You guys are funny. And so sweet to try to help someone so quickly.

There are a few members who are into clouds but not that many. Most of us are more into getting off analogs and staying off and helping noobs to do the same.

I second Jeff's request for a pic. Your description just doesn't give us enough information for us to be able to give you accurate information.

Anyone else just want to talk about mods they own?

Now that there is one, what all do you have planned to do with it? -
The more and longer you vape the more your taste buds will come back. Smoking tobacco cigarettes screws with our sense of taste and smell due to all the carcinogens. Getting off analogs will revitalize your sense of smell thus revitalizing your sense of taste. In the next month or so, especially if you get totally off cigarettes, you'll notice all kinds of new smells and flavors. Things you used to love will no longer hold the same appeal due to your senses changing. Things you may not have liked so much before will become the best thing ever due to your sense of taste and smell coming back. If you're still craving cigarettes, it's probably due to your nic level. 6 mg is very low for most who are getting off cigarettes. Most do best at 18 - 24 mg to start. Once they get off the cigarettes for a week or more, then start dropping the nic level a little at a time. Even after all this time I keep juices from 24 all the way down to 0, it all depends on what I want/need for that time. When I can't vape very often I'll hit the 24 mg so I can take a couple of puffs and get the nic I need. If I'm at home and chain vaping I'll go down to 6 mg or even sometimes down to 0 mg. An hour or two before bedtime I'll also decrease the nic level so I can sleep better. Of course your mileage may vary.

After refilling, do you check to make sure the coil didn't come loose when you unscrewed the base? I've had problems with it before so thought I'd ask. Whenever I refill, I unscrew the coil, clean it up a bit, blow through the chimney, rinse the base without the coil, replace the coil making sure it's seated properly, and then put it back together.

*leans forward toward Bebop* Okay, you can slap my forehead too. What did you use to clean the chimneys? They're so small, I can't imagine a brush that's small enough to fit...

Moved. Not sure how to answer your other question, it sounds like something that Chris will have to address.

I still keep a couple of 5-packs of BOGE atomizers around as back ups should I run out of my supply of HH.357s. The one HH.357 that I use for fruit juices has been working well over a year now, but then again it doesn't get as much of a workout like the ones I use for my ADV.
-
You could always direct drip with a prebuilt atomizer, that would be a cheaper alternative and much less expensive. There is a learning curve in how to use these successfully, but it's less of a learning curve than learning all about Ohm's Law, getting an RDA, wire, wick, ohm meter, torch, etc. http://www.vapelite.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=22_47&products_id=62 This is one that I learned on. These days I use an RDA but mostly, I use the Cisco Spec Hybrid HH.357 atomizers: http://www.avidvaper.com/hh-357-cisco-spec-hybrid-atomizers/ The HH.357s are not what I'd call "affordable" at a minimum of $22 each whereas the first link's atomizer is $2.50 each but you also get what you pay for.

Yeah, we'll need light to make sure we hit what we're aiming for.

New vape pen giving good 'hits' for only about 15 minutes?
Tam replied to Soup's topic in New Vapers Forum
If you were to buy this, it would be buying new but I'm not sure what you mean by a "new unit." If you bought the Vision Spinner II, all that comes with it is the battery, no charger or anything else. The Nautilus mini is the tank and it comes with two vertical coils at 1.8 ohms. I would suggest you buy at least one 5-pack of replacement coils at 1.8 ohms. You already have a charger for your other battery, that will work with the Spinner BUT I would buy another charger just to make sure it's not the charger that's at fault with your current set up but that's just me. Anything else? Yes. I would invest in some quality juice in at least a 50/50 blend. If you're wanting more vapor, go with a 40/60 (PG is most often the first number / VG the second) but no more than 30/70. May I suggest a quality vendor for all of this? Go with the Vapor Talk store for the hardware. For what we've been talking about, the VT store has some of the lowest prices online, genuine name brands, and excellent customer service. Just for the record, I'm not an employee or anything of the store, just a very satisfied repeat customer. For juices, you can't go wrong with Fadora Vapor. Compenstine is the owner and, as you've seen on this thread, he will bend over backwards to help get you the most accurate information and help with whatever you order from his store. He also happens to make some of the most delicious juices I've tasted. Check out the testimonials under the e-liquid reviews area of the forum. While the VT store sells Fadora liquids, the ratio there is fixed at 70 PG/30 VG. If you go to Fadora's online store at http://fadoravapor.com/you can customize the juice any way you want it. Comp won't steer you wrong. -

I would give the Aspire Nautilus mini a try. It comes with two extra vertical coils at 1.8 ohms. With our Twist, that should work well to give you a good vape and vapor as long as your juice is right. What PG/VG ratio of juice are you using? I'd go with at least a 50 PG/50 VG or max 30 PG/70 VG. The higher the VG, the more vapor you get. Keep in mind that the higher the VG, the less flavor because PG is the flavor carrier. I regularly vape at 50/50 and can still fog up the home office. -

^^^^ What Comp said. Also, be aware that too much VG content and it'll gunk up your coil faster and make it hard for the wick to absorb the liquid so you'll get more dry hits. I wouldn't go any more the 70 VG if you're using a tank with any kind of coil. -
Yeah, we're a pretty vocal bunch if something isn't up to our standards. By the same token, we also sing praises pretty loudly when it's deserved... like the Vapor Talk store and Fadora Vapor for two that come to mind.

Serious bout of insomnia this week...

*waves hand* Chronic insomniac here. *sighs* That said, when I do go to sleep I'm much like a light switch: either I'm awake or I'm asleep, there's no in between and it happens in an instant. I like sleep soooo much. -

Tam replied to Soup's topic in New Vapers Forum
If you're getting more of a burnt flavor, chances are good that your coil is going out or you've burned the wick. If you're having to set it up to 4.3 volts to get a decent hit, I wonder if you have a higher ohm coil like a 2.5 ohm or more? Do you know what resistance your coil is? -

Tam replied to Soup's topic in New Vapers Forum
Ha! I was going to ask the same thing, Comp. Also, what resistance of coil (ohm) are you using? It looks like a variable voltage battery, what voltage do you have it set at? Oh, and another thing. Before recharging, do you clean out the point where the battery connects to your clearomizer? You really should do that, as well as cleaning out the connection end of your charger so it gets a good connection for a full charge. Use a Q-tip and some rubbing alcohol to get all the dried up old juice out -- this time. Then, from that point on, always clean out the connection ends before charging. You might not be getting a full charge if it can't make a good connection. One more thing. For safety's sake, do not leave your battery charging while you sleep unless you have it inside some protective case. You never know if there's a short or something else wrong with the battery and you don't want it to catch on fire while you're sleeping.
