  1. Great thread, Teri. I have to agree with all of you. I feel EXACTLY the same as all of you! @smokinhammer - I see what you mean about parents being to blame, but I can honestly say I never did that with my kids. For just a while there, they started to listen to others around them though (society) and thought they liked the sounds of their way instead of mine. Thankfully it didn't take them long to come back to the way they were brought up. And now they are raising their kids the way they were raised. Anyway, it isn't always the parents fault when kids stray. @Mark - I really would have loved to read your rant though. I love reading rants that I agree with.
  2. Good stuff!! We need this kind of info out there where more people can pay attention to it. I'm not done reading all of it yet, but I'll keep reading. Thanks for the links!
  3. Nice!!! Um, Mark? How long is that list?
  4. Hey David, I have to put my vote in for the eGo. I absolutely love it!! I've had it for a few weeks now and couldn't be any happier with it. I just need to have a couple more batteries as backups. I love my VP/PT, but I like the 302 atty on it better. For the 510, I have to say eGO all the way!
  5. LMAO - Oh....you are good! Very, very good.
  6. Very interesting, jeff. Thanks for sharing.
  7. ROFLMAO You guys really have me rolling on the floor today! It's so nice to not be alone in this vapaholic thing and now to realize it's a "Buyaholism" thing, too. But they say there's safety in numbers, right?
  8. Okay, I've pulled myself up off the floor long enough to finish reading this thread. Ummm..FTJoe, exactly what did you mean by "I just figured nana was going to show up sooner or later...might as well try and diffuse! ;-)"? Are you saying I'd show up and ruin all the fun? Hmmm? jm did use the word "lady", and I don't see anything wrong with him finding something sexy. I may be getting old, but I'm not THAT old yet. I'd feel honored if someone found something about me sexy, but alas....<big sigh> Yeah, Teri, but not all of us nana's are hot like you. Sadly, some of us have never been hot. But you go girl, why be modest about something like that? I wouldn't be. Excuse me now...I have to go back to my laughing. LOL
  9. Welcome DHack. You can get a sample pack of 3ml bottles from Arno at Awesomevapor. That would be a good place to start.
  10. LOL - Any way you could post a pic of one you've done? I love the idea of using the 801 tips on the 510 attys. I just love the soft, flat tips!
  11. I'll be anxiously awaiting your review on it, jm!
  12. This is when things start getting even more exciting! I'll put my guess in as March 10th...since that is my grandson's 3rd birthday.
  13. You and your family continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
  14. I have one 510 PT with an inline battery and it works with the car adapter. The 2 new 510 PTs I have don't have the inline batteries. I've looked for adapters with more "power", but so many don't tell you what the mah rating is at all. I do a lot of vaping on AC power, too, but use my ego when I can't use the PTs.
  15. Well at least you're finding some great ways to keep yourself entertained while you heal. Vaping, vapor rings, flavored ejuice and Vapor Talk. Sounds wonderful to me!
  16. I've never used the envy either, but I've found those pre-filled carts just do not last any length of time at all. Buying the juice and filling your own is the only way to go. There are lots and lots of places you can order juice from and there are even more flavors, so you can have quite the variety if you want it. Good luck and happy vaping.
  17. I just got done looking at their site and I'd say that's a pretty good deal. I may even order some extra carts from them. And a couple of other things, too. Thanks again and I will let you know as soon as I try it.
  18. Thanks for that advice kitsune. Like you I think I've tried just about all the different tips and tricks and none has been great in my opinion. I'll have to give this one a try.
