I haven't even opened the bag yet. That was just the smell I got through the bag. And thanks so much for the prayers. They really need it. They lost everything. They managed to get the family (in pajamas) and dogs out just in time, but couldn't get to the birds. She raises, or raised, birds (macaws, etc.) and lost all of them. The community is doing really great at gathering clothes, etc., to get them by until the insurance money comes in. Someone set up a benefit supper for them on the 2nd. We've been calling and getting donations for everything. Toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc., stuff they needed right away. I plan on starting my mixing in the morning. I'd start tonight, but then I might not go to bed at all and I think I might need some sleep. Thanks for the offer of help. I may need it. Okay, I'll probably need it.

Oh yes, it helps a bunch. I'm printing out your instructions as we speak - or uh, as we type? Anyway, they are printing. I'll do that and see what happens. It's a good thing I'm so cheap and couldn't bring myself to just throw them away yet. I hadn't even thought about this thread when they went out. I was just, ummm, maybe, cussing them out a bit. LOL Thank you for taking the time to write all those instructions out. I appreciate it.

I'm really late on this one, but Welcome to Vapor Talk, Michelle. If I had been on time, I would have thrown in my vote for the 510 kit, too. It's a really good way to start and I have to agree with the others about having it later for a backup. That's what I did. Well, until I loaned it out and now I think I need it back for my backup of my backup. LOL I'm going to order some new batteries though and I'll be find as I have a pretty good stock of attys. I also have a 510 passthrough that I can use for awhile, so I'm not completely out at the moment. I will admit that I am one of those who tend to panic if I think I'll run out of something. I thought I had all my bases covered, but you just never know. Someone teased me (or maybe they really weren't teasing) about me having backups for my backups. But hey, if I didn't, I would be out right now and in a world of hurt. Now I'm only a little nervous and will be ordering right away. As far as the liquid, you can order that from other places, too. It might not be as good as what you'd get at VT, but lots of people here like juices from other places, too. And you really need to have a good supply of juice. You can always order more from VT as soon as they get more in. I wish you the best of luck in your vaping. Don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have while you're learning.

Michelle and Dave, Just had to let you know that I got my order today. Tasty Puffs. I opened the package and couldn't believe the wonderful, fruity scents that popped out of that thing. Whoa!!!! And the bottles were in a ziplock bag! Wow! I can't wait to start mixing flavors. I didn't get a chance today because I was watching grandkids while my son went up to help some friends of our family who lost their house in a fire on Monday. I just didn't think it would work to try mixing ejuice with a 3 year old and an 18 month toddler hanging on me. LOL I'm really hoping I can taste them cause they smell soooooooooooo good. Now I really need to get that order in to FF!!

Michelle, I just went back to read over this thread again and saw that I had already answered this post of yours, but....I may have a different answer for you now. I didn't really give it much thought until just now, but I had an atty quit on me Tuesday (I think it was) and then I had two more quit on me on the next day. I thought it was just my luck. I haven't had an atty quit on me yet and here I have 3 of them give out in two days. I figured it was just their time. Hmmm. Now I'm wondering. I was just happily vaping away and they just quit. Worked one time and not the next. Just dead. I'll try giving them a good cleaning like you mentioned and see what happens. I'll let you know. If I remember... It might be something we'll have to look into.

Thanks for the link. I think I'll be buying a lot of this stuff in bulk now. I'm still using PG, too, so have a big supply of it. I already had a bunch of VG (I use it in other things like soap, etc.), but I'll be needing more since I now have another good use for it. lol

Thanks so much. I'll be just thrilled if a new charger works, but I've about given up hope. There just has to be something we can do. Others seem to be so happy with theirs, but the few of us who don't get the battery life need an answer. I think. Elem said it worked for him, so I'm hoping it will work for me. I got my new batteries and they don't last either - maybe about an hour. So I'd really like to give my Spade one more chance. Where did you get your trustfire charger? I'd really like to get one and give it a try. I can't think of anything else to do.

I'm anxious to see how it goes. Don't keep me waiting too long....please. I was working on my order for parts, left for a second to answer the phone, came back and my computer had reset. Now I have to redo the whole thing. But I really want the parts and want to get one made. I need back ups....badly. I'm going back and forth on ordering a new 510 kit or just some mega batteries. I have to make up my mind quick and get it ordered, before I have nothing left to vape with. Then I think I'll have my husband make me about 10 of those mods. Maybe that will keep me for awhile.

I'm just starting this myself so can't give much help. I have some 12mg bottles of ejuice I already had and am cutting it back to 3mg or under and adding flavors. But, from what I've heard, VG is what gives the vapor. I've been adding VG and flavor and I'm getting lots of vapor. Perhaps try adding more VG to your mixes and see if that helps?

If you're using menthol juice, I think you'll get the throat hit you want. Vapor is very much like smoke in that it feels and looks like it, but different in that it is a much lighter, cleaner feel. Since you already smoke, you know how to do this, but there are some slight differences. With vaping you take longer, slower drags than you do with smoking. Some people recommend pulling all the vapor into your mouth before inhaling and that seems to work well. But it doesn't work well for others. It will be a trial and error thing for you, like it has been for everyone. Just ask any questions you have and someone will have the answer. In the mean time, take it slow and easy and don't try to push yourself too hard and you'll get the hang of it in no time.

Welcome to Vapor Talk, totalchaos. I think you'll find a really good bunch of people here who are willing to help in any way they can. And congratulations on your journey into the wonderful world of vaping. I don't know about the Volcano or the Blu, so can't really give you any inforamtion on them. But I can tell you that you may well end up buying a different unit sometime in the future. I started with one, tried another, then another, before settling on the 510. I, too, needed the vapor and I get it with the 510. So, if the one you get does not give you what you want, just remember there are others out there that might - and probably will - give you what you want and need. Don't give up right away. Ask a lot of questions here and you will eventually get there. I'm sure of that. Good luck.

I agree!! I used the 801 on my VP2, but just never thought it was as good as the 510. I tried the 510 on my VPPT when I got it and it was good, but then I knew I had to try the 801 on it, too. I was completely amazed at how well it worked. Now I don't use anything other than an 801 on my VPPT.

Nice kitsune! You really should include everything in your picture though. I still haven't figured out how to load pictures yet, but I haven't tried very hard yet either. All of my juices are just cluttered altogether in a plastic tote, so it's not very impressive. I've got big bottles and little bottles of different shapes and brands. And now I'm adding the mix my own stuff to that. It would probably look like a jumbled mess if I put it all out and took a pic. I don't have as many units right now as I've given some away and loaned a couple out.
