LOL @ Brian!! I was thinking the same thing. So, watch out Purvapor...here comes Dave.......LOL

You've got my prayers coming your way, mcquinn. My mom has had both her knees replaced and was really glad she did. Do the therapy. It makes all the difference.

I don't know how common it is, but I have two new 510 pass throughs and only one of them will work with this adapter. The only place I can get the one pass through to work is on the computer. I do have an adapter for the car, but haven't tried either of the new pass throughs on it yet. I just thought I should mention that in case it happens to someone else, too.
-
Thanks for this info, Sarge. That would explain why the new wall/usb adapter I have won't work with the 2 new 510 pass throughs I just got.
-
Thank you, Pam. That was so sweet!

My stock answer is to have backups for your backups, backups. Never enough backups. But, for an answer, I would want to have at least 4 batteries. If you only have 2 and one quits, you'll be waiting on one to charge and that's no good. That's when you'd probably resort back to analogs. I'd also suggest having 4 attys. I've had 2 quit at the same time, so just to be safe, I'd say 4. Even if all you need to do is clean a couple of attys, it takes time for them to dry and be ready to use again. I'd also have at least 2 bottles of juice. When one is empty, that's when I'd order again. That way you'll have one on the way long before the second one is going empty. You don't want to get caught being low on juice and then have a delay in the mail or something. It may sound like overkill, but my biggest fear was always having to resort back to analogs. I don't think that's an option for me any more, but if I ran out of something now, I'd be pulling my hair out until I got new supplies in. I have a lot more backups than mentioned here, and sometimes still don't think that's enough. But then I like to be prepared.
-
I've only heard good things about them, so I wouldn't worry about the juice. Like BirdDog said, it takes time to learn this. I still flood my atty every once in awhile, too. The best advice I ever got was to take it slow and easy. That works well for me.

I have to agree with Brian on that one! I'm a BIG fan of the 510 atty, but on the VP/PT the 510 doesn't really compare to the 302. But so far, that's the only place I prefer the 302.
-
You can also get an 801 to 510 adapter from madvapes. There are a couple of other places to get adapters, so if you don't find one at these other places, I'll let you know about the others. I've been getting mine from mapvapes.

Yes, this is a husband and wife team. And what a team they are!! I've ordered from them several times and have always been more than pleased with the service. They always include a handwritten note, which I think is a really nice, personal touch. But, even without that, I would be quite pleased with them. They really are a nice couple and they really do care about their customers. I've even spoken with Jeffrey on the phone and he's as nice on the phone as anyone can be. As far as I'm concerned, you can't go wrong when you order from them.

If It Weren;t For Bad Luck....

Hey smokinhammer, so sorry to hear about your wrist, but glad to hear you're on the mend now. I've been trying to think of a question to ask and I keep drawing a blank. I looked at your profile to see if it would give me an idea and that didn't work. I did find out that your bithday is very close to mine (date, not year), so I know you are a Scorpio, so I can't even ask you what your sign is. LOL Okay, what else are you doing (besides Vapor Talk) to keep yourself entertained? What things are you finding very hard to do? I hurt my elbow last summer and found some of the easiest things to do normally, almost impossible to do anymore. Like brushing my hair. I'll try to think of a really good question and ask it later. Take care. -
Yes, the tornado and the eGo are the same thing. And yes, you need the adapter to use the regular 510 charger for the eGO/tornado battery. The batteries are about twice as much as the regular 510 batteries, but they last more than twice as long. Where I only get about 2 hours out of a regular 510 battery, I get a minimum of 6 hours from my eGo battery. I've gotten more than 8 hours from one, too, and others have reported more than that. So, for me, the extra cost is worth it. Plus, if I don't have to replace them as often, the price evens out over the long run...or could actually make it a better deal. I haven't had the eGo long enough to prove it for myself yet, but I just love the thing. It's great. I think the benefit over the regular 510 is the battery life and for me, it is really worth it. Oh, the vapor production is awesome, too!

I'm sorry to hear that, Brian. I was hoping they would be as good as "advertised". It would be a really great thing to have for driving.
-
Yes, mcquinn, that's the one! And it's one I've been keeping an eye for awhile now. I don't think I'd have a problem pushing on the atty to turn it on. Thanks so much for doing that review Skeptic! I've been hoping to hear from someone who'd tried it.
-
I know exactly how you feel.
-
I've had a problem like that, too, and I have to agree with these guys that it does sound like a flooded atty. Try the tricks they've mentioned to clean it up and start over. It might just work for you. It did for me. Let us know what happens, too.

Sorry, Redundant Question - Lorann's?
nana replied to ddavelarsen's topic in DIY e Liquid Discussion
Glad you found some, Dave. Be sure and let us know what wonderful combinations you come up with. -
I used to have a 901. A long time ago. Well, it seems like a long time ago. I started with what was probably an M401 knock-off, then ordered a 901. That was the first kit I got that had two batteries, so it was the day I got it that I never had another analog. That was on October 13th, 2009. I think I used it about a week and then ordered the 801 kit. If I remember right, it was because I'd heard that I would get better vapor from the 801. I do remember I liked the 801 better than the 901. And then I had the 510 on the 5th of November and have been in love with it ever since. I did give my 901 to my son and he still uses it as far as I know. But he said he wasn't that worried about the vapor and I'm always wanting more vapor. If I had my 901 here, I'd try it again to see how it does. It was good enough in the beginning to get me off of analogs, but I knew I wanted something better.

I got mine at Wal-Mart. -
I've had mine about two weeks now and am absolutely in love with it. I love the description of it being a 510 on steriods. LOL Very good, Uma.
-
I've only had my eGo for a little over a week now and haven't had any problems with it yet. I've been thinking about buying some extra batteries, too, for just this reason. I'd hate to be stuck with just one battery. Or even worse, none. I love my eGo, too. I have considered getting batteries from Totally Wicked, too. I've never ordered from them myself, but have heard good things about them.
-
Welcome to Vapor Talk. Wow!! A whole year. I can't wait until I can say that. I haven't noticed that problem with my 302's. I direct drip using 3 and sometimes 4 drops, but I haven't had that kind of leaking. Maybe someone else has and will be able to give you some ideas.
-
I have an eGo and absolutely love it! I'd heard such great things about it from these good people here, that I just had to try it. It has fantastic battery life and that's a big deal for me. It uses a 510 atty and I really love the 510, so that's a big bonus. It's a small enough unit that it fits nicely in the palm of my hand, is light weight enough to be carried in a pocket, and it looks really good, too. I would highly recommend one. You can get one from Janty or you can get one from Totally Wicked (it's called the tornado there) and I think Jeffrey has them at Wordup, too. Good luck.
-
Congrats Brandon!! Glad to hear it turned out well for you. And if you think you might need a bit more nic on some occasions, by all means get some and have it ready. It's better to be prepared. And have plenty of backups...and then some more backups. Batteries, attys, and juice. Just in case.

I could see that happening, Jeff. If I didn't vape already, another $1. added to a pack of cigarettes would make it even more tempting. So, are we ready for all the new members?