  19. Why would you need two bodies? Teri, pay attention here, backups, backups, backups. You can never have enough backups. As far as the battery life for the DSE905 goes, I don't think I'd believe the up to 2 days thing. Now I could be completely wrong, but I've been using those batteries in my VP2 since last November and I get an easy 12 to 16 hours of vaping time with them. That's not counting overnight hours when I'm not using them. From others have said 8 hours per battery is about average. I've had them last only about 10 hours for me, but that was with some pretty heavy or even chain vaping. Unless you are a very light vaper, I can't see the batteries lasting that long. As far as the eGo batteries go, yes they are more expensive than regular 510 batteries are. They cost twice as much. But you get more than twice the time using them between charges, too. Regular 510 batteries last me about an hour to an hour and a half. My eGo batteries last me 5 to 6 hours of heavy vaping. I'm going to get a couple more batteries to be sure and have plenty of backups. If you were paying attention before, you know how I feel about backups. LOL If money is tight, you could buy an extra battery once a month until you had the backups you want. Or buy one when you have the money and then another in another month when you have money again. There are ways to get the backups without going broke all at once. I absolutely love the look of the janty stick and was really right on the verge of buying one. But then I saw it used the 10440 batteries and those batteries did not work out for me. If it used the 14500 batteries, I would have one right now. And would probably like it even more than my eGo, but alas, I knew those batteries wouldn't work for me so I just have to enjoy looking at pictures of the janty stick. <sigh> Like I said before, I've never owned the Screwdriver, so you'll have to listen to profbeard on that one. I am impressed that he's had his for a year now and had no problems. I've only been vaping for 5 months and haven't had anything last even that long yet. Since you already have 901 attys, it probably makes more sense to get something you can use those with instead of switching to something like the eGo. I'm just a big 510 atty fan, so everything I consider has to at least be able to use the 510 atty. If you go with the DSE905 or Screwdriver, you can someday get an adapter and try the 510 atty with it, too, so that gives you another option. Good luck on your decision Teri.
  20. Hey Teri, nice to see you posting again. By the way, you forgot to tell us how old you will be on the 14th. I don't have a screwdriver, but I do have the DSE905. In black. I like black better. From the pictures, they look a lot alike, but I don't know if they are. I do like the feel of the 905 in my hand and it works good, but I like my eGo better. I do have the adapter for the 905, so I use my 510 attys with it instead. I just don't care for the 901 atty. For me, they just don't put out enough vapor. Also, my 905 does have a cutoff. I don't like cutoffs. At all. If I'd known this one had a cutoff, I wouldn't have bought it. I don't know if that helps you at all. I'd say if you like the black better, you could easily go with the 905 instead of the screwdriver. I doubt there would be enough difference to make one a lot better than the other. But I could also be very, very wrong.
  21. Go to Char's profile page and she has a link to her art work there.
  22. I have used a few of Tasty Vapor's flavors and liked them, but I've never had wintergreen from them so can't give an opinion on that one.
  23. I think that's a very good question, Jeff. I did find the best place to buy analogs for the best price though. But...I'm also the one who said she would never, ever, pay 75 cents for a pack of smokes...then said she'd never pay $1. and then would never pay $2., etc. I think the big thing with finding good prices is that when we get better deals, we can buy more stuff. You know, some of us have to have backups for our backups. It isn't as easy as running down to the corner to buy a pack of smokes was before. Now we need to have more money up front. Especially when we hand over $100. for one unit and that doesn't include all the extras. But, I've also spent more on vaping so far than I would have on analogs in the same amount of time and that might be a factor in it, too. Although, I am within a week of breaking even now. Which probably just means it's time to spend some more.
  24. Welcome to Vapor Talk, sensay. Don't apologize for asking questions. Ask as many as you need to. That's what this forum is all about. We've all been where you are right now and it can be somewhat overwhelming at times. We just want to help. When I first starting vaping, I was told the cartridges were equal to two packs of cigarettes. It didn't take me long to figure out that was not true. Not even close. I could go through one of those carts in less than a day. Easy. So, the sad truth is, those carts will probably not last until you can get some juice delivered. Sorry. Although, everyone is different, so it's possible. But you will want to get some juice ordered right away. And just so you know, the juice that comes in those carts doesn't taste very good anyway and that's why everyone always recommends that you buy juice and either drip or refill the carts. Good luck and keep asking questions.
