Another Pack Of Lies: "electronic" Cigarettes
nana replied to Christopher's topic in General Vape News
Why is it that people who know so little, think they know so much? Here's to all the "know-it-alls"... -
Welcome to Vapor Talk! I've been vaping for almost two years now and I still love it.
-
Welcome to Vapor Talk! Beautiful dog!
-
That is HUGE!! Lots of nice features to play around with. I have a feeling you are going to love it, Brian. Can't wait to hear what you think of it.
-
Very interesting survey!! My answers would depend on how long I was going to be away from home. If I knew it would only be for a short time (say under two hours), I wouldn't take anything more than one of my bottom feeders or my eGo with a bottle of juice. But if I know I'm going to be gone for the whole day and I'm more going to be more than an hour from home, I always take a couple extra batteries, attys, and more juice than I think I'll need.

I didn't laugh at all until I read Mark's comment. Now I can't quit laughing. Thanks Mark!! I needed a good laugh.

Hello and welcome to Vapor Talk. Glad you found the answers you needed here. Sounds like someone has been doing their jobs correctly. LOL

ROFLMAO!!!!! Brian!!! Are they talking about you? You made the news!!!!????

Study: Texting May Help Smokers Quit Faster
nana replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
So true. So very true. Thank you for the best laugh I've had in days, snubber. -
Hello. And welcome. Have no fear, the eGo is much, much better. You are going to LOVE it!

What!!!??? In my honest opinion, the person who wrote that...never smoked one single cigarette in his whole life. Ever. Seriously. If you went somewhere you couldn't smoke, you might not "think" about it while you are there, but the first thing you'd do when you left was light up a cigarette. Really. I would have been running to the first place I could light up. "...the craving generally goes away in about 20 minutes"...huh? Um, nooooooooo, the craving gets stronger the longer you go without. Right? Or was that just me? A relaxing bath would have been a good time to have a nice, very long drag on cigarette. I have found that the best way to quit smoking and to relax is....vaping.

Welcome to Vapor Talk, Adam!! I'm glad this is a place that has made things clearer for you. We do our best to that - and more. We are here to help and answer any questions you might have.
-
Oh yes!!! That is EXACTLY how it went. LMAO That's an adorable video!
-
For my eGo, it's a 510 LR atty with cone on and topped off with a drip tip. Flavor? Mostly coffee flavors or atomic cinnacide.
-
Thank you for answering those questions, Jon. I seem to have completely missed them in my post.

That really is a good point, snubber. Perhaps some of us are "obsessed"? I know I was in the beginning. I had to try as many different models as I could. Once I got the eGo and LR attys, I knew I'd found my perfect vape. I loved my Black Silver Bullet, but used it mostly for driving because of the long lasting battery and for 5V vaping at the computer - until it quit working (gotta get it fixed). It wasn't until many months later I got concerned about a ban and didn't know what I'd do without my eGo (if I couldn't get the batteries) that I got the provape because I could get batteries for it anywhere. Then I heard about those "juice box" type mods and I had to have those for driving. Now I think my obsession for new PVs is over, but I can't say I won't ever get another either. My obsession for vaping will never go away. And don't forget...we NEED plenty of BACKUPS!!!!!!!

Those models work just fine, but they won't give you the vapor you want. The eGo really isn't all that big. It is slightly bigger than an analog, but it's still small. I can hide it in my hand easily and I don't have big hands. The automatic batteries have a shut off point which I - personally - can't stand. You can only take a short drag before it shuts off and I could never get enough vapor that way. With the manual batteries, you hold the button until you get what you need and then release the button. Much better for more vapor. Like BirdDog said, you can't use the LR attys or LR cartomizers with either of the models you mentioned. The battery has to be at least 3.7V and those are much lower. And if it's really the vapor you're after, you really need the LR - unless you go with a bigger mod at 5V, at which point you can no longer use the LR. But it sounds like you don't want a bigger mod. Yes, "0 mg" means 0 nic. You can send them a note and ask about the PG/VG. Most juice is PG based and if it's not, they usually say so on the site. But, I just got some 0 nic Cherry Tobacco flavor from them and it has a LOT of VG in it because it's very thick. You can just order what they have and if it's not enough VG, you can buy some anywhere and add some to the juice. It will, however, lower the flavor level a bit if you do that.

