Aspire Atlantis + Atlantis 2.0 / V2
Tam replied to DJ Colonel Corn's topic in Share the Latest Vaping Products
Vaping hasn't been around long enough for studies to conclude it to be "safe." However, it more than likely is safer than smoking cigarettes. With as many new things coming out every day, you need to stay on top of... stuff... so you can take steps to be as "safe" as you can. -

Right??? Especially at 2 mg of nicotine, how can you tell without testing it? 0_0 Oh wait. The title to your post says 18 mg of nic but your bottle says it's only 2 mg. WTH??? -

I found that when I tried juices high in glycerine. When I say, "read: blah, blah, blah" that means to take the phrase "I tend to only taste the glycerine" to mean "it (sic) tastes like sucking on a glycerine bar." -

If nothing else, I give them kudos for coming clean and releasing a better version. I'm not sure if I'm remembering this correctly or not but wasn't there something about Aspire replacing (for free) the first version with the second for those who asked? -

Just my opinion but I think you're either coming down with something or you've got allergies. VG will mute the flavor while PG is the flavor carrier. Higher VG will definitely taste different from a 70PG ratio. At around 70 VG, I tend to only taste the glycerine (read: sucking on a glycerine bar). :P -
I'll get it out to you tomorrow. Do you want the 6 mg or 3 mg? I believe both are at 40/60.
-
Duh. I should've thought of that before, Comp! I usually add extra sweet to it (used to add double extra sweet but I'm trying to cut down a little). Now that you have a better handle on my situation, you probably could do something amazing! Do you want me to send you a sample?

Not flan, FLaN (Feels Like a Nut) aka Almond Joy but that name is trademarked so EC Blends couldn't use it. It's a mixture of almonds, chocolate, and coconuts. It's been my ADV for over two years now.
-
125 ml bottle of Feels Like a Nut (FLaN) in 3 mg nic, 40/60 blend came in today. I started with 12 mg nic and have cut down to 3 mg in the same delivery system. Might eventually get off nicotine yet.

If you're not trying to imitate/match the flavor of tobacco, you're not trying to compare an apple to a potato. You'll get more satisfaction and enjoyment out of new flavors. Really!

How do you think Earthling's spent so much of my money???

If you get something with a changeable battery, you'll need to get the correct battery that will work with what coils and resistances you like. If you're going to sub-ohm, it's that much more critical to get the right battery for safety's sake. Then, with the external battery, you'll need a dependable, quality charger like the Nitecore Intellicharger. I love my Eleaf iStick 50W so much I just bought another one and am contemplating one more after that.

Because vaping is different from burning tobacco and paper, you'll not find anything that tastes exactly like a cigarette. That said, when I first started vaping, I wanted something so completely different from tobacco and went with a fruit flavor -- I think it was orange cream like a dreamcicle. Might give other flavors a try to see if those will satisfy?

I'm with you, Jonnoh. Without the sheer variety of toys and juices, I'd never have gotten off and stayed off analogs. Lord knows I tried nearly everything else. Coming close to my three year mark (in May). Can't believe it's been this long. Haven't saved much money from making the switch, but it's the best damn money I've spent in a lot of years!

I picked up a pink one last night. In some pictures it's a light pink. In others, it's more magenta (hot pink). Wonder what will come through the mail? If it's a lighter pink, I may need to get the lighter blue... -
She did! She was so excited about getting so much. The only thing she has to buy is the AC adapter for the charger and some different flavors of 24 mg juice. I only had one flavor in that mg of nic. This weekend I'll go through some of my other stashes to see what else she'll get. One problem I'm coming up on is matching the extra coils with the tanks. It's like a puzzle. lol

Your first piece of advice: SAFETY FIRST!!! Welcome to Vapor Talk. -
The only good thing he has going is that he did put it on a meter first...

Here's an update: she went through the whole night without one single cigarette! Got all the other stuff to her this morning and gave her a quick tutorial on how to use them. She's stoked!
-
Will do, Jonnoh. I'm so happy you found vaping and getting so much better!

Are you ready to take the plunge? I found them available at Avid Vaper. They get around $200 of my money every month in HH.357 atomizers so I know they're a good, trustworthy vendor with only quality goods and great customer service. http://www.avidvaper.com/eleaf-istick-50w-4400mah/ -
Here's adding to your story. A co-worker came to me because someone told her I was the "expert" on vaping. She got some bad news from her doctor who said she must quit smoking. She's only in her mid-thirties yet her lungs were that of a 70 year old. Just so happens that I have an extra back up of a back up with me. I gave it to her along with a charger and AC adapter, a 10 ml bottle of 24 ml juice that she fell in love with at first vape. When I got home tonight I went through some of my back up stuff and got two more eGo T batteries, another two chargers and one AC adapter, seven various tanks with extra coils... those all went into a goodie bag that will be gifted to her tomorrow. Then, I'll take her to the local B&M to get her more 24 mg juice so she can switch off. Might've saved her over a hundred bucks and got her off on the right foot.
