  1. I agree! God bless our troops and their families who make the sacrifices every day.
  2. I really like that one, mcquinn. LOL That's great!!!
  3. If you guys do this, I'd be interested in seeing some pictures and hearing about how you did it. If you don't mind.
  4. I've been watching this thread closely because I'm seriously considering getting the eGo. I've heard so much good about it from everyone here who has one. They are out at the moment, but I sent an email and asked when they'd be back in stock and they said possibly today, but by next week at the latest. Just so you know. They have a place on their site to check if you want to be notified when they are back in stock, so I did that. They will send me an email - which saves me from checking the site everyday. That gives me a few days to decide for sure, but I really think I'm going that way. But don't count my vote because I've never had one and don't know what I'll think of it. I'm just going by the opinions of others on the forum.
  5. Welcome to Vapor Talk, Char. The drops part of your question was answered, so I won't repeat that. I will say that I agree that 3 to 4 drops work better in the 801. The 2 to 3 drops would be more for the 510. In my opinion. It might be a little bit different for everyone, but I have found that for me 2 to 3 drops is about 5 to 6 drags and for me a cigarette was about 12 drags. So if you use 4 to 6 drops, that would equal abut 10 to 12 drags or one cigarette. It is just a rough guess and might be different for you, but it might be somewhere to start or give you an idea of what might work for you. Good luck with the vaping and don't hesitate to ask any more questions you might have.
  6. I'm with Brian on this one. I use the 510 mostly on my VP2. I do use the 302/801LB on it, but I think I like the 510 better. But once I got the VP/PT, it was the other way around. I love the 302/801 on it. I didn't care of the 510 on it so much. Which is odd for me because I just love the 510 attys. But that's how it worked out for me. And I get fantastic life out of the battery with my VP2. I get 12 hours out of it easy. A lot of the time it's 16 hours. Not counting the hours I'm asleep. I only change the battery once a day most days. I've been using it for 3 months now and think it's just great. There are times I want something a bit smaller and lighter, but for the most part it's just perfect.
  7. Oh Krissy, I'm so sorry for all that you are going through. It would be bad enough to hear about the health issues and have to stay in the hospital, but then to get a nurse like that. Just awful. I do like the way you handled it though. LOL I wish you well and will keep you in my prayers.
  8. I like the soft-flat ones, too. I've never seen any like that for 510 or 901 yet. I ordered some 801's that were the thick, hard tip and was disappointed. I'm pretty sure I got my soft-flat 801's from Arno, so need to order some more. If I could find that kind in a 510 or 901, I sure would order them.
  9. I don't know about all Wal-Mart's, but I found mine there. They were on a bottom shelf and very hard to find. I had almost given up when I finally spotted them. They didn't have very many.
  10. Well, I never thought of it that way, FTJoe, but now that you mention it...what were we thinking? That really makes an awful lot of people sound very stupid when it's put that way. Yikes!!!
  11. Could you tell me where you got the very flat tip from? I've been looking for some, but haven't seen any yet. I like the very flat tip (rubbery) I have on the 801's and would like that in the 901, too. I'm sure I got the 801's from Arno and want to put in an order for some as I'm down to only one of them. I'v heard the 901's work great on a 510 atty and want to try them, but I don't like the thicker, hard whistle top as much. I have 10 of the thicker ones for the 801 and I just don't care for them, so will probably throw them away.
  12. Mine doesn't say it needs ot be refirgerated and I've never done it. Also, none of mine has an expiration date on it. Someone said Tractor Supply carried PG in the gallon size for like $23. or something. I haven't checked yet, but will the next time I go. And I just saw in a post someone said feed stores carry it, too.
  13. I do. That's the way I've done it from the start. I knew it wouldn't be exact for cutting down the nic, but knew it was close enough. And when I make some 0 nic, it's just the VG and a few drops of flavor until I can taste it, so there doesn't need to be recipe.
  14. Oh no!!! The horror of it all!! Just the thought of it makes me shudder. Although I do have to admit I giggled a bit at first. It is awful. But I've heard of someone else doing that once. Was it you, Chris?
  15. Awwww, the simple pleasures of life.
  16. I smoked for 34 years and as soon as I started vaping, I never had another smoke. It was amazing to me. Lots of people have done it the way you have, Michelle. It sounds like if you want to quit, you'll easily be able to do it. As far as the 24mg juice goes, if it's too strong and you already have 0 nic coming, you can cut the 24mg down to 18 or whatever you want. If you mix it half and half with the 0, you'll get 12mg. At least you'll be able to use the 24mg up. And yes, I've done that. I use 0 nic quite a bit. I've been doing that quite awhile now, but I've cut back to 2mg to 3mg nic now. I'm using more 0 nic than anything else, but I still have moments where I need some nic. I've even gone back to 6mg. a few times, but I'm very close to being at 0 all the time. I'm glad you're liking the units you got. It's nice to know that we can help.
  17. I'm one of the ones Brian was referring to who can't taste the flavors after months. I've been vaping for 4 months now and still can't really taste the pre-made juices. I've recently started to add flavor drops to my juice and started mixing some of my own. I can taste those. They just have to be very strong for me. I also said it didn't matter too much to me whether I could taste them or not because I enjoy vaping so much more than I ever did smoking. But it is nice to finally taste something. It's not a strong taste yet, but a taste nonetheless. I'm good with that. I really hope it doesn't take you that long. It doesn't sound like there are many people like me out there. Most only take a few weeks a most to start tasting.
  18. Welcome to the forum. I realize everyone is different and we like different things, but I tried the 901 and the 801 with the automatic batteries before going to the manual 510 and I can tell you that I like the manual a whole lot better. I get better hits and more vapor with the manual. I don't think I know of anyone who prefers the automatic batteries, but I could be wrong. Just thought I'd let you know. Getting some of each kind of battery is a good idea though. That you can know for sure which works best for you. Good luck in whatever you decide. And if you have more questions, just ask.
  19. Wow! That's amazing snubber. I have never had anything close to that happen to me. I would never have the guts to ask someone what they had in their mouth, so that part even amazes me. I think it's great though that you may have been able to help someone else and bring them to the vaper side. Good job!!
  20. Congratulations on your first week being smoke free! It only gets better and better. Be sure and keep us updated and if you need any help or questions answered, you know you can get it right here.
  21. It's so good to hear from you again, Uma. I'm glad you're safe and sound - and still vaping. I missed your posts, too, and can't wait to hear the rest.
  22. Me, too. I didn't start out trying to go nic free, but the further down in mg. I got, the more I started to think about it. But I don't want to quit vaping.
