Thanks for the warning, Jeff. I'll keep that in mind should I fall into the rabbit hole. Got sidetracked and just got the 1978 version of The Lord of the Rings. It was cutting edge when it first came out. Ah, nostalgia...

Thanks, Earthling. That was the information I was looking for but after a drink or two, my Google-fu went on the fritz.

What's a 510 flip-connector? That's something I'm not familiar with. Oooh, new toy? So, what are we going to do tonight, Brain?
-
Instead of LOL, why am I hearing Mwuahaha! instead?

I'm hoping to replace some of my aging Spinners with the iStick so I could just put in a 510 to 510 adapter to keep it from stripping all the way if it should start. Since I use HH.357s. the drip shield should cover the adapter quite well should it be needed. Yeah, I really like the short side button on my VTR. I can't imagine how I would hold it if the button were on the long flat side.

Yep. I stealth vaped when I flew with no problems. As long as you're not blowing clouds and are discrete, it's not a problem.

Getting ready to watch X-Men: Days of Future Past. I hope it's as good as what everyone else has been saying.

Went looking but didn't find where it said how low the SVD would fire. The Atlantis tank comes with .5 - .7 ohm coils. I'd check to make sure the SVD will fire sub-ohm or not. Many of these tube type of APVs only go as low as 1.0 ohm. On several sites I've seen reviews about problems with the button not working so you might want to be aware of that before purchasing the SVD. Just my two cents.

That was the biggest drawback and why I never did try an MVP2, the button on the flat side just didn't feel right for me. Now, with the new design... I don't have that excuse anymore... I'm still waiting for the VT store to restock the Eleaf iStick. Can't make up my mind between the blue and the red so I may have to get both.
-
Interesting. The corners of the MVP3s look a bit sharper than the 2. I wonder if that'll make a difference in how it feels to hold...

The Pro Tank minis that you have allow you to take off the tips/mouth pieces. It may be a little tight but it comes off by rocking it a bit and pulling at the same time. If it's hard to take off, put a drop or two of the juice on the O-ring before replacing it into the tank to lube it. You can get all kinds of drip tips as long as they're made for a 510 or 901 connection. Empire Mods (http://www.empiremods.com/) has lots of different drip tips as does Stormy's Vapor Cellar (http://stormysvaporcellar.com/ocstore/index.php?route=product/search&search=drip%20tips&description=true&sort=relevance&order=DESC). A couple of places to try.

Yes, it happens to me often if I haven't vaped that tank in a while. There are too many flavors to keep track of around chez Tam. LOL. For keeping track (somewhat), of the juices in the tanks I use often, I just use different colored drip tips. Much cheaper and easier than changing out the glass tanks.

Chiming in to rec a bottom coil tank. With top coils, unless you're tipping the hell out of it all the time, you tend to get dry hits. Once you burn the wick, you'll never get that taste out until you change out the coil to a new one. You don't have this problem with the bottom coils. Plus, when I used this same tank, I got too much of a wick flavor in my juice... Bleh. What's the PG/VG ratio of the juice you're using? Too much VG and your wicks won't soak up the juice -- that just adds to the dry hits.

Alright Members - Single Coil Feedback
Tam replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Or add a disclaimer at the bottom saying that they can also be used on an Aerotank and/or KPT3 but some vapers have had issues with leaking when used. Buy and use with these tanks at your own discretion. That way they're warned before hand. -
Alright Members - Single Coil Feedback
Tam replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Once in a great while I get leaking from a coil but that's happened with single and dual coils, but it's pretty rare. I use the single coils (both long and short stem), in my KPT 3 and Aerotank with no issues. There was one mess where the juice leaked all over my hands but that was my fault, I accidentally cross threaded and didn't catch it in time. I wonder if it's just in the KPT mini and not the full sized tanks? -
First, what resistance is your coil? Without this info, it's a little hard to give you more accurate recommendations. Next, you can set watts and volts but you can only use one at a time. Do you have your battery set on watts or volts right now? Since you claim that all hits are harsh and tastes burnt, I'm going to say that you have your power set too high. You may have already burnt the wick inside your coil so I would suggest changing the coil, let it stand for a minute or so to let the wick soak up the juice, set your battery at its lowest setting and vape. If it's not what you like, turn it up just a little and vape again. Repeat until you get just a slight burnt taste then back it down a notch. That should be the sweet spot for that juice and coil. If you start high and work lower, you may burn your wick and you can't get the burnt taste out of it so changing the coil or rewicking may be your only option. It's just better and easier if you start low and work high. Hope some of this might help.

Interesting info. Thanks, Rixter!

Have you Made the Switch AND Cut to Zero?
Tam replied to JohnnyFog's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Started at 24, eventually went down to 12, more 6 these days than others. My juices run all over the place from 24 to 0 for different vaping needs. 24 for when I can't vape much and 6 - 0 when I'm relaxing. For me, I see no rush to get down to 0 and stay there. If it happens, great. If not, I'm just enjoying the ride. -
Gotta love Avid Vaper. Lord knows they get enough money out of me all the time. LOL Glad it wasn't anything more serious and that you caught in time.

And let that be a lesson on why ohm meters are a must!

Nope. You're not doing anything wrong or missing out on anything important. If what you have is working for you, that's the most important thing. The rest can be classified as "fun stuff." When my mother was in the hospital for over a month I spent many a bathroom break puffing away. Mostly I used the Mojito flavor with a little extra peppermint thrown in at 24 mg so it smelled more like a strong mint gum than anything if it smelled at all and the 24 mg let me get the nic I needed without having to chain vape. Even if it's 0 nic, I would think they'd consider it an e-cig just be virtue of the vapor it produced. They can't be checking all juices to see which ones contain nic and which ones don't. That's my opinion anyway.

Curioser and curioser... I wonder why they work for some and not for others. Now I'm going to be wondering about that for some time.
-
What's an MOQ and is it in any way connected with the SX mini? If so, I might be interested.
-
I use the short stem and don't have any problems except once in a great while. Weird how it works for some and not for others.
-
That's the beauty and fun of vaping. Everyone likes something a little different. Whatever works best for you and makes you happy is all that's important.
