@Uma - Thanks for the info about the eGo case. I'm gonna be watching for that one. @TeriJo - Way to go girl!!! I am so glad you're happy with your eGo. And don't you worry about those nasty analogs. I know they'll be out of your life in no time. I was one of the lucky ones that gave them up in an instant, but I went into vaping KNOWING this was my answer. And it was! I'm just happy that your happy and this is working out for you. Congrats.

Welcome to Vapor Talk, Summ27. I have the eGo, which is the exact same thing as the tornado, but with a different name. I can highly recommend it as a wonderful unit. Normally when someone new comes here asking for recommendations, I always say the 510. It's a simple unit, more the size and shape of a regular cigarette, and puts out vapor similar to regular cigarettes, so I think it's the perfect first ecig. But since someone you know has recommend the tornado, I'd say that's okay, too. The eGo or tornado are basically 510 units with batteries that are just a little bit bigger and last quite a bit longer. The batteries do cost about twice what the regular batteries cost, but they last so much longer that I feel it's well worth the price. There is no charging case for the tornado, but the batteries last so long, you really wouldn't need one. There is a size difference between the 510 atty and the 901 atty. There is also a difference in the amount of vapor. I was never happy with the 901, so I just don't recommend it, but lots of people are very happy with the 901. It always come down to personal preference. I really feel that you can't go wrong with tornado. It's a bit more pricey than the regular 510 kit would be, but I think you'd want to move up to something like the tornado someday soon anyway, so you could save yourself a little bit of extra money by going this way to begin with. I do have 4 of the regular 510 batteries, but I don't use them. I keep them as a backup, but I use my eGo/tornado all the time. Good luck with whatever you choose and be sure to ask any questions you have. You'll get plenty of answers.

Glad to hear you're enjoying your new tornado. I have the eGo, so know exactly what you are talking about. It sure is a great unit. Keep us updated on how it's going.

You bet I am, Brian.

Welcome to Vapor Talk, joedougfish. If you were new to vaping, I'd say you should probably start with the regular 510 unit, but since you're not...in my opinion, the eGo is really worth the money. I have the regular 510 and love it, but the batteries do not last very long. About 1 to 1 1/2 hours each. I keep that unit as a backup. The eGo is basically the same thing. It consists of a cartridge, a 510 atty, and a battery - just like the regular 510. But the battery is bigger than the regular batteries and lasts 6 hours or longer. So, to get the same amount of time from the regular 510 unit, you would have to have at least 4 of the regular batteries to get that amount of time. So the eGo batteries are a lot more convienent - not so much time spent charging and changing batteries. The replacement batteries are more pricey, but really are only twice as much as a regular battery, but you get a lot more than twice the time from them between chargers. So, to me, that is well worth it. I think, overall, it doesn't end up costing more because of the extra length of time on the batteries. Plus, the eGo does come with that cool cover that make the whole unit look so elegant. So, yes, I think the eGo is the way to go. Hands down! I only have the two batteries, but will be ordering a couple more soon. I don't want to have to rely on only one battery if one dies on me. I do need my backups.

Can't wait to see the video (or video's) Dr. J. Glad to hear you like it already.

Good job, mcquinn!! Thanks for sharing your pic with us.

I have to agree with everyone else. I'm sick of taxes, taxes, and more taxes. I started adding up everything we pay out in taxes. It started to scare me, so I quit. And they are always wanting more and more. Now our town is saying they are going to raise our electric rates 29%. Water and sewer are going up, too. Oh yeah, and so is garbage. We also have no choice in the garbage pickup. They add it to our electric bill. It's actually getting so bad that people are wondering how they will ever make it. I know the feeling. It's like they're robbing us and we can't do a thing about it. Yeah hammer!! I loved the flavors comment, too. LOL

Study: Iowa Cigarette Sales Drop 52 Percent
nana replied to ddavelarsen's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
Excellent, Dave, excellent! You handled that very well. -
Thanks for that link, Jot. I hadn't seen that video yet. That looks really nice!! I really like the looks of the ego already and didn't want the tip to take away from the looks. It most certainly does not take away from the classy look of it, that's for sure. I think I know what I'm putting on my list next.
-
I've been considering one of these. Let us know how it looks on your ego, okay? And be sure and let us know what you think, too.

