  1. The first thing I would do is to buy (and learn how to properly use) a dedicated ohm meter. The displays on an APV are not accurate and you should not rely on them to give you a true reading. Safety first! The second thing I would do is to research and get familiar with Ohm's Law. Don't just rely on a calculator to keep you safe.
  2. Welcome to Vapor Talk.
  3. Pliers would damage the bottom metal. I just use a small piece of rubber shelf lining and it comes right off.
  4. The highest resistance coils for the Nautilus only go up to 1.8 ohms. If you try it with a different tank, say a Kanger Pro Tank 2, and it still burns, I'd try a higher resistance coil to see if that doesn't help.
  5. Yes, I picked this image. I got it from a Google image search for "purple minion". I then saved it onto my hard drive, uploaded to a photo sharing site, then uploaded it as my avatar. It was never on my profile section. I have one question for you: what are you drinking???
  6. My current avatar is the result of an on-forum discussion and joke... as was the Darla (Little Rascals) icon and the picture of the hotdog before it.
  7. If you get higher resistance coils, that might work since you can't go below 3.3v.
  8. Saw that on the news last night. With my luck I'd fly out there and get stuck in the airport for the duration if I got there at all. You'd think after spending a total of 5 years in Alaska, I'd have had my fill of snow but no...
  9. I used to keep my full sized 10-speed bike in the trunk of my Electra. LOL
  10. My first car was a '65 Ford Galaxy 500 Limited Edition.
  11. Good for you! Learn on the single coil until you get it down (and the proper wicking method), before moving on to dual coils. Wish more people would do that.
  12. I LOVE land yachts! My old '69 Buick Electra was a wonderful car...
  13. No, as in "it's heavy as a frickin' BRICK."
  14. VTRs are great workhorses, just not what I'd call "portable".
  15. According to the weather forecast, we're now up to 70% chance of snow on Saturday (when I looked this morning it was only a 30% chance)! Normally, I prefer nicer weather but I'm really wanting some snow lately. Will gladly take yours, Comp.
  16. Hi. My name's Darryl. And this is my other brother, Darryl.
  17. ^^^^ What Earthling said. I don't believe I've ever seen anything go below 3.3v either.
  18. If you want a self-defense item, get the VTR. It's heavy and solidly made. And did I mention it was heavy??? Spend a couple extra dollars when you can and go for the IPV mini or mini2. Both are solid performers and should last you quite some time and will grow with you when you're ready so you don't have to buy a new device...unless you want to.
  19. Juice tastes different for everyone so you'll have to decide which tastes better in a tank and which do better in an RDA. The clerk probably meant that that particular juice was a good tank juice "for him."
  20. Congrats on your first milestone with vaping! I hope to see you posting more in the future.
  21. Forgot to post this yesterday but my IPV mini2 70W came in yesterday. This one is actually black, too! I may need others in different colors now...
  22. Stacking batteries in a mod is never a good idea... that gives you a much better chance of something going BOOM!
  23. Tam

    best flavor RDA

I've run a single coil just fine on my Stillare. No need for a dual coil unless you want to.
