This is such good news, Uma. I'm so happy for you! From the sounds of it, you're going to need one of those sheds, too.
-
Congrats Brandy!! I just got my eGo about 2 hours ago. I'd heard so much good about it that I just had to try it. So far I'm absolutely loving it!! The vapor is awesome and it fits so nicely in my hand. I'm already thinking about ordering some more batteries. I'll wait, but.... So far, so good.

I've been watching this thread with interest because I think I'm wanting one, too. I just love the 5v I get with my VP/PT and want that in a portable unit, too. I'm just being cautious right now. Since I don't have one, I can't really recommend anything, but I was wondering if I could add to the discussion by asking if anyone knows anything about the copper. I watched Grimm Green's video review of it and I am very interested in it, but nothing much more about it than what is in that video. Does anyone here know anything else about it?

Coming To My Forum Peeps For A Little Help.

I'm so sorry to hear this news, Dayvape. I'm adding my thoughts and prayers to the list. Do keep us updated when you can. -
That's great news!! And I really like your idea, Christopher. Nice one.

ROFLMAO - Oh jj, I can just see it now. One day soon, we'll see all these trailers traveling down the road and be giving each other the thumbs up because we'll all know that it's another vapor...carrying much needed supplies...LOL We'll have to pull off the road and compare notes and supplies, etc. Maybe have a little vaping party. Can't you see it? A rest area off of the interstate with several of these little buildings lined up, with clouds of vapor surrounding them? LOL I'm loving it!!!

So, in other words, we need backups for our chargers, too?
-
The carts are not going to last you very long at all. No way. Another place to try is Arno at Awesome Vapor. He has a sample set, too. So does Johnson Creek. I think samples are the way to go - especially at first. And at least until you find out what kind you like.
-
Uma!! How did you get to know me so well in such a short period of time? That is just amazing. I do believe you found what would work for me. I love the looks of the shed, it's on wheels so I can haul it where ever I go, it seems to be a fairly decent size for my supplies... Yep, I do believe this is it! Oh yeah.
-
Well Uma, the first two apply to me. The second two do not. This case might be a good starting point for supplies, but... I'm still liking the shed idea someone mentioned in another thread. Besides, I'm kind of cheap, so I couldn't pay that much for a container like that. I'd use the money for more backups instead. And I'd never own enough make-up for one those either. It's all about priorities I guess.

A Little Testimonial And Some Questions
nana replied to stevenf's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I'm sure it would be quite different for each person, but for me, I gradually went down on my nic levels. It wasn't intentional in the beginning. I started vaping with 36mg and did good with that. I did have a couple of times when I vaped too much and didn't feel well, but other than that I was good. I had some 24mg, too, just because in the beginning I didn't know what level I should be using. I started to use that and it seemed to do good, so when the 36mg was gone, I just never ordered any more of that. I didn't pay any attention to the timeline, but I know at one point I decided to try the 18mg. Again I did well on that and didn't order any more 24 after that. Before long I wondered how I'd do at 12mg. No problem switching to that either. After that I really wanted to see how low I could go. I started cutting the 12mg in half and did just fine at 6mg. Then I started cutting that down to 3mg and have been just fine with, too. I started vaping in October and I would say it was in November that I went down to 24 and probably down to 18 and then 12 in December. That's just guess really. I know that by January I was down to 6 though. I have even been vaping 0 quite a bit of the time. I'm not completely down to 0 though. I have my times where I know I NEED some nic and use the 3mg or even the 6mg at times. I just find that I'm needing it less and less. I still have the 12mg in the house and use that to cut down, but I haven't used it at that level since December. Once I knew I did fine by lowering my nic level this way, I decided I should just cut it down to 0 completely so that if there ever was a ban, I'd be okay and never go back to analogs. I'm pretty sure that I can do it at this point, but I have so much juice left with nic in it, that I will stay where I am for awhile until I'm out of the juice. I can't just throw it away. I really don't have a huge desire to be nic free, but don't want a ban to cause me problems later. I did not start vaping with the idea of giving up the nic, it just sort of happened along the way. And I really don't plan to quit vaping even if I get to and stay at 0 nic. If I gradually start vaping less and less, that's okay with me. I just don't plan to quit. I enjoy it. -
Thanks for posting this, jm. I've been a bit concerned about the batteries lately. Before all this came up, I didn't even know that batteries could explode. You'd think I couldn't get to be the age I'm at and not know something like, but I really didn't. I use batteries in so many things and have never given it a thought. But now having them so close to my face and hearing these things, it has become a concern. I used to charger my batteries overnight, too, but no longer do. I'd much rather be safe than sorry.

I am giving the Larsen brothers a great big standing ovation at this moment! Way to go guys!!! It is completely beyond me how a person can supposedly "report" on something and get it so very wrong. On every single layer. But then it is CNN and that's why I don't listen to or watch anything on CNN.

