 has been through the ringer and is still working fine. You're not the first nor will you be the last to call me an enabler. I like to think I'm just very helpful. Lol. https://www.vaportalk.com/product-category/ecig-upgrades/mechanical-ecig-mods/
  5. The VTR is definitely a hefty and solid device. I love that it's got the ring to protect a tank. I've put a Nautilus mini in it but you have to keep the base off to get it through the ring, turn the whole thing upside down to screw the base onto the tank and then the tank onto the VTR. It works but it's a little bit of a pain to get it on. Good to know that our words about back ups got through. All too often it falls on deaf ears. I hope you're not in too much pain with your broken bones. Here's to healing quickly with no complications.
  6. Ah, if you have a back up or two, then I'd say go for it and give the VTR a try. If you're worried about breaking something, you might also want to take a look at a mech mod or two. The Magneto with an 18650 battery, a tank like a KPT2 with a 1.8 ohm coil and you're set. You can use the same batteries that the VTR takes so you can switch them around. Magnetos can be gotten for around $40. They can be a good back up for your VTR. Oh, and the Magneto is also a telescoping mod so you can put in a 18350 battery to make it more stealthy.
  7. If you want something to put into your pocket, a VTR will go there but it's going to pull that side down. You might want to also take a look at an MVP. It's a box mod but much lighter. The VTR is a heavy sucker.
  8. You can never have too many back ups, but you can...not have enough of them. I've also been in positions where my back ups failed. Thankfully, I had a couple of back ups for my back ups so they got me through. I would hate for anyone to only have one thing and then have something happen to it without having a back up standing by.
  9. Hey, Earthling, I'm not absolutely sure this would be a first rig, I'm presuming it is so because OP said he wants to quit smoking.
  10. I've only used Panasonic 18650, 3400 mAh flat top batteries in mine so I can't say if the button tops make the door pop open. I highly doubt that it would, though, since the door clicks closed and you have to push a little lever to open but I could be wrong. You know, if you want something to help you stop smoking...in my personal opinion...I would spend that $200 on at least two Vision Spinner II batteries, a couple of chargers, AC adapters, two or three tanks and several 5-packs of coils and a couple of sample packs of juice. That's a lot more equipment just in case something goes wrong with one or more things. With just the VTR, you're putting all your eggs into one basket. What happens if you drop it and it breaks? Do you have a back up for it? What if your back up won't work? Do you have a back up for your back up? Just some things for you to think about. If you have back ups, that's great. Go for the VTR. I have a VTR that works great. It doesn't get used very much though. I much prefer using my Vision Spinners. They're cheaper, they're very reliable, give consistent performance, and they're easy to use on the go. The VTR gets a little clunky when you need to be out and about.
  11. The V2 has a fixed "wheel" where the tank screws into it. That's a major improvement (imo) from the V1, which I have. The threads on the V1 strip too easily from all accounts I've heard. Thankfully, mine still works the way it should. I love my VTR. It's a very consistent and reliable APV, fits in the hand comfortably, can be used as a heavy weapon if needed... All in all, in my experience, it's a very good APV that works amazingly well. And that's my two cents.
  12. At the top of the page click on the little magnifying glass and type in "VTR". You'll get several links to other discussions on this subject. Not putting you off, but I think what others have said before might be some valuable insight for you.
  13. With Aspire offering a full size and mini at 2 ml I seriously doubt they'll ever release a 2.5 ml tank. That's too close to the 2 ml they already offer.
  14. We are all responsible for more than our fair share.
  15. I don't believe there is such a thing as a "stupid question." There are, however, an infinite number of stupid answers.
  16. You were a pack a day smoker, but not any more. You are now a vaper.
  17. Ha! Comp beat me to it. The base of the dual coil is also bigger around than a single coil so it won't fit.
  18. Well...the Vapor Talk store comes to mind. You'll only find genuine name brand products (no knock offs ever!), low prices, and excellent customer service.
  19. Yes, change the coil. If you're wanting to clean the coil, instead of dry burning, try soaking it in vodka for a few hours, rinse well and let dry overnight.
  20. I use water for rinsing out my tanks and drip tips. Alcohol for coils only. Never had a problem doing this. Also, I've diluted an overly thick juice with a drop of two of distilled water with no problem. Virgin Vapor uses water in some of their juices, which is where I got the idea. Oh, and this is not the stupidest question ever, Jonnoh. You'll have to do better than this to top the "stupidest" question. Lol
  21. Sometimes, the simple fix is to just change out the coil.
  22. So are you telling me that I won't see a difference in my electricity bill if I dim all my lights??? Just kidding.
