Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad you've made the switch to e-cigs over analogs. You'll start to notice a difference in taste, smell, and breathing in a few weeks maybe a little more. As far as the Volt.. I've heard some good things about them, but if you were a 2pk a day smoker the short battery life is going to drive you crazy. Having to change out and recharge ever hour or two gets real old fast. If you aren't too concerned about it having to look like a regular cigarette, then I would suggest looking into an eGo...riva..or something similar. Take a survey and you'll find that many on here recommend it as the next step in e-cigs after the small stick batteries. There are many similar types that use the 510 connection. Also some types use the 901 or even 801 connections. All you really need is some adapters and you can pretty much use anything you want on them. I would say that if you don't want to be dripping all the time that you invest in some duel coil cartos and some good juices Some places to check would be VaporTalk store ..Madvapes.com....LibertyFlights.com...Stormy's vapor cellar.com or check the list of vendors here on site. All should have something you can really enjoy. Another thing to remember is that you will never find a juice that tastes like a real analog. If you can find something that you like with tobacco flavor, that's about as close as you'll come. Since you're not burning tobacco and paper the flavor is completly different. So search around till you find something you like. Also,,,do your homework..watch video reviews..ask questions..search websites for deals, there's tons of vendors, some great, some good, some not so good. Best of luck in your journey...we've all been there and are glad we did. Good luck and happy vaping

Can Someone Explain To Me Tank/cartomizer In This Video
snubber replied to twelveday's topic in Modders Forum
Hello, there is an inexpensive one at Madvapes.com, not the best one out there but it will give you an idea of what they are and how they work. They come with pre-punched cartos and a drip-tip for around $12.00. I'd start out with the 3ml size since that will do best on a small battery like the ego. Like I said, they aren't top of the line, but will get you a start into what's going on. Then when you get a mod you can check out the better ones, (more expensive) and maybe punch your own cartos. But watch some videos on youtube GrimmGreen has some good ones and learn more. Good luck and happy vaping -
Congrats Chris...always said this was a great place to be. Still waiting for you and Jeffb to take that plunge...lol

Don't know about the device, but I can tell you that the CE2's are a piece of sht. Plastic tube section almost always comes loose from the bottom and they leak like hell. I"d still go with dual coil cartos before I went with ce2. IMHO

At the start of a new year we tend to look back on the past year and reflect on what we've done and look forward on what we plan to do. I've recently passed my 2 year mark here on VaporTalk and wonder where the hell the time has gone.Although I haven't been here as long as some others I have noticed so many changes, both on the forum and with the people. So many have come and gone, and you wonder where they went and why they left? Chris has said that it's the nature of a forum. Not being on many I wouldn't know, but I can't help but wonder why? Did they just get tired? Have they gone to other forums? Or did they just give up? I can't imagine finding a better, friendlier, or more helpful forum than VT. I have many people here to thank for helping me when I first started out to quit analogs. With their help and encouragement I'm coming up on 2 years smoke free. So what all this is leading up to is never forget where you started and who helped you along. If this forum was your first stop in a new way of getting healthier then don't give up on the forum. Stop bye from time to time, say hello, let us know how you're doing and how your e-cig journey is coming along. I myself am guilty of not coming bye as often as I should, but I have never forgotten where I got my start. So stop bye from time to time, say hello, maybe you can help someone else on their way to quit. The people here really do care and like to help. Hope to see you all often. Good luck and Happy Vaping!

Started out as a real tough battle, but with the help of these fine people here on the forum I haven't had an analog in almost 2 years. Don't know if I could have fought it without their help. Tks to all of you!! ( you know who you are )

Taking The Color Off Ego Battery
snubber replied to Tagsanstuff's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Well believe it or not, that coating on the ego battery is a kind of rubbery material. I don't know of a fast way to get it off but I've had several black ones that I've dropped on the sidewalk and it nicks and chips at the coating. After it got so bad looking I started just peeling it away a little at a time with my finger nail till it eventually just all came off. It didn't happen over night but it did finally all came off and now I have silver batteries. Also, once you have a good start you can take a shape edge and kinda peel off the coating, then take some very fine grit sandpaper and polish it up to a nice even coat. Good luck and happy vaping -
I'm with you on the White House...but it's really hard to choose which one is really the biggest Butt-Head. I think they all are pretty much a tie!!!

I really like how well the 306's perform. Great vapor and good flavor and TH. And now there is the DCA from GoodSenseVapor which is a drip shield for the 306. They come in both polished chrome and black powder coat. I haven't received mine yet (can't wait till it gets here) but I've heard some really good reviews on how well they work. The biggest problem with them is getting one...they no sooner show up on their site then there gone. If you're really into using the 306 I would suggest that you go over to their site and look into them and click the "notify me" button. Good luck and happy vaping

Or you can go to your local hardware store and pick up a "self-piercing tool" for around $8.00. They are meant to be used when taping into your water line on your refrige for the auto ice maker, but the saddle and punch part works good for holding the carto and punching a nice small hole.

Just Finished Week 1, Went To Get Replacements. Worried.
snubber replied to slowtrain's topic in New Vapers Forum
Glad things worked out for you. Like you many of us found out about e=cigs the hard way. My first kit was from a mall...very costly. But the important thing is that you started and are off the analogs. The Ego is a great unit with lots of different ways to use it. Atty's.. Carto's.. Tanks etc. It is a very popular device. And there is a crap-ton of juice and hardware vendors out there. So good luck, enjoy the vape and welcome to our happy little home here at Vapor Talk. -

You mean all this time I could have been making money for this????
-
FAN-FRICKEN-TASTIC !!!! Chris..have you ever thought of having your stuff published? Don't sell yourself short, you have a true talent. LOVED it.

Hello...as one who has the brass drip tips take it from me...you'll be better off if you get the anodized aluminum. The brass ones look good for a short time then they tarnish...very quickly. They also are heavy and have a funny taste to them. Do yourself a favor and get something else to match it.

She's really growing!! And damn, can she get any more adorable??

Well, from what I can tell they may as well get rid of the video chat. Every time I've been there lately there's never any one there. They've all defected to either VapeTV or Google+. What a shame.

I recently went to a new brick and mortar store of a supplier that I've ordered from before online. ( I wont mention the name so it wont sway any opinions). I bought several small things and a new battery and charger, and left thinking I would go online and make a shopping list instead of standing there trying to think of what I wanted to get. Well, when I got to the website I realized that everything I just bought was cheaper on the site. After comparing the prices I saw that I paid more than $8.00 (with taxes) over what it would have cost me if I'd gotten it online. Now i realize that I would have had to pay shipping (if I didn't go to the whse) but still, that's a pretty good piece of change for not having shipping. So I guess my question is, do you feel that marking up merchandise just because it's a new store is justified and would you go back and point out the differences and call them on it? I was excited to find out that they had opened a store but paying extra just for that is kind of a let down and pisses me off a little.

Damn DayVape (lol) "hooked on cartos works for me" but I do also like a good 306lr from time to time.

Why Can't You Use Cartomizers On The Standard 510 Battery?
snubber replied to cheryli's topic in New Vapers Forum
2]4]That's exactly the reason why not. The small 510 batteries just can't handle the strain. It will kill them much quicker.