Of course I can't know for sure, but I don't think the pictures would have stopped me from picking up the habit. I first tried an analog when I was probably 10. Some friends had them and gave me one. If that choking and coughing didn't stop me, I don't think anything would have. I snuck a cigarette any chance I had after that, but didn't start smoking full time until I was 15. I know for sure those pictures would not have helped me quit. It was the cost that finally made me want to quit, but even then I couldn't. Vaping is the only thing that ever worked for me. And it's still working - almost two years later.

You were not disrespectful at all. Thank you for the explanation. Now it makes much more sense that you are interested in vaping. As far as an ecig goes, I would recommend the eGo. The battery lasts for several hours. For more vapor, I would recommend using a LR atty or a LR cartomizer. Each gives off fantastic vapor. For flavorful 0 nic juice, try tastyvapor.us They have "doublers" that are 0 nic. Choose a flavor that you already like to eat and give it a try. If you have them add some VG to it, you'll get even more vapor. If you don't want to buy that much juice at once to try it, you can also get good flavors from madvapes.com They have small bottles so you can try a lot of different flavors and decide which you like best without spending a lot of money. Good luck and happy vaping!

I just saw this on the news. They said the pictures will be on the whole back and part of the front of the cigarette packages. They seem to be sure those pictures will make people quit smoking.

Another option would be a juice box type of mod. The smaller mods carry a 3ml bottle of juice inside and the larger ones carry a 6ml bottle of juice inside. You can fill the bottles up and be set for just about the whole day. I've never had a leaking problem with mine and they are great to use while driving. Example: I have this kind http://www.oldgoatmods.com/Page2.html - it's a small unit that uses the 3ml bottle and a 14500 battery. The battery will last at least 4 hours for me (much longer than that for most people). And I have this kind http://www.rnrmanufacturing.com/Alii-Custom-Order_p_30.html - it's much larger and uses the 6ml bottle and an 18650 battery. This battery will last 18 to 24 hours for me (longer than that for most people). There are other options in "juice box", "bottom feeder", "auto feed", type mods out there...these are just the ones I have and can recommend. I'm sure others are just as good.

After reading both of your posts, I don't quite understand. You've never smoked and you only vaped once years ago. You didn't like vaping because you didn't get enough vapor...you want heavy vapor. How do you know you want heavy vapor if you've never had it? In your other post you said "The sensation of vapor coming out of the mouth is just so pleasant, it's akin to getting a nice body massage.", but in this one you said "I didn't particularly enjoy it because the ecig I had was pretty crappy and didn't produce much vapor at all so I left it." I'm not sure how it can be pleasant and yet you didn't enjoy it. If you did not enjoy the experience years ago, why are you interested again? Everyone here used to be a smoker. We switched to vaping in the hopes that it would be better for our health than smoking. We all believe that it is, but it is a substitute for smoking. For most of us, if we couldn't vape, we'd go back to smoking. Simple as that. Vaping isn't cheap by any means - even using 0 nic liquid. For most of us, it's just a better option than smoking. We are here to help anyone who wants to make the switch from smoking to vaping. We do not encourage non-smokers to take up vaping, but we can make recommendations if it's really something you want to do (assuming you are over the age of 18). If someone was wanting to try smoking, I would encourage them to try vaping instead, but I think I would try to discourage them from trying either one. I only want you to think about it.

I hate to even admit how many of those shows I watched on a regular basis. I even knew most of the clips - up until the 2000's. Of course the ones in the 50's I saw as reruns.
-
LOL @ Chris. I thought I was the only one who did that. Guilty. I still roll the window down. Luckily I've never thrown an ecig out the window though. (sorry, Chris, I had to throw that in there LOL)

Well, once again it looks like I waited long enough to see this so I didn't have to answer any questions (not that I'd be able to anyway), so I'll just welcome you to Vapor Talk. As you can see, your questions are answered here. Good luck with the filling/vaping.
