They do seem to be, don't they? But why? I'm not against things I don't understand. I want to learn and understand before making a decision. Most of the time. It took me all of 5 minutes to decide to give these a try. But it seemed so very obvious to me that they just had to be a million times better than analogs. I just don't understand most people.

Very well said, Dave. It does seem as though you may be impressed with your VP/PT. Hmmmm. One of my very first thoughts about the pt - before getting it - was, but what if I love the 5V so much that the others just won't cut it any more. Yeah. And that's what happened. But, I'm still using my VP2. I'm alternating between it and the passthru. I want to stay used to the VP2 in case anything would happen to the pt and I wouldn't have it to use. This way I'm not completely spoiled. Of course if you ordered one for every room, one for the car, and one for work, you probably would never be without one, huh? Way to be prepared, Dave!! And I remember someone picking on me about having backups for my backups. LOL I've also been wanting a more portable unit and have been looking at a lot of stuff. But now I want that 5 or 6 volt, too. From what I've seen it looks like the way to get that is to use the 2 CR's. I don't know too much about batteries, but I'm researching and making a list. Let me know if you find something. CONGRATULATIONS on your vaping nirvana experiences!!!

I am so happy for you, Dave. Glad you like the VP/PT. Okay, it sounds like you more than "like" it. That's great. What atty are you using on it? Now, hopefully you'll be able to cut back a bit on the nic level. I don't know about that, but I've heard people have had to cut back when using it.

My 510 batteries only last 60 to 90 minutes, too. That's why I started looking into something different. I am going to buy some mega batteries. I've been waiting for Wordupecig to get them back in and now I see they're in, so I'll order them. He sells them for $15. He did have 10% off and that would have been even better, but now that they are stocked, it looks like that special is off. But the price is still good. I've never had any, but have heard they last 3 to 4 hours and that sounds pretty good to me. And yes, that's all they do - extend battery life. Mega's last longer than regulars. The Spade is a mod for the 510 and uses a different kind of battery that is supposed to last longer. But basically it's just a battery for a 510 atty. I have a 510 passthrough, too. I have used it quite a bit at the computer and it's great. You can vape for as long as you want and not have to worry about battery life. And you can save those battery's for times you can't be at your computer. I have an adapter to use the 510 in the car, too. I like it that way, too.

Just so you know, dlynne, my spade batteries don't last any longer than my 510 either. Sometimes less. I don't seem to have a hard time with the charger. I put them on, the light is red, they charge for two hours, the light turns green. Just like it should be. But I can't vape very long. And it doesn't seem to matter if I vape heavy or light. I've even counted and I don't even get 100 drags before the battery is dead. I have 4 batteries and they're all the same. I did order some more, but they aren't here yet.
-
I've really considered that one, dlynne. I haven't been brave enough to try it though. It's made by someone I don't know and I'm not the most trusting soul alive. But, I've read just a little bit about it and I've watched the video's. It sounds like it could be a great thing for me when I'm out and about. Long battery life is great and having the juice contained inside the box would be ideal. It would mean one less thing for me to carry around in pockets when I'm outside working or whatever. I like the idea of having an atty that would last for 6 months, but what happens when it has to be replaced? Do you have to buy a whole new unit? I've tried looking at his site to see if there are any answers there, but after the page comes up, I can't get it do move or do anything else. I'd be really interested in hearing more about yours when you get it. I don't know anyone else who has one.

I've been wondering the same thing. I guess I was a goofy teen who didn't fit in, but really wanted to, so I forced myself. Who knows now? It was an awfully long time ago.
-
I'll be anxiously awaiting word on if it got there and what you think of it.
-
What a compliment! Thank you.

I don't know how they do it. When I got my VP/PT, it came from Cali, but took a day longer than the one that went to WV - and they were both shipped the same day. So maybe they go to WV before coming back to Nebraska. And I have had it take 5 days to get here, too.

Welcome to vaping and to Vapor Talk. It looks like you're questions have been answered, so I won't add to that. If you have any other questions, ask away. Good luck!!
-
Looks like you've gotten plenty of very helpful advice, Gail. So I'll just give you a great big warm welcome to Vapor Talk. Don't worry about the learning curve, we'll help you. Sorry about your rough day. I'm sure it will get better and better though - especially when you're vaping! Hope your grandson is doing fine now. I have 6 grandchildren - ages 1 thru 10. Good luck with the vaping and join in on the fun here, too. Even though these people are wonderful with the help, they know how to have fun, too.

It may not seem like such a long time to everyone, but to me it's a miracle. After so many years of trying to quit, after so many attempts, after so many different ways, with never more than a few hours off the analogs...and I find a way that is completely enjoyable, that does not leaving me craving analogs AND I meet a bunch of new people who feel just about the same way I do...It is great. To say the least. Thanks everybody. You're the greatest!!
-
Okay, jm, go ahead and make one. Then you can tell me how to do it. Well, maybe if I asked nicely you'd tell me how?
-
I can't believe how happy this makes me, but... It was exactly 3 months ago today...at about this same time...that I smoked my last analog...ever. I will have been smoke free for exactly 3 months tomorrow. I'm still in awe. Not only did I quit, I have not even wanted to have another analog. Not once. I haven't even wanted to try one to see what it's like now. My health has improved, I've increased my chances of living longer, I feel better, I breathe better, I don't stink, I joined a forum, I've posted on the forum, I've made friends with people I've never met, I've given advice to people I've never met, I feel good about me. So many things have changed in only 3 months. All because of Vapor Talk and vaping. For some reason I just felt the need to share that.

Congrats!!! So glad to hear this is working for you. Your helmet idea sounds very interesting. I don't ride a motorcycle, but I'd still like to hear about it. There really is a learning curve. I'm still learning and still looking for the perfect "fit" for me. I've heard about the model you got, but have never seen it. Keep us updated. Join in on the conversations here. It can be fun. Once in awhile.

How true!!! I've done both. LOL

My husband likes to tinker and make things in his spare time and he'd like to try making one. Just to see if he can. I don't know how safe homemade mods are, but here is a place with instructions and parts: http://www.madvapes.com/Default.aspx I have never ordered from them and don't know anything about them. We were just checking into this. We haven't done all of our research yet.

Some were very funny, some I just said ouch!, I felt sorry for some, but yeah, overall, I gotta agree with jeff. Here's your sign.
-
Ummm....yeah....well, I don't think I meant it the way you took it. But...yeah, let's just forget it.

Honestly, it doesn't feel like the atty is getting that hot. I keep feeling it to make sure and I'm not burning myself. And yes, they are soft tips. Thank you very much. That's what I needed to know. This is my first 5 volt unit and I didn't know what was normal and what was not and what was just the fault of the...ummm...person...handling the unit. I switched over from the 302 atty to an 801 LB, but I'm still getting the popping part of the time. It's like pressure building up and releasing. So, it's not a bad atty. Should I be vaping differently because of the higher voltage? I think this would be a good time to write that Vaping for Dummies book.

LMAO I love this thread. I've done no stealth vaping myself, but would really love to see everyone else's stories. This could be really funny. Thanks for starting it wright.

I completely understand how those things go. Sorry you're going through it, but I sure am glad to see you back on the forum.

As you can see, all of your questions will be answered. You've found a good place to ask them and good people to answer them. Welcome to the Vapor Talk Forum!!!!