I can't seem to use more than 2 drops in my 510 attys or they leak. I'd love to be able to do 4 drops and have to drip less often, but it doesn't seem to work that way for me.
-
I am also a firm believer in backups for the backups for the backups...like kato said. But I also am a firm believer in plenty of spare parts. I currently have only 8 510 attys and I'm thinking it might be time to start stocking up again. And batteries. Gotta have plenty of batteries, too. Getting down to only one working unit is a time for total panic in my book. I'm glad you at least had the blu as a backup and hope it will hold you over.
-
How or what did you do with the aluminum foil to make a better connection?
-
Jeff, this sounds like what might be going on with my VP2, too. My problem is I'm so afraid of ruining it that I hate to try anything like this without knowing a bit more. Does anyone have any pictures that might help me?
-
Welcome to Vapor Talk, Matt. My best advice for not slipping up and going back to analogs is to have backups, spare parts, and lots of juice. I've become quite obsessive about having backups for my backups (as in units), lots of spare parts (as in plenty of extra batteries and attys), and enough juice to last several weeks at least. I'm down to 8 510 attys and I'm thinking it's time to get some more.

I just got this in an email and thought it was funny. So if any of you need a good laugh, this might be it. I doubt it's a true story, but it is funny. For those of you that bring in flowers for the winter. This is for you If you need a good laugh, you have to read this. I could not stop laughing. Garden snakes can be dangerous I didn't think twice about this tiny fellow on my baby boxwood until I got this letter: GARDEN SNAKES CAN BE DANGEROUS... Snakes also known as Garter Snakes (Thamnophissirtalis) can be dangerous. Yes, grass snakes, not rattlesnakes. Here's why. A couple in Sweetwater , Texas , had a lot of potted plants. During a recent cold spell, the wife was bringing a lot of them indoors to protect them from a possible freeze. It turned out that a little green garden grass snake was hidden in one of the plants. When it had warmed up, it slithered out and the wife saw it go under the sofa. She let out a very loud scream. The husband (who was taking a shower) ran out into the living room naked to see what the problem was. She told him there was a snake under the sofa He got down on the floor on his hands and knees to look for it. About that time the family dog came and cold-nosed him on the behind. He thought the snake had bitten him, so he screamed and fell over on the floor. His wife thought he had had a heart attack, so she covered him up, told him to lie still and called an ambulance. The attendants rushed in, would not listen to his protests, loaded him on the stretcher, and started carrying him out. About that time, the snake came out from under the sofa and the Emergency Medical Technician saw it and dropped his end of the stretcher. That's when the man broke his leg and why he is still in the hospital. The wife still had the problem of the snake in the house, so she called on a neighbor who volunteered to capture the snake. He armed himself with a rolled-up newspaper and began poking under the couch.. Soon he decided it was gone and told the woman, who sat down on the sofa in relief. But while relaxing, her hand dangled in between the cushions, where she felt the snake wriggling around. She screamed and fainted, the snake rushed back under the sofa. The neighbor man, seeing her lying there passed out, tried to use CPR to revive her. The neighbor's wife, who had just returned from shopping at the grocery store, saw her husband's mouth on the woman's mouth and slammed her husband in the back of the head with a bag of canned goods, knocking him out and cutting his scalp to a point where it needed stitches. The noise woke the woman from her dead faint and she saw her neighbor lying on the floor with his wife bending over him, so she assumed that the snake had bitten him. She went to the kitchen and got a small bottle of whiskey, and began pouring it down the man's throat. By now, the police had arrived. Breathe here... They saw the unconscious man, smelled the whiskey, and assumed that a drunken fight had occurred. They were about to arrest them all, when the women tried to explain how it all happened over a little garden snake! The police called an ambulance, which took away the neighbor and his sobbing wife. Now, the little snake again crawled out from under the sofa and one of the policemen drew his gun and fired at it. He missed the snake and hit the leg of the end table. The table fell over, the lamp on it shattered and, as the bulb broke, it started a fire in the drapes. The other policeman tried to beat out the flames, and fell through the window into the yard on top of the family dog who, startled, jumped out and raced into the street, where an oncoming car swerved to avoid it and smashed into the parked police car. Meanwhile, neighbors saw the burning drapes and called in the fire department. The firemen had started raising the fire ladder when they were halfway down the street. The rising ladder tore out the overhead wires, put out the power, and disconnected the telephones in a ten-square city block area (but they did get the house fire out). Time passed! Both men were discharged from the hospital, the house was repaired, the dog came home, the police acquired a new car and all was right with their world. A while later they were watching TV and the weatherman announced a cold snap for that night. The wife asked her husband if he thought they should bring in their plants for the night. And that's when he shot her.

Here's an idea for you, Dave. I know you need the 48mg and can't get close to that with VT, but....what if you ordered some VT in their highest strength and just used a couple of drops every now and then. You could at least enjoy the flavor, but not rely on the nic. Like right after vaping your 48mg and got enough nic for the moment, but just took a couple more hits for the flavor? You'd still be getting some nic and hopefully enough to hold you over, but you could enjoy the new flavors. You never know, but that might even help you lower your nic level a little bit. Or you might possibly be able to add a few drops of unflavored higher nic to a bit of the VT to raise the nic level. It might be an option for you. Just a thought. Me, I can't taste the pre-made juices, so I can't even do anything like that. But hey, maybe someday?

I thought that was a great one, too, Dave. Way to go, Ray!!

I tried one of the batteries from my Spade in my 510 PT and it didn't fit. Too big. I've been using my pt for over 3 months now and it's still doing fine. Maybe I got lucky with mine.