Don't step down, Joe2003. I agree with you completely. We're supposed to be so forgiving of everyone and everything - except smokers and smoking. I really hope they don't ban these, but I agree with FTJoe on getting down to 0 nic as a way to have a ban not affect us. But I also know it's not an option for everyone. I have a feeling there may be a bunch of "bootleggers" out there if they ban ejuice.

I think it depends on the PT though. I have two of the 510 PT's and one works on my wall and car chargers and one won't, it will only work on the computer. At least by having two of them, I know it's the PT and not the adapter. In the case of only one PT it's hard to tell where the problem is. Just thought I'd let you know that I have the same thing going on and what your problem could be.

Finicky Five-Ten Passthrough
nana replied to Tektronik's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
I got two of those passthroughs on the same day from the same place. One works on the computer, on the adapter in the car, on the wall adapters...and works well. The other one does like you said yours does...only on the computer and not on any of the other things. I'm guessing the one passthrough isn't such a good one. It happens. I just use that one only on the computer and use the other one anywhere I want. Perhaps you can exchange your passthrough. -
I've never had less than 5 hours before, so yeah, they will last that long. I know one time it only lasted for 5 hours, but for the most part it is more than that. Just depends on my mood, what all is going on around me, etc.

Yes it is, Dave. The people - who are so willing to help. Like you for helping Joe get his message where it needed to be. +1 to you for being such a good guy.

How Much Juice Do You Use On Average?
nana replied to hardwired's topic in General Vaping Discussion
When I started out, I only used about 1ml per day or 7ml in a week. Then it slowly went up to 10ml a week. I have noticed that the lower I go in nic, the more I vape. I go through more like 2ml a day now. But I have gone through 3ml in a day. I know I go through the most when I'm using my VP/PT, but I don't use it full time. I'm using 0 nic juice out of larger bottles and when that's all I use, I don't really know how much I'm using. Just a guess, but I'd still say between 2 and 3 ml a day. -
Ain't it great? I don't think batteries last me quite that long, Teri, but I'm sure not complaining either. They last long enough that the next battery is charged and last for several hours, so I'm good with that. Except now I want a couple more batteries. Just in case. Cause...you know...that backup thing I worry about so much...
-
I'm so glad you like your new eGo, Teri! I know I love mine. I couldn't be happier with it. I hope you do find your toes in the morning. If not, the eGo was worth it, right?

I've thought about you several times today, Teri, and wondered if you got it. Glad to hear you did and are having a "lovely time" with it. Now we want to hear more!!!!!

Is This The Definition Of Stupid
nana replied to bzeisman's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
Yes, I think it just might be the definition of stupid. -
I've been vaping 5 months. My sense of smell started improving right away. I can smell coffee again for the first time in years. Some foods taste different to me now. But I still don't have much luck in tasting the vapor. I had a couple that I could "sort of" taste, but that was all. Then I started mixing my own and can faintly taste those. But I have to use a lot of flavor to get the slightest hint of a taste. I don't mind because vaping is a whole lot better than smoking ever was.

Too Many Subjects So Here We Is In The Lounge
nana replied to TeriJo's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
Oh no, you did not offend me at all. I did know what you were talking about. And I agreed. I just wanted to add that sometimes society has more of an impact on kids than parents do. I was lucky that my kids turned back around. That's all. I worried for awhile that they wouldn't. But you should hear them now! It's great to hear them say "I should have listened to you when..." Makes a mother proud. And I know a lot of parents who say that. Never could stand that. My parents never got called by the school, but I wouldn't have been sitting for a very long time if they did. No doubt about it. -
I even like the looks of the roboplow!! I just wonder how well it does with big amounts of snow.
