  1. The Vamo 5 is $48.99 from the Vapor Talk store. Chris, the founder of this forum, would never sell knock offs. You also get the best customer service. Take a look at the other APVs on this page: https://www.vaportalk.com/product-category/ecig-upgrades/variable-voltage-ecig-mods/ Even though you specified that you wanted a "pen style" mod, many members here swear by the iTaste MVP and MVP2 for a durable workhorse. It is a box mod but it's been around the block and is a proven APV. Its big brother, the VTR, is one of my favorites, but it might be more than you want to pay. Some members might steer you toward Fasttech but that's iffy at best. It's coming directly from China so you may experience a delay in shipping. If something isn't right, it's hard to get it corrected. Just recently I ordered some drip tips from them. It took over four weeks before they told me they couldn't get it. It's been over six weeks now and I still haven't seen a refund... Just sayin'. Stick with US vendors, it's easier to contact them and get action. Other places you might look at would be Discount Vapers, The Vapor Room, GotVapes.com, Mad Vapes, Fadora Vapor... All are places I do business with on a regular basis and have gotten quality product and good customer service. My main preference is always the Vapor Talk store, though. And no, I don't work for the store, I'm just a very satisfied customer.
  2. The whole enchilada at only $25.95 from the Vapor Talk store: https://www.vaportalk.com/shop/nautilus-tank/
  3. At 3.7v, that may not be enough to fire a 2.1 ohm coil quickly. Try hitting the power button for just a second or so and then take a draw. Either that, or pop in a 1.5 ohm coil to see if that works better. With 3.7v, the 1.5 ohm coil should work better.
  4. First, I would warn you against buying from eBay. All too often we've seen and heard members' tales of woe about how the pictures were authentic but the product they got were not. Go with a reputable vendor. You may pay a little more but it's worth it to make sure what you're getting is the real deal rather than a knock off.
  5. My beloved ADV (Feels Like a Nut) only tastes "right" to me in my HH.357s. Even in an RDA, it just doesn't taste the same. My RDAs I vape other bakery flavors. My tanks run the fruit flavors for best-for-me performance and taste. It really is funny how different delivery set ups give off different flavors.
  6. You might get some vegetable glycerin and add a few drops to your juice. That will dilute the flavor just a bit but won't harm the juice. When I get some that is too thin and won't produce enough vapor for my tastes, that's what I do. I got a small bottle of food grade VG at Hobby Lobby in the aisle where they have all the cake decorating stuff.
  7. How funny! You and I run the same set up on the same RDA. I'm with you on the 50/50 mix. If I go more than 40/60, it starts to taste like I'm sucking on a glycerine bar. Bleh.
  8. Yeah, what Bebop said. Also, ever use a cool mist humidifier? A steam vaporizer? It's all the same principle imo.
  9. That's not entirely true, it depends on what the clone is -- RDA, RTA or battery, etc. and who it's made by. Some clones are better than others. For batteries that go into an APV, I'd never knowingly use a clone. Some RDAs, I've heard people say it's as good, or sometimes better, than the original. It all depends on the manufacturer of the clone itself.
  10. Not being familiar with the Cool Fire, I'm just guessing here. Is there a floating pin on the 510 connector? If so, that pin might've gotten pushed down and isn't making contact with the coil in your tanks. Take a paper clip or needle and gently push the sides of the center pin to pull it up a little. Even though this video is for an eGo battery, it's the same fix.
  11. If you like it and it works for you -- isn't that what matters most?
  12. Personally, I can't see how it can be all that bad. While I'm not a doctor (nor do I play one on TV), we breathe in a certain amount of water in every breath, some more than others depending on where you live. You're in New Jersey where humidity is higher than where I live in Colorado. With every breath, you're breathing in some "water" in the air in the form of humidity. Distilled water would be better than tap. That's just my line of thought and opinion only.
  13. If I remember correctly, Virgin Vapors says they dilute with distilled water right in their FAQs. It's been a few years since I read it though.
  14. Welcome to Vapor Talk. Now, define "active"...
  15. Patricia, when I'm looking for drip tips I go to Google and put in "drip tips" and do the search under "images". Then, I look through all the pretty pictures until I find something I like. Then, I go to that page to find out what it's called. If the page/site is a vendor I've used before I just buy it. If it's not a vendor I've either purchased from before or heard good things, then I do another Google search under "web" and try to find a vendor that I know who carries it. Easy. But very dangerous. How do you think I wound up with well over 200 drip tips?
  16. Hey, Comp? I'm getting [insert pic] on the first several places where a picture is supposed to be on your site. Is that just me?
  17. Yeeeeeesssssss. Okay, here goes. Hi, my name is Tam and I'm addicted to drip tips...
  18. Why thank you, Earthling. You say the nicest things! Tugboat? You could also add one to two drops of distilled water into your tank with the 100% VG juice to dilute it a bit so your coil can wick it but I wouldn't put too much...
  19. Personally, I wouldn't use more than 70% VG in the Nautilus or any tank for that matter. Save the 100% VG for RDAs.
  20. That's just it: you're new to this. In time with research and practical experience, you'll acquire a lot of knowledge, too. Like Comp says, do your research!
  21. Take a look at Virgin Vapor then. They have organic juices.
  22. I like pie just fine but too much of a good thing and all that.
