  1. How awful!! So how is a person supposed to know for sure if batts are protected? I mean, if you buy batts that SAY they are protected, how do you know for sure? Makes a person wonder.
  2. Looks like your questions were answered. I just wanted to let you know I'm happy that you're enjoying your 510. It really is a great unit to start with. Keep us updated on how it's going.
  3. Thanks for the info. That's good to know.
  4. All you have to do is click on my banner below and it will take you to the place you need to be to get your own. I still love checking the numbers on my banner.
  5. Oh, I wished I'd thought of that. I held on to my JC bottles for a long time, but couldn't figure out what to do with them, so I threw them out. They would have been perfect for mixing!! I loved them, too, and never had a problem with them.
  6. Hmmm, could be a tall order. I'm not sure, but I don't think there are a lot of us here that have even been vaping for 6 months, so number 2 might be a hard one for most of us to answer. I don't even know of any of the units that have been around for 6 months. But maybe someone can answer your question.
  7. I've never tried either one and don't remember seeing anyone on the forum who said they did, but there could be. I'm sure they'll let you know. I have an adapter that I got at Wal-Mart, too. It works great. And if you drop your 510 while driving, you have the cord to reel it back in. Nice.
  8. They sound really good, but I just seem to have a problem with the metal in my mouth idea. I keep thinking about them though. Good review.
  9. There are several sites online where you can get the flavorings, too. I started out by just adding a few drops of the flavorings to ejuice I already had. You can also add VG to them, too, for more vapor, but be aware that you also lower the nic level that way. Just be sure to pick flavors that you already like or that you think you will like. It really is easy.
  10. I gotta agree with everyone else, but I really like Todd's idea. LOL
  11. Other than the dr. finding your head up there, I hope everything else is just fine, jm.
  12. Very cool, Variven, very cool!!! Smoke just smells awful to me anymore and I don't have any desire to ever smoke again either. It's still surprises me.

Welcome to Vapor Talk. As you can see, if you ask, it will be answered.
  14. As worried as you must be right now, please remember you have friends here who are worried right along with you. I will keep you in my thoughts and my prayers.
  15. You would have a 0 nic juice to vape on. I do it all the time. I've lowered my nic level to 2 and 3, but I vape a lot of the 0 nic now, too. It works well. I don't have a recipe...I just add the flavor until I can taste it. I haven't been able to taste many of the already made juices flavor, so I started adding mine own and can taste them. But it has to be pretty strong for me. Not everyone is that way. VG adds to the vapor. You can add both VG and flavor drops to some juice that is already made, too. I've done that. It does cut down on the nic level when you do that though. There are others here doing their own mixing, too. You can check the DIY part of the forum for some other threads on this subject. You might find what you're looking for there.
  16. I don't have a hypothesis, but I'll give you a bit more info on me - in case it helps. I started out smoking full flavor cigarettes. Now this was waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy back when cigarettes were 45 cents a pack. When you could buy them in machines anywhere and everywhere - with just some spare change. When there weren't very many different brands and there certainly weren't any lights or ultra lights. I went down to lights a lot of years ago when I was going to quit smoking because of the price. By then they had jumped to $1.00 a pack. I figured if I cut down on the nic, I might be able to wean myself off of them. Nope. Didn't work. But I stayed with the lights for years and years. Then I did the same thing when I switched to ultra lights a few years ago when they jumped to $2.00 a pack. Still didn't help me quit. Nothing helped until I learned about and tried vaping. I did start with the 36mg, but quickly dropped to 24mg. I was probably at 18mg the longest, but I dropped very quickly down to 6mg and then 3mg. But that could be because I was smoking ultra lights at last. I don't know. I never thought about it. I just know the complete switch for me was the easiest thing ever and I had tried several different ways and devices to quit before and none of them worked.
  17. I haven't had any negative symptoms from quitting smoking. The only things I've noticed are the good ones: easier breathing, more energy, no headaches, sense of smell coming back, taste buds working better, etc. I didn't even have the cough to get crap out of my lungs that so many have mentioned.
  18. Thanks jm. I need a good backup. I was just getting ready to ask you if you'd done the 6v thing yet. I'd really like to try that, too. We've got a Dremel and all the parts to it, so we should be able to do it. I'll be anxiously awaiting your video.
  19. Well, I like my 5v and I'm curious about 6v. I hadn't thought about 7v before. But, who knows?
  20. Same for me. The 302s are great on the VP/PT. The low bridge 801s are good, too. I have some of each.
  21. You have my sympathy. That's just awful. I have to send mine in tomorrow to get repaired. Same problem.
  22. Well, I thought I'd seen all of your video review's, but maybe I missed one. I will watch it. I already have several of those batteries for my VP2, so I'm covered there. Along with the charger. I went and looked at the site and saw he had the adapters, so I'd get one of those, too. Probably for the 510, but maybe one for the 801, too. Just to cover my bases. I'm placing an order anyway and might as well get it all at once. And I think I will get one. Thanks again, jm. It's appreciated.
  23. I think I've only seen them for $99. I need a new backup and that's a pretty good price. So could you tell me a little more about yours? I don't know much about it. I'm working on an order with MadVapes right now, so it would be a good time. Thanks for the headsup jm.
  24. Congrats!!! A lot of people find they don't want analog flavors any more after vaping for awhile. Probably a good thing, too. That way you might not want to go back to analogs - ever. I'm glad you're enjoying your experience.
  25. First of all, welcome to the forum, Maeflower. I'd say welcome to vaping, too, but if your lungs are hurting, that might not be the thing to say. I don't think I've ever heard of anyones lungs hurting, so I'm not sure. It might be that the nic level is a bit high for you, but 11mg isn't that high either. Could you be getting sick? That might explain it. I'm sure someone who knows more than me (and it's not hard to find someone who knows more than me) will be along very soon to give you some help.
